I was just wondering. Atm I have two excellent strikers. I want to upgrade these with the money I make. Over the next week, taking in to account the sale of my pull, I should have around 1.1 million pounds to spend.

Am I better off buying two formidable strikers with worse passing or spending just over a million on a formidable striker with excellent passing?

Or am I better off buying one outstanding striker?

Is the passing definately worth the extra money?

I guess it depends on what you are going to do. If you are going to play AIM or AOW alot then the passing is a bit more valuable, otherwise the extra level of scoring might be more worthwhile. You might also want to look into getting a player with high SP if you don't already have one.

Holy smoke, that's an insanely good YP! This will net you over 500k, easily. It's almost a very good reason to switch to forward training. This guy can make the u-21 squad.

Well, as the trend of upgrading secondary stats will most likely continue, passing might become more important in the future. But let's put that aside for now.
Take a look at where secondary stats can give you an advantage: high passing is good for unpredictables, set pieces is good for long shots. Passing is also important if you play strategies like AIM and so on.

My advice would be to go for a formidable with high passing and unpredictable, but that will cost you a lot more than one without unpredictable. So that might be out of your league. But unpredictable is a bit of a waste on a player with low passing. He would still create opportunities for himself, but not on others.
Another option would be to go for a player with high set pieces. Since this hasn't got that much interest, this could be a lot cheaper. A final note, don't forget about heading.
