How long should the Tourney Rounds Last?
 

So how long do y'all think the rounds should last? I'm thinking not less than two weeks, not more than four.

I vote 4 weeks, but practically why not make it monthly? new file could be posted same date each month then.

A month? as in GOTM? it's fair enuff you guys say that inspired this, but to also make it last a month? ...blah

well... you have a point there EA! I hadn't thought of it like that. if we want to be different and do it 4 weeks (strict) we can also get 13 games a year, woot!

I originally voted four weeks.

Now it occurs to me that perhaps we should run a few rounds, and see how long each one takes, and go from there.

But Mr Deflower-My-Forum(;)) has it right. . . if it was monthly, then it would be a straight rip from the CFC GOTM. I'd rather not make it too obvious. . .

Who cares if this is a complete copy of GOTM?

Its a good idea and I for one have no problems with copying it.

Lets not cripple a good idea just because we wanna be different.

Matrix is the original creator of GOTM anyway, and he is a CDZ member, and this lil' tourney has nothing to do
with GOTM so please stop saying we are "copying" GOTM, it makes no sense [mad]
Dozens of site are running their own little game and nobody ever said it they were "copies of GOTM" !

Since these are quick games, whaddaya say we let a couple of rounds go and see how it turns out. I see no reason to make it a monthly game if everyone is finished in two weeks.

OTOH, if everyone here is wanting to go past 10ad, I have no problems with that. This isn't my game. This is our game, and it should reflect the siteuser's wishes on how it should be done. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of different types of game, if it came to that. It is my hope that there is enough response to this to also get a pbem going. That probably would be a monthly type thing. Or at least one started every month. Not sure how the process will go.
