What we would like to have:

-Each one island which is big enough for one ring+ .
-In the centre a large island with 4 AIs
-Only coastal tiles between our own island and the AI island.
-The AI island must be big enough, to prevent a full settlement when we arrive at the island.
-Deity level. We both start with 2 settlers. We also want 2 scouts (or more?) that are near the start loc, but not on the start loc. This way we can be sure that the ring start on the home island is not based on dumb luck.
-Roaming Barb level
-Killer: Carthago, Stapel: France, both with the numi-merc.

to make the point clear about the starting island: eithe you place the starting pos so that this is the ideal space for the capital (i.e. ring center) and TELL US SO or we get sufficient scouts each that we can deduce a good position from exploration on turn one. This is to avoid one of us getting a better starting ring than the other simply by one moving to wrong way and one the right way with the worker....

oh and we agreed on the civs:

I will be Carthage
Stapel will be France but with the NuMerc instead of the Musketeer as the UU (i.e. we have the same UU!)

uhhmmm. yes? I am not 100% sure. If you can reasonably deduct it from the specs, it is fine!

Guys this was a hard one !
It had to be a Large map or else there was no room for 1st ring plus room left for you on the ai island...
Could not spend centuries on balance as it was entirely hand drawn almost so go ahead and complain :(

Skyfish, thank you for the map, but it is not what we had asked for.... we wanted starting islands, not continents!

I cna easily place two full rings on mine, maybe even a second core!

Sky, I hope you won't feel disappointed or insulted!

We would also like to have two settlers, one worker and one warrior on the start location (just as it was!), but the two scouts on other locations, so we can more or less see the entire island in turn one!

essentially, make a pangaea map with little land, then add two islands for us from scratch!
