Looking for some serious spanking
 

Strong and committed opponent(s) urgently needed for a 1x1 no-AI PBEM on a tiny/small map. I feel like I need to lose finally before Civ4 comes around. Pangea is preferred (game is shorter) but Continents/Archipelago are OK as well.

I would accept if I thought I had any chance of winning. But I don't, so I won't.

I need to be taught a lesson, so I could play you.

That is different kind of spanking going on in DM IV. That is not 1x1 no-AI. I'm not the only one to screw the things there. ;)

Just joking, certainly you do meet the criteria. We can try to meet on MSN later today and discuss the settings. How does that sound? And since you are often awake late at night, we can move it at a very fast pace.

I'm also going on holiday. Starting next week. That will mean a period of "no playing".

Since the game with Rik has ended, I'm looking for some another Civ3 PBEM, 1x1 no-AI, all other stuff open to discussion.

You think that pangaea is more fun then continents? I'll have to trust you cause it's my first pbem, though continents would allow me to survive longer :) I'd play egypt then :D

OK, then Pangea it is. I'll think about a civilization choice. I've just played Zulu against Rik (Egypt), need to try something else then. Seems that Zulu is a very strong counter to War Chariots. What shape of Pangea? Choke or no choke?

Both is fine with me. I just think that a straight up pangaea may be a bit too fast :)

Ok, then it is Pangea with relatively wide choke, not 1-tile width but a few tiles-width. I still have not yet decided on counter to WCs, being hammered at work and such, have no time to think.

I think I will go for a good old Rome. Really, there is no match for Egypt among non-agricultural civs on this map setting except may be Zulu but one of their traits is pretty useless except for early granary which is not that important compared to Industrious. I was thinking about France but that would mean essentially playing without Golden Age or with a very remote possibility of it. So, it will be Rome. I hope we can find the mapmaker for this map.

Im looking forward to this one, I want to see some spoilers from both of you. Akots, could you put up a spoiler from the Great Armada PBEM? Everyone complaining about your massive horsemen/pirate attacks has me intrigued.

Ok, I thought nobody is lurking on that one. I'll try to write something up then, might be digging through some saves to get the screenies.

Not really lurking hard, I just played that scenario in an SG as Spain, and never realized the power of the Muslims there. Whoever is playing Spain screwed up there I think by not taking it to you in the early turns.
