Attacks in Paris
This has been a shitty week here...
|
Yeah... :( anyone you knew personally involved?
|
No. My brother told me about one acquaintance, who works very closely to the offices, and got to see the massacre upstairs. You can hear his story here, it's in English.
I'm going to that giant march tomorrow, in the streets of Paris. |
I was in the departement Aisne last week. It wasn't very comforting knowing there were killers on the loose in the region we were but we didn't notice anything really. Except lots and lots of police around and helicopters at night in the distance helping in the search.
We did worry thursday night though when we read on the news the police would stop the search for the night ... |
On my way home, I had to run to catch my train. With all the police on Rotterdam CS I expected to catch a weapon stick n my neck, but apparently they were too busy interrogating random maroccans. Pretty bizarre.

So I marched in the streets of Paris yesterday. Here is me with my signpost. On the other side was written "Paris est libre de rire", meaning "Paris is free to laugh". :)
Pretty scary, Rik... |
