Can I play Civ5 without buying it forst in that group ?

Well, in some universe it actually makes sense, since you're using Steam as a means to find other players.

Just had a steam update download which includes this item:

Added support for Civilization V charity promotion (not visible until Civ5's launch)

I suppose they're collecting funds to help civ addicts like ourselves get into some sort of rehab program.

Funny, there are more people joining the steam group. NHJ has joined (as the great dictator), there's even some korean guy that joined.

BTW, under friends>settings you can set your profile name. It can be different from your account name, and duplicates are allowed. So you can take your own nick if you want :)

Interestingly Steam says the game will be up in 2 hours, that would be 1 am, so UK midnight I suppose. That sucks, too late for me.

I bought Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 last week, 10 euro's for two epic games. It's also about as much as they're worth. Slaughtering zombie bots is a lot of fun if you play coop though.

If anyone hasn't got Plants v Zombies, it's on offer for £2.38 at the moment.

And you get two tf2 hats with that.

I think PvZ is worth its regular price, so at this discount it's a steal. Tower defense with zombies and cheesy jokes. What else do you need?
