View Full Version : Anarres vs Skyfish ***** SPOILER *****
This game is using the Sirian Tweak mod for this game, can be found here :
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads4/sirians-tweaks-ptw-121f.zip
Description of the Sirian Tweak mode :
* Double the value of Wealth.
* Double the value of Tax Collectors.
* Triple the value of Scientists.
* Reduce Harbors to 60 shield requirement.
* Change Amphibious Warfare to a required technology.
* Move SS Stasis Chamber from Synthetic Fibers to Robotics.
* Require uranium as well as aluminum to build the SS Stasis Chamber.
* Change the Great Wall, adding a free wall improvement in all cities on the same landmass.
* Change Shakespeare's Theater, adding the effect of allowing unlimited city size.
* Increase Longbow offense from 4 to 5 and shield cost from 40 to 50, and...
* Increase Musketman/Musketeer defense from 4 to 5, and...
* Increase Rifleman offense from 4 to 5 and defense from 6 to 7, and...
* Increase Guerilla offense and defense from 6 to 7 in both cases, and...
* Increase Infantry offense from 6 to 7, and...
* Increase Marines offense from 8 to 10 and defense from 6 to 7, and...
* Increase Paratroops offense from 6 to 7 and defense from 8 to 9.
As you can notice the mod's goal (amongst others) is to decrease the devastating power of Cavalry and also weaken Knights' power vs Muskets.
Level : Deity / no extra unit
Anarres : Player 1 /admin -> Korea (with lethal bombard of H'watcha!)
Skyfish : Player 2 -> Egypt
Map : Standard
Pangea, long thin shape with both of us at each end (or thereabouts)
Temperate, wet, 4 billion
Barbs : roaming
Civs : 6 random
Expansion is going quite well and I built a very early granny (-3200bc) thanks to my industrousness, good starting location and just-in-time forest chopping. The bug which makes teh chop come in one turn earlier almost killed my plan but thanks to the mod (lone scientist =3 beakers) I could time it all perfect (discovering Pottery and finish chopping!)...but it was real close [scary]
Now here is the first deal I made, ever seen anything like that ?
I surely never have...

You're joking about never having seen anything like that, aren't you ? [confused]
A level 1 tech I did not research for a worker worth 120g ?
No, I am not joking [blush]
Thats a kind of deal I always try with, I think a worker is more wortht then a tech in the start. Usually have to throw in some gold though to make the deal, I guess Iroquois doesnt have any other contact here?
Must be and I must be the only industrous civ in the whole world...
Still in full expansion mode of course, however I had difficult choices regarding city placement :
- I have loads of mountains in the East where I can't establish...
- I had to choose for a very close ring at 3/3.5 or else there is no room for a second ring [eek]
- I want a max number of cities to be on coast for the 2nd ring ( I will go for a 2nd ring at 7/7.5). Remember that Harbors are only 60 shields in this mod.
This will a tight packed core and the plan is to then conquer my south neigbours, Iros and Greece [wallbash] to hopefully establish a second core down there.
I was very torn about using War Chariots and getting an early GA or not...when I discovered that the evil map maker, willingly or not ;), put a band of jungle around me so that I can't reach my opponent with the WC :([mad]

Its -1830bc by the way...
Not too long ago an amazing trading opportunity came up, when Greece discovered Writing : they sold my contacts with all of the AIs except 2 ! I only knew the Iros and Greeks before that. This took the costs of techs down substantially ! Since I am doing a min science run on Poly I had tons of cash (producing 20 to 25gpt atm) : I could buy Writing from the Greece for all my treasury and deal with the 2 contacts that were still unknown to most AIs. I took all their techs (except HBR which I dont want) and all their money hopefully taking some deals out of anarres :D I also sold his contact everywhere so he can not deal it around.
Selling writing to everyone increases the chance of them researching different techs after writing such as Philo, Map Making and CoL so I can make the best usage of discovering Poly. Once I got a nice treasury I might start researching Poly as fast as possible in order to make sure I get it at mono.
Some of the AIs are doing pretty good and that Writing deal allowed me to replenish my treasury so I bought embassies with the commercial civs and Korea (anarres): he is building a 4 turn settler factory in his capital going from size 5 to 7. I am happy with a 5 turns one from 3 to 5 ;)
I am happy with the fast tech pace and I intend to research Monarchy at max after my min run on Poly ends in aro. 15 turns in order to make use of my religious trait. Once in Monarchy I can expand quicker and research Republic faster as well :D
For the moment I am outscoring anarres substantially but this dont mean a thing, I maybe have more cities than him thats all...
We are now in 1400bc and here's my little shitty empire ;):

I have 2 settlers on the move (one under a worker towards the Incence in NorthWest and one under a spear towards the coast in the East) and another due next turn. I intend to build 3 or 4 more cities after that before going on the offensive. I have been expanding non-stop, taking settlers out of size 3 cites and whipping Temples, I have quite a few barracks up as well.
The tech pace is blistering we will probably all be in Republic before 1000bc, I have deliberately not traded during my min science run on Poly (due next turn) to slow it a bit down but to no avail. The problems is that the AIs might have Pikes by the time I am ready to attack them [crazyeye]
Anarres made some great deals on Map Making I think, all AIs are level from what I can see but I believe Construction, Currency and Literature should be around the corner (all AIs are up Math, Philo, CoL, HBR and MapMaking on me for a long time). The gamble should pay off but theres not a lot of money around :(
I might just hold off on trading Poly to try and get some important techs like Currency or Construction. I still intend to go for Monarchy at max after this and trade it for Republic at one point.
Good news is that my downstairs neighbor got the Pyramids but my tactic is to delay my GA so I will not attack with Chariots : thanks to that patch of Jungle between me and every one [aargh] [mad] Too bad the Pyramids will trigger though... Anarres will have a GA triggered by the H'wacha so substantially later : what do you guys think I should do ?
While exploring I got teleported by the Indians to this crazy isthmus :

anarres's warrior immediately fortified so I suspect he is past that ishtmus which makes the map quite crazy if thats the only land way between us [crazyeye]
Of course I fortified too to prevent further exploring on his part ;)
Its been status quo like this for ages [lol]
Ok and now here is a special screenie for my mate Kemal (:

Approval is so good only because I got 3 luxes hooked for a long time, I have been whipping like mad and run 0% lux for ages, I will have a fourth lux hooked in a few turns and I also have a 5th one within reasonable range :D
Teleporting rules! [coool]

North and South America also are connected like that. Are you certain that this is the only connection. Maybe, maybe not [mischief].
An early GA should be very helpful for you, especially when you can outpace anarres in the tech race and city improvement. That was exactly the way Stapel managed to leave me in the dust.
quote:Are you certain that this is the only connection. Maybe, maybe not .
[aargh] I wish those damned Map Makers would shut up some time [shout] [mad]
Course I am not sure but I love my fortifed warrior where he is anyway :D
quote:That was exactly the way Stapel managed to leave me in the dust.
Hmm...[scratch]...I dont believe anyone has ever left anarres "in the dust"...but maybe I can take my chances that the game would be over by Metallurgy and go for an early boost..[dunno]
I would definitely be in Republic by the time I would get the Pyramids and GA anyway...
I know that I'm not in the same league as anarres. But this was an example on how powerful an early GA can be. The ishtmus may prevent an early finish though...

Sky, there's one thing anarres cannot stand: disruption! if you can somehow, somewhen, get a few cheap units to him and start pillaging that will make him nuts..... and he may make mistakes..... ;)
Almost 100 points ahead already, very nice going sky, even though as you say score doesn't say everything, and actually nothing about the actual productivity of an empire. For example, an actual overview of the power and score screen (F8) tells a lot more than the scores as they stand at a given point... (Ok, I know what you think, always asking for more info that Kemal-fellow eh? ;), demographs screens are a nice and welcome addition though :)).
One other thing, about your tech-research plan, are you sure about the monarchy-research? Since you're only 5th in gnp, and the AI prefers researching monarchy over the Republic, isn't it also a possibility to just research the Republic by yourself instead of relying to trade for it with monarchy? It looks like there could be realistic chance that you won't make it to monarchy first, and since you say the tech-pace is blistering, missing out as the only person on the Republic would leave you in lots of problems.
And finally, about leaving anarres "in the dust", it *is* possible you know...[mwaha]
F8 ? [eek]
Now that really does not say anything at this early stage I am afraid but lets see what you can conclude from this :

Interesting ? [dunno]
Finally I was being very literal with "leaving in the dust" : you beat anarres because you outplayed him on a strategy level, not "" outproduced him" or "outresearched him"
so much that he lost, thats what I meant ;)
Wow that's fast, and yes interesting indeed, since it does say more about your score lead, as this screen shows an actual comparison in both of your scores in the current game year, not a score taking into account on how you both compared in earlier years too.
So with this screen you can see at the moment he isn't behind in score as much as the actual current in-game scores suggest he is, even though you still lead by quite a margin. It could have been different, for example you're actually outscoring Carthage atm, even though in the in-game score they're almost 120 points ahead of you.
But ok, I agree, maybe that's not very interesting to everyone.. ;)
I have to agree wit you Kemal, I think the f8/actual score tells a lot more about development than the score, although in the early stage of the game it still can be quite deceiving. If you run a settler factory on 'low' pop, you 'll have substantially less population but maybe expanding quicker. This will not always show in actual score however because land area depends on how you place these cities. So you might end up with more cities and less pop and thus score lower than your opponent with less cities, but more pop and a more dense build.
We are now on turn 80 or so and the end of my "peaceful" expansion phase.
Survived the massive uprisings with a few casualties but no major money loss (thanks to those mountains) which came real early, tech pace is blistering.

Could it be enough to make life difficult to the "master" anarres ? He only has 7 cities at the moment;)
Difference in score is getting bigger again...

My Poly gamble paid off real nice of course netting me all known techs ( I deliberately did not acquire HBR), but nobody had Literature yet I set max research on it and it worked !
It allowed me to make a twofer on Currency and Construction and keep my treasury (almost) intact.
If I had HBR I would be in Middle Age but since I am not Scientific I dont mind, I want to perform upgrades and use combined arms.
I also traded my World Map at that point to keep my money for a max run on Republic. As you can see its costing tons per turn but I will get there fast...hopefully before anarres :)
Now building up forces to take over the Pyramids, just a bit South from me already 3 slave workers building a road South, I have ROP with Greece who is at war with Iros
by the way.
I also farmed my barbs and gain loads of money from them :D
anarres looks to be way behind [eek]. What a beautiful core Sky :D
Looks like a good game. Haven't read Anarres' spoiler yet, but he does seem to be a bit closer with his pink neighbour. Maybe that gave him some trouble [???] Very well done on the tech tree and trading [goodjob]. On these higher levels I don't have many problems myself keeping up in tech early, but the monarchy and republic techs are hard to acquire since they're very expensive, especially when needing to buy them from the AI.
That map sure seems choked :). Will be very hard to pressurize through land war I think, could be very well laid out for a combined land and naval war in the late game.
Plux you are totally right the map is quite special and it seems an early war is not really possible between us so my "beautiful" core (thanks Aggie ;))
will not be of any help in the Industrial or Modern Ages :(
We are in 800bc now. I am in the Middle Age and in Republic since a few turns (Religious rules :))
I am already at war with the Iros because Greece was at war vs them and I could get 180g + HBR for joining them in their war :D Could not refuse such a great offer.
To top it off Iros have only sent settler pairs my way up to now.
I have a stack of 6 swords already on their way down and they will be joined by Horsemen later...2 turns ago the Greeks signed Peace so I can stop this war at anytime now.
Made a tactical mistake by counting on upgrading my War Chariots to Horses [wallbash]
No great problem though just costing time.

Skyfish, do you have an idea already where you are going to build your Forbidden Palace? And hence how large you want your empire to be?
We are now at turn 104 (470bc) and a huge military campaign is on the way to capture the Pyramids.
In order to provide better logistics support a sizeable slave force has been put together in order to road the jungle separating me from the AIs : Operation Jungle Highway.
This operation is now finished and horsemen are currently galloping down towards Salamanca. Before I declared war, the AIs had sent loads of settler pairs to found cities in my northern tundra as they certainly hold special yet unknown resources but also because most AIs are struggling for space on this thin long pangea.
I was thus able to attack those settlers and captured literally dozens of slave workers.
I currently have 25 of them ! Thats including of course the many I bought since the start of the game, I never had this many so early in a game though.
Here is a look at Operation Jungle Highway terminated and the forces maneuvering towards Salamanca, already Cattauragus has been destroyed. I intend to raze all cities except Salamanca as the mid term plan is to conquer Greece and establish my FP core on their lands.
You can see the never ending supply of settler pairs thrown my way : here is a carthaginian one under a NuMerc and an Iro one under a spear [crazyeye]
I can also afford to leave slaves on my Jungle Highway so that an Indian or Greek passing by does not block my logisitics line.
Notice I also have a slave on the dyes in the Jungle : it will build a colony next turn.
More on that later...
http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Skyfish/200392891721_anar-JungleHighway.jpg
Second amazing thing about this game is the Luxury situation !
I sold my (at the time) only Iron (the other one is in my core but not connected)and Ivory to the Greeks for Monotheism and Wines...Good deal:)
I also did a straight swap of Ivory for Furs from the Indians, and thanks to this I have now in 470bc all 8 luxes with 6 of them native [eek] Also a first for me ever !
Here is a view of my capital to show you the luxes, all settlers are sent down South to build the second core.
http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Skyfish/200392892322_anar-Luxes.jpg
The AIs are up Engineering, Invention and Theology on me. I am making around 60gpt at no science because... guess what ? the Indians jsut finished the Great Library in Delhi, a stone's throw away from my core :D
http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Skyfish/200392893843_anar-GreatLib.jpg
I still have to devise a plan on how am I going to get Chivalry though (its not been discovered). Due to the speciifics of the mod, Knights are almost outdated by Muskets so very rapid action will be needed : the number one goal is to invade Greece (after having taken care of the Iros of course) and I intend to do that with Knights, I am already building up money for a mass upgrade. I might even rush Leo's if I get a leader instead of the FP ( as the lands for the FP are not conquered yet)
I am following my usual strategy of building COurthouses in my second ring before going on to Marketplaces and Harbors. By building it first you get the max value for it as you get the production and income boost much longer : I dont need Libraries for a long time (thx to GLib) and I just plainly hate building Marketplaces without Courthouses...
I am at war with China as Greece offered me a "too good to refuse" deal to ally with them against this super power : I also hope they are building a huge army which will make anarres' life more difficult [evil]
I am surprised anarres is not at war with France yet, he only is fighting a phoney war vs Carthage who is the whipping boy of the moment.
http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Skyfish/200392894848_anar-diplo.jpg
Finally here is a look at my present forces and comparison with anarres and the other AIs :
http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Skyfish/200392894944_anar-470bcF3.jpg
Another important point worth noticing is that my 3 AI neighbours : Greece, Iroquois, and India
do NOT have Iron.
Well Greeks have an Iron hill but have failed to connect it yet [eek]
Looks like anarres is going for a diplo victory :D
Lt. Killer M

jeez, you lucky bastard.
I ought to think again about playing you again...
Actually there is one huge mistake I made in the game : I build War Chariots with the intention of upgrading them to Horsemen [blush] [blush2]
After building 7 of them I realized I could not upgrade them :( and since I do not want to trigger my GA yet I just had to park them as anti-flip garrisons [cry]
My excuse is that I had not played Egypt since Vanilla Civ probably a year ago... [crazyeye]
[lol]
[lol]. So this is your last game as Egypt?
OMG, talking about ICS! [eek]

Can't you just do a quick intermediate mod to this game, giving those excess workers 'carrying capacities', to allow them to take those WC's on their back and carry them across the jungle?? [mischief]

No Matrix, in this case its IRCP, Infinite Ring City Placement :D
Shit Plux I thought you had read the spoiler real well : there is a road across the Jungle so the WC could have crossed it by now ;)
Hence the "Jungle Highway" name... or was it a joke that I dont get ? :(
Or I was not very clear again ? [crazyeye]

[:o)] ...until a year from now, yes [joker]
Looking at this I'm glad RCP is dealt with in Conquests. [rolleyes]
Matrix have you even read any of anarres' spoiler before ? Check the Gothmog one for example...[groucho]
I am obliged to use RCP as he is using it as well : its too powerful to not make use of it [sad]
In my game vs Dr A I dont use it and if Eldakkar agrees we should not use it in our 3 player game as well...
[shout]
NEWS FROM THE FRONT
[shout]
The campaign is progressing according to plan, the Pyramids are now captured and aour army is resting and healing before moving on to the rest of the Iro lands.
There is very limited counter from the Iro who are gassed after a long war vs Greece and lack of Iron.
Pharsalos in northern Greece has completed Leo's so it will be the next objective after Iroland.
The Greece are quite powerful though they will need stacks of Knights to take over :(
My saviour is that they are sending tons of troops towards the Chinese and that I will be able to seal off my part of the Pangea at the Indian border and trap all those units out, preventing them from coming back to defend their homeland when it gets attacked :D
I will need Chivalry though...Right now only China has it so no deal possible yet, the AIs have no cash to finance my upgrades. Still a few more turns needed to take of the Iros anyway.
But I ,ust be quick the Muskets in this game make Knights efficient for only a very small time : I hope that anarres has forgotten about that, he keeps forgetting the Tweak [lol]
He has not attacked anyone yet, it starting to worry me, its not the anarres I know, what is he concocting [scratch] ?
Here's a look :
http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Skyfish/200310321570_anar-battleSalamanca.jpg
After the capture of Salamanca and its Pyramids, it was just "mopping up time" to finish the Iros with horses. I got many Elites and elite victories but still not what I really was looking for ...[devil]
I let the Iros one jungle city as my culture is dominant and also because they had just bough or learned Chivalry, precisely the tech I was after to take care of those nasty Hoplites.
In a great twist, Pharsalos, a core 1st ring greek city completed Leo's Workshop during the Iro war. That city was just a stone's throw away from Grand River, my new garrison city (had rushed a rax there for troop healing).
I upgraded 5 badly wounded vet horses into full hp vet Knights for 400g and then attacked Pharsalos after declaring honourably on the Greeks. Our Iron deal had ended.
Captured Pharsalos defended by 3 hoplites [eek], immediately upgraded 12 more horses and my 7 War Chariots (at 50g a piece reall value for money) and proceeded to invade Greece. With such a force I could divide my SoD and capture multiple cities per turn, I left the cities empty to avoid losing forces to flips and starved them,, Greek culture was pretty good.
The Greek cities were well defended but remember that their complete offensive force had been sent to India or China through a land neck I now controlled so they were "sort of gassed" when I attacked them as they had no counter at all. Only a few longbows did some damage (they have attack of 5 in this Tweak mode!).
It was all a race against time and I stretched my forces a lot ot reach out and take cities out before Muskets (and their 5 defence) came on the scene... Either the greeks had no Salpeter or they could not connect it like their Iron.
Not having Gunpowder tech i could not see that, my research has been shut off since I discovered Republic and I was making 125gpt (with no FP).
After upgrading my forces I started researching Printing Press first slowly as it usually is a good min science gamble, however I realized anarres could have the same idea so I went full on research (at min deficit) very soon.
Finally after countless Elite wins I got the result long expected. Can you see my Leader on teh pic below ? It's in the city building the FP.
The Forbidden Palace will be built in a new city which is equidistant to most Iro and Greek cities and soon this core will be growing very fast with free granaries and tens of workers irrigating all the tiles the AIs mined.
I first intended to raze Pharsalos that would have given me a better placement but of course that plan had to change because of Leos...
http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Skyfish/2003101172953_Anar-ExGreece.jpg
One amazing thing about the Sirian Tweak mod is that once I captured the big greek cities I starved them and instead of using entertainers I put Scientist in them, because they produce 3 beakers they considerably increased my science output reducing my discovery of Printing press from 5 turns to 3 turns ![eek] Wow ! I hope anarres does not discover this trick for a while, it will allow for real MM once cites get to size 12 [lol]
So now its rebuild mode for the second core. In the first core the 10 2nd ring cities almost all completed their Courthouses giving me a huge gpt and prod boost, now its on to Harbours and Marketplaces : I still do not need Libs but that will come soon enough.
http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Skyfish/200310118234_70bc-FirstCore.jpg

http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Skyfish/2003101174032_anar-F11-90BCpreFP.jpg
On the reearch front things have slowed down a bit (good) but still the AIs are doing quite well : France has raced to build Cop's and I have just seen a Chinese caravel !
I am delaying Education as the Indians have TGLib and I intend to capture it in 10 turns or so in order to come back to level.
anarres is persisting in his peaceful mode and his neighbours are getting very powerful, I am a bit worried as its not his usual play style, does he have a wicked plan ? [confused]
I still lack ideas for the "big plan" on how to take him out, even though "pulling a Kemal on him" is becoming increasingly interesting...[crazyeye]
:D
Here is more information about the current situation (50bc).
Images speak greater than words.
The Greeks demise was expensive (lost around 16 knights) but quick [evil]
I can not totally destroy the Greeks yet as I have an Alliance with Carthage against them and I don't want to shoot my immaculate reputation :D
The Indians are up next and I am thinking about my capture of the Great Library in order to time it for the max profit [devil]
I have no visibility past Gunpowder and Education of course, I am one turn away from Printing Press and hoping big time anarres will not get it next turn as he is player 1 [scared2]

little addition (bonus track so to say) I would try and annoy anarres by bribing Joan, it might just be enough to keep him busy and prevent him from taking her and Mao out instead of waiting untill he is ready to do so. That way you might be able to get to mao first. And I'm convinced that the game is won if you get Mao before him.
You are doing a great job Sky [goodjob]. I also don't know what anarres is thinking. Looks to me that you are quite save there in your part of the world. I agree with PP: get those two chokes asap.
Thanks a lot guys ! :D
Just FYI :
- there is a no MA rule in this game (which is too bad since I believe I could have bribed China and France vs anarres a long time ago).
- The Sirian Tweak significantly raises the difficulty level of the game because it makes all Defence units of the Middle Age much stronger : this in order to prevent the human from running over the AIs with Cavalry and limit the timespan of Knights.
Defence 5 muskets = almost riflemen = glue factory against Cavs.
The only reason I could conquer so fast is that neither Greeks nor Iros had Iron hooked up, or any musket, when I wiped them : that was *the* time window for attack basically (late horses/early knights) and anarres missed it that is why he has not advanced as far as me.
Also the French built the Great Wall which finally is a valuable wonder...
This is still going smoothly ( I want to say that I have all the luck in this game which compensates for the Gothmog game which is turning out to be an absolute disaster where I am very unlucky...)
According to plan, I am invading the weak Indians with the ultimate goal of capturing the Great Library in Delhi : I purposely stopped research after getting Printing press 13 turns ago to build up cash and rush buildings everywhere.
Now its a matter of waiting the longest possible to get the max number of techs from it.
Next turn I will investigate France and China to assess which techs they both own : I want them to have Metallurgy and then I will go max science on Mil Trad to be the first one with it [devil]
In an MSM conversation, anarres told me I discovered Printing Press just one turn before him [eek] He was fuming as I bet he went max on it all the time just like me (I started on lone scientist but realized he would go for it, and changed :) )
He was real mad and insults were flying low and fast, I enjoyed it very much!
I think he banked a lot on getting PP at monopoly and I traded it to all the AIs of course... [lol]
I traded Printing Press for gpt and made some lux deals with France and China, as I can not get Education and any techs beyond it and the price for Chemistry was too steep : I am sure I will get it from the Great Library !
Here is the situation in India, Bombay has Pikes but Delhi not, I might not eliminate the Indians yet... they have a city (Jaipur) which I can not spot on the map [wallbash].
I might just capture Delhi for one turn get the techs and then secure that isthmus where my forces are parked now.

Finally my alliance with Carth finished as I could not destroy the Greeks before because of the Alliance bug [mad] so now I am building my second core very quickly,
starting first with Temple, then Market then Lib with some harbours and rax where needed.

The situation in Korea has not changed, he is allied with France against China probably hoping they will both weaken each other to then march over France with his deadly H'watcha (at least thats how I would do it ;) )
I now have a plan of action to destroy this weak Asian ugly empire...but I will outlay later if you guys are interested.
Finally here is an interesting shot : with Markets everywhere in my core and all 8 luxes for ages (all native) and despite non stop war since 1000BC in Republic and 0% lux I have 100% happiness ! I have rarely had this situation before I must say.
Also it allows me to easily reach WLTK days in all my other cities reducing seriously my corruption.
The figure is still high in the below shot but you have to consider I have 50 cities !
and because of RCP a lot are 100% corrupt.

Wow, very nice going....
before we start our round 2 I will have to study this thoroughly....
Naturally we are interested in your plans regarding the destruction of the evil Asian empire. But do you mean China or Korea [:p].
Things are looking very good indeed [thumbsup]
Quick bulletin point !
Great Library captured in Delhi netting the following techs :
Music Theory
Education
Banking
Astronomy
Navigation
Physics
I miss Metallurgy [aargh] This was not the plan !
I can discover it in 4 turns with no deficit but still....
The Chinese have Metallurgy and the French Magnetism but a 2fer1 is too expensive...

Sky, nice win - but we would have liked a few screenshots of your landing site!
What can I say?
Sky, you rock http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/gothmog/2003828193310_guitar.gif.
Oh no I dont, I just got lucky... [blush]
Lastpix : I had many more galleons coming but I could not wait and went for it !
When anarres got the turn, he opened it and conceded: all his force were in france and did not have mil trad...

[eek]
remind me to never ever leave cities empty in games vs you.
meh. Never leave cities empty? Try "remind me never to leave my cities with less than 10 units in each". Yeah, that's a start...
