thank you oh so much!

In 2470 BC I buy Mysticism expensively and get the wheel and about 50 Gold for it - at least.... France is ahead by Writing. Poly in 40 - maybe it works.

2030 BC - the French show up with two warriors from two directions - that smells like a sneaker! 90 and Wm buy me IW, but they will not tkae per turn - ouch! Still they walk off.

In 1525 BC, all civs are ahead Writing and HBR, MM is aorund a lot, too. A Celtic settler/archer pair comes very close, only 10 tiles off Washington.. kill them or not? They are too strong I decide, at least I now know there is a good res there

[aargh] and soon it ends:

Korea extorts me for 50 amd TM, then (same turn!!!) declares war (no idea why, maybe because they had many troops closeby and I had grabbed the Ivory....), next turn they by everyone except Egypt (they are at war) into it (China is dead by now), Celts ahve 7 GS in Peking which now run down my border guards, Egypt comes around extorting all my meager 17 Gold and my WM.......

oh well, someone has to be last.

I'm up to 1800bc or so. Will post maps tomorrow. Been extorted by Korea too for a few gold. Still expanding. The Iros look weak . I dont have any lux and they will be my first target to get the lux.. China next once I've sealed my back door. They have a lot of good land. I've got iron and horsies so that will be enough I hope. China must go before Riders are avaialbe or we're a goner. The Iros will be tough too since they are bound to get their GA when I attack.

2470 BC: hut deserted [aargh]

2390 BC: the Korean city near my border is called Shangai [:o] Korea is the big fish until now. Boston founded east of Washington, at distance 4.5.

2350 BC: Communication with Vikings sold to Korea for Alphabet and 40 gold. Writing is too expensive :( Egypt gets Alphabet and 48 gold for The Wheel and Ceremonial Burial (not known to Korea).

With a little tweaking I get writing from Korea for contacts with France, Egypt, 4gpt, 67 gold The Wheel and Ceremonial Burial.

Egypt gives Bronze Working and 48 gold for Writing. China gives Iron Working and 31 gold for Writing. Korea gives 107 gold Iron Working. France knows the Celts, but wants too much for it.

Iron and horses are to the northwest. Obvious next target to settle :)

2230 BC: New York abandonned and turned into a settler. This settler goes south, to the REAL core. Lux down to 20%.

2190 BC: Korean worker for 110 gold

2150 BC: Philadelphia founded to secure iron and horses [hammer]

2070 BC: I meet the Celts myself. Contact with Egypt and China gives me Mysticism and 8 gold. Odly I lead the tech race despite the fact that the huts didn't give me any techs.

1830 BC: Atlanta founded between cattles and wheat. Worker from China for 110 gold.

1725 BC: Korea and France give me in total 41 gold and world map for world map. China wants 3 gpt and 65 gold for Math (the min science run on it failed :( ).

1700 BC: Chicago founded north of Washington. Seattle founded in the plain, with the aim to grab the Incense and extra horses. Horses hooked to Philadelphia.

1550 BC: Before my eyes Korea razes Canton. China is as good as dead!

1525 BC: San Fransisco founded.

1450 BC: New York founded. China is reduced to one city. Nanking, closest to my empire.

1425 BC: Egypt wants 17 gold and tm. I give in.

1325 BC: A lot of Korean troops move to the remaining Chinese city. Overkill anyone? ;) I have a number of chariots there and hope for a redlined defender (me: vulture [fdevil])...

1300 BC: I get an alliance with Korea vs the Chinese. With that I get CoL for 135 gold. The Celts give tm, 24 gold and Map Making for wm and CoL.

IT: Korea razes Nanking and Philadelphia hasn't got cultural pressure problems anymore regarding the insence :D Another min science gambit fails: France starts TGL.[punch]

1275 BC: Houston founded. Korea, France and Egypt entered the Middle Ages :( I buy Lit from France for wm and 150 gold. Vikings give me match for wm, Lit, 1 gpt and 19 gold. Egypt gives me Poly for Lit, 7 gpt and 19 gold. Celts give Philo and HBR for Poly. Vikings give me Math for Poly and 3 gpt. Let's see if a min science of Rep works :(

1225 BC: Buffalo founded.

1150 BC: Korea declares war on France. [:o]

1075 BC: Celts and Korea join in the war vs France. [:o][:o]

1025 BC: St. Louis founded

1000 BC: I see a Celtish town near my borders grow to size two. So I declare war. The town goes back to size one and is razed [sad] I also raze the 2nd Celtish city near my borders. Now they have to go through France to get to me (while at war with them...)

975 BC: Scandinavia and France join their forces vs Korea. Early WW!!! [tank]

950 BC: Detroit founded

925 BC: All gambits failed [wallbash]. All AI is now in the Middle Ages.

900 BC: France gives me currency for a MA against Korea. I manage to raze Kaesong, which was defended by an archer.

850 BC: I meet Japan. And Toku doesn't know the Vikings, France and Celts :D

Alpha and Poly give me his WM and 175 gold [hammer].
The Celts make peace for Construction, 17 gold in exchange for contact with Japan.

Now Egypt has Republic and Monotheism over me. I suspect the same from Korea. The rest only has Republic over me.

Mm - I'm not optimisitc about this. The Celts and Egyptian are goobling up all the Wonders between them - and they are a long way away. Built a few swords and took a couple of Iro cities to secure a lux and a couple to trade.

The Chinese sold two workers to me early in the game [smokin]. And then the Koreans came and conquered.
