View Full Version : New tournie idea: CDZ king of deity challenge

OK, I like to have one SP going next to my MP. SP is nce to fill gaps between waiting and also it has the added advantage of games finishing a bit faster timewise.

So I'd like a SP all random deity tournament. Games will be generated all random on deity level. Sole exception being mapsize and we'll play the games to a preset victory condition. Fastest finish wins, equal year will be decided by score.

Of course the winner will get an apriopriate title, and may call himself 'Zeus' of CDZ. That will show his elevated status as king of deity players.

So, any takers, any suggestions.

Hmmm...Why not ?
My only qualm would be about the victory condition as some of them require very long game (namely Conquest and 100K culture...).

OK we have not had a major response for this, hum, hum, but we will still play this the both of us for the moment, I generated an ALL RANDOM Deity level standard size start and we are both starting to play it !
To make this one quick an'easy for a first the victory to be reached is Diplomatic.
All conditions are On, No respawn, no civ related, preserve random seed, flips on.

Just to make sure I understand this correctly: you've turned civ-specific abilities OFF?

So no UU's and specific civ traits available in this game?

I'd like to ask everyone to write up a spoiler on the game so we can compare notes afterwards. If possible (when pc and HD space allow) with some nice and shiny pics of important moment. A spoiler thread has alrdy been opened.

I suggest this game runs untill november the 30th 2003.

You should change your Signature immediately ;)

I recommended this start to PP because we both started ALL RANDOM games and I played a few turns of that one and found it a good balance for a Deity random start, not too hard, not too easy...lets' hope it turns out well !
