MY NEIGHBOURS ARE CLOSE! OK...no problem...BUT THEY ARE PURPLE TOO!
This annoys me![aargh] It is a hazard to click every warrior every turn and I refuse the fucking teamcolordisc.

Oh well. lets play colourblind then.[hmm]

Skyfish 26-04-2004 13:14

Team colour discs are great :D

Aggie 26-04-2004 13:22

I checked everything, but you shouldn't have gotten purple. It should have been pink. I can't imagine that Beam changed settings. [hmm]

Kingreno 26-04-2004 13:26

Maybe the name of my capitol combined with the colour Pink triggered an error in Civ3hardcode?

Aggie 26-04-2004 13:28

I now vaguely remember a discussion with Beam to change the colour, because the Arabs were pink as well :(

Skyfish 26-04-2004 14:29

Beam maybe changed the colour because of the Arabs but forgot that the Iros had this colour as well :D
For only 16 times pressing Enter I would start the game over : I can modify the biq and start the game for you.
Are you playing 1.22 btw ?

anarres 26-04-2004 15:09

Wow! This is gonna be a funny game to watch... [lol]

Beam 26-04-2004 16:29

I recall that we chatted about the map and Aggie changed a couple of things but nothing about the team colors. Anyway, I just loaded the Biq and created the sav in the normal routine.

Easy solution btw., eliminate the Iroqs and not only your color worries are over ;)

Kingreno 27-04-2004 09:13

Well, thanx all, such confidence![eek]

As said we started the game by founding our magnificent city De Banaan. We sent our scout out to find neighbours and huts. The damned Arabs got a setler in turn 3 or so so PP is already in the lead. [aargh]. It MUST be the color. I get a conscript warrior however, so nothing *is* lost.
As SapaInca I stand on the terraces of my palace and there I meet Dave. Dave is my advisor. Dave told me the Inca cannot build regular scouts. I ask Dave why. Dave is silent.
De Banaan. My housekeeper also has something to say:

Thanx Baby!

The Game, Kr, The game.
I decide to build a setler in de banaan, as I spotted a 2-turn worker fac nearby to support the settlerfac at home. I found "de pruim" after 22 turns or so.
I also meet the Iro's as you could see. I give them masonry for their two workers. I know, i know, this IS not too right. but hey, PP got a setler.[cool]
Of course, I pop a setler too, it is next to Hiawatha and I take one of his coresites with "De perzik"!

Propain has *JUST* surrendered to me, he is being rushed by the Persians

Skyfish 27-04-2004 09:19

What ? [eek]

So you win this game ? [scratch]

Sounds like a scam :D

Aggie 27-04-2004 09:20

[shout] I WILL NOT CLAIM VICTORY FOR THE LADDER. DO NOT FEAR!

I cannot help it! Ask Dave!

Aggie 27-04-2004 09:30

I want to reuse this map, it took me blood sweat and tears to make. In a sense I'm happy it ended this early, so there were not to many spoilers :(

Kingreno 27-04-2004 09:45

PP and I just discussed how well balanced this map IS! So there is no problem whatsoever with the map. A rush can only NOT happen on an archimap, where you are alone on an island.[crazyeye]

Aggie, again, the map was great, Xerxes' mood was not.

Aggie 27-04-2004 09:47

Kingreno, thank you for the compliment. I know that rushes sometimes happen. Especially with Xerxes as neighbour.

ProPain 27-04-2004 10:21

Aggie, the map was GREAT! Just a pity Xerxes came after me straight after I met him. I spend 5 turns blocking his warriors with my worker/scout/warrior combo but sadly I was 1 turn short of more permanent protection. I think the RNG dealt us high agressiveness AI. Shit happens.

So maybe you can recycle the map for another game with slight modifications to start position so that it is not obvious?? Would be a waste to not use the map.

Aggie 27-04-2004 10:23

PP: I will certainly do that.

Beam 27-04-2004 10:30

[mouth]

That's fast. Pity the Persians decided to rush :(

I've gone through the biq with Aggie and I can assure it is a gem, I really hope there will be another 1vs1 on this one :)
