what to do?

obviously, it will be worth roading the forsts with dyes, but the town will need to grow quite a bit before I can use them. Good prod, and very good tax they will bring, even in despo, and 1 lux plus some sliding the lux slider will get me to size 6 no sweat. Also, india starts with CB, so a Temple is also an option. But I need growth!!!!!

roading and mining the grass is not an option under these circumstances. So I decide to use the worker as a lookout, and lookie, lookie, DrA was in a good mood........

Sadly, the grass straight left is not on the river. Also, moving there may make it difficult to found a low-corruption coastal town - if that is the coast to the left. I decide to stay in place. Research will (logically) be Pottery at max.

to the southeast, four more bonus grass show up, one on the river. Pottery will take 15 turns on 100% using a grass on the river, 12 using a forest. Slower growth from that but faster build (warrior in 4 instead of 10) makes me do so: fast exploration, fast research to Pottery, then I can (in ten turn) use the wheat where I will nor road and water to.

I *think* this calls for a 4/4.5 ring. Like this:

the northern ? depends on whether there's hills or mountians, actually, the dot is misplaced: it will be the southeastern square, as norhteastern looks like a mountain. The southern ? then falls into place ;)

I can get twocoastal cities in the south then, too, distanced 7, while 7 to the north means cities on mountains - maybe I have to push the coastal to 8 and have only one? We'll see......

corrected dotmap: I had built too tighly around the coastal city.

Haleluja! There's hills, not mountains in the east!
