I post a lot of pictures in CFC. But here I don't know how to do it. I see the 'insert image' icon, but what then...Am I asked to add a hyperlink? How does it work?

You must upload a picture first!

I recently did it on my fileserver from my internet provider (using a ftp program)

Thanks. Anarres just gave me the same tip. I can't test it though: CFC upload is down...

That's right. Happens a lot... But I was able to upload a couple of pictures yesterday. As can be seen in my threads [:p]

so after I have told it (CFC) which file to upload (six times) and eventually get a message which says it has done it, but then go to the new (number 4)download directory and my file is not there - what do I do next?[cry]

prettyvacent, there is no need to use cfc for pics.

We have an upload feature here.

When posting a reply (not using 'quick reply', but the normal thing) you will see a link:

http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/anarres/2003414203431_postimage.jpg
7.92*KB

Click the paperclip and you can browse for the file on your machine. It will then upload it and put a link in ot it in your post.

You can also upload .zip's, .sav's and .txt files this way, and it will put an appropriate link in to the file also.

Like this:

Download Attachment: icon_paperclip.gif iraq.txt (http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/anarres/2003414203633_iraq.txt)
661*Bytes

P.S. The limit atm is 1Mb.

Great, thanks annares I'll try that again then. I did try earlier but i got that "this page is not available" page, and assumed that the facility was not set up on this site. Of course now that i get this far I realise that the earlier messages were about a month ago - in the pioneering days of this site!
