Linux sale on Steam
Steam for Linux is out of beta, and to celebrate there's a discount on Linux games on Steam until february 21st. The sale includes Crusader Kings II for 10 euros. Note that if you buy that version, you get to play it on Linux, Mac and PC (so even if you don't have Linux, you can still buy it and play it on PC).
I cannot stress enough how awesome Crusader Kings II is. Okay, it's not Europa Universalis, but the game is excellent. The DLC is also on discount, but you don't need to buy it. Unfortunately the new Republic DLC isn't on sale, as that seems like a completely different game. So. Buy it. |
Bought CKII just 2,5 weeks ago. And for a lot more. :(
Confirmed that it runs fine both on Ubuntu and on Windo$e 7. |
You bought CK2 and didn't post a walkthrough of your game? Shame on you!
|
Still investigating the enormous amount of possibilities. Is there a quick start guide somewhere?
|
You could read this and this/ Apparently starting in Ireland/Dublin is pretty much the tutorial. Although the amount of options might seem overwhelming, compared to EU3 the popups (at the top of the screen) are very good at relaying the important information to the player.
Propain started in Ireland, you could read his walkthrough as well. Oh wait, he didn't write one [whipped] |
I also own CK II, just not got around to starting it yet as my son picked up Borderlands cheap and I decided to join him.
Damn that game's fun :) [meli] |
Borderlands 2 is even better!

The Republic DLC is on sale!
