Restricting Users
 

Is their any way to restrict users from visiting a certain thread? Or do we have to just hope that everyone follows the honor system? Which you guys better...

God, if you can't trust someone not to look, then don't play them!

There are so many ways to cheat in PBEM's that you *have* to trust your opponent(s)...

If someone is suspected of cheating(!) I may be able to check IP logs for the threads, although I am not 100% sure about this yet.

IP logs won't tell you in all/most cases, if people use dynamic IP adresses you won't see a thing. Also it's pretty easy to use a different IP adres when you wanna cheat. I'd say the honor system shoudl do the trick.

I have to admit I looked at Shabbas thread - misclicked in the list. Took me about threee seconds to realise it was a thread I hadn't posted in... u-oh, can only be *that* thread. Close window.


I guess the honor system is OK; cheaters will out anyways......
