IIRC the highest ranked promoting team changes side with the highest ranked demoting team.

That means, you'd swithc sides with a team that got close to qualifiers. But whether yous witch sides with a weak team that got close to the qualifiers in a weak league or with a striong team that got close to the qualifiers in a strong league is not said.

It's just luck, but you might also get into a strong league when swithcing sides with a bot.

If you promote with 42 points, then you can be sure to be placed as team 7 into the scheme, which means you start with a home game (which might be a good start, but is personal preference)

So, I'd say go for 42 points!
