[love]

Check out this post that I found while searching CFC for something...

It must be one of the first post of someone who would become the pillar of the CFC site.

Everything is in here: the directness, impatience, on-the-edge anger... :D

The first sentence is pure anthology.

It's probably not just fuk or fuc.

If he really typed out that word, it could have very well been 'fcu' or 'ufk'. :D

Try searching for "jsut" at CFC - Killer has over 50 matches and there are less than 500 on the forums. [lol]

Having said that, a few are mine too. [|)]

Ah well, I remember that I used to think that civil disorder in cities will automatically go away in time, when I played Civ1 for almost the first time. [rolleyes]

The shame!

Shame on you for using the search for such 'important' things [nono]. Soon, the CFC site will again be overrun by these 'killer' search queries, and the search will end up disabled again :(

Ok now that you've given me the idea here it is a few random first posts (at least from the Civ3 section of CFC I think...).
None remotely as funny as Killer's but hey, we're not all geniuses are we ? :D

The main divider are between guys posting advice and others posting questions, seems the "big mouths" are not always the ones we think ;)
[lol]

anarres : already deity level and giving advice...
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21469&perpage=20&display=&pagenumber=2

ProPain : also has IMPRESSIVE advice, discovering the power of the whip, oscillating war, pointy stick, ressource denial, very early war...
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11923

Erikk : again a Deity level player [eek]....but losing on huge maps :)
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=15700

Shabba : Also advising and not asking...
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17864

Skyfish : Definitely asking...
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32755

Kemal : Also asking a "stupid" question ;)
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26154

Aggie : not liking civ 3 that much...
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29692&perpage=20&display=&pagenumber=2

Jack M : with Kemal and Lt Killer M (and Chieftess, TF, Cracker, etc..) commenting an unbelievable event :
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32111

Wildfire is the only one (EDIT : AFTER KILLER) that has the balls (of course) to start a new thread as his first post :
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32404
dumbass, mine was a new thread, too :p
It seems it took 4 months for the shy Dr A to put his first post...and of course its about a Mod/Scenario :
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51028

The earliest I could find from Matrix was Feb2001 even though he joined in Oct2000 so maybe that was archived somewhere....or was he even more shy than Dr A :)

Sorry for the rest of you guys I did not have time to look for all of us [crazyeye]

Hey, I still agree with that remark!! SMAC is a better game than CIV3. Just imagine how hooked I was on THAT game [eek]

EDIT: My first post was in the Marla's map thread. I obviously played regent or below looking at my remark :) :

Wrong button, Jack: "This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts." Or did you mean your first post was harassing, fighting and rude? [lol]

quote:I disagree with the choice of scientific CIVs always being good for science. The bonus is small, and on higher difficulty levels you can not hope to keep up with science by building libraries and researching. I think that scientific CIVs are almost the worst of all...

The only way get level in science on the harder levels is to put money in to the treasury and buy them off other CIVs when the time is right, or to wage war and get them in return for peace.Ho hum. That was from my (first?) post. I guess I've improved since then, or maybe I can blame the change in science rates in the 1.21(?) Civ3 patch.

My first post was some remark about the pyramids being great and all, and I got there through a poll on the front page. If it wasn't for that poll, I'd probably never have registered.

I'm pretty sure my first post was starting a thread about War Weariness Details.

btw I like this part from anarres's first post "Culture is your lifeline. Culture is all."

Boy have times changed.

[Question] random map settings

I have played several games with random map settings. There were always all kinds of luxuries on the map, but on last game's map I was missing gems (and enough mountain/jungle tiles). Is this a bug?

Now (notice: NOW) that I re-read it, I actually meant that there were in fact many mountain/jungle tiles (=possible gem locations)...

My 1st post can be found here :
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=812472&postcount=155 (sorry, I don't know how to display the rest of the thread too)

I posted on the day I registered, and I was very excited to play the GOTM, and I was wondering why people played with overlapping cities. Something that I now consider a must in a majority of cases. :D Of course it was the beginning of the annoyance, and the 1st GOTM that I would play would be #19, because of language compatibility (the GOTM event had just started to use mods). I sued cracker for months on this issue before giving up. [groucho]

Btw, who didn't sue cracker? [rolleyes] [tongue]

I just noticed my first posts are missing!! [eek] [cry] They were made in the subforum "Civ3 - Suggestions & Ideas". ;)
