I thought old games worked fine? It only takes a turn or so for the corruption to recalculate and you won't even any incorrect calcs yet...

Aggie 30-12-2003 17:20

So it is not necesarry to start over then? We only played two turns...

Skyfish 30-12-2003 17:38

I would definitely start over !

Aggie 30-12-2003 18:14

I started over and sent the save to Stapel

Stapel 30-12-2003 21:20

Stapel doesn't use beta patches.......

He has over 5 years of experience working for software companies, and has learned that beta versions are for testing purposes and not for using.

This may sound a bit hatrsh, but using a beta patch is just.... not wise, me thinks :) !

But it fixes stuff that is currently broken - and thats got to be an improvement. I've been playing the beta and its very stable.

Skyfish 30-12-2003 23:03

Stapel you really should use this patch its excellent quality really !
The name BETA means they only released it for the hardcore gamers like us, every sw company has their own definition of what "beta" means so dont put too much into the name : the version 1.12 of C3C is *far superior* in playability and stability then C3C 1.00.
Really !

And it has been shown that loading a 1.00 game into 1.12 doesnt fix all the problems.

Stapel 01-01-2004 16:24

I was already convinced by Aggie ;)

Happy new year!
