Turn 19:
Meet the Russians (annoyed) and trade The Wheel and Ceremonial Burial
for Pottery and Bronze Working and 1 gold. It looks like I am on a
remote part in the northwest of the map. I counted 4 cows, 3 game, 2
wheat and some fish within reach so far: not bad! Also their are 4
lux of which 2 are in reach, the other 2 are for the AI I think...

Well, at least you will have a good defensive base...

The Koreans block the passage west (already for 10 turns now) and
there is Russian territory to the south. They both wont trade with me
so I am fucked at the moment. Dunno why the Koreans block the passage
I do not get the feeling Korea and Russia are at war... The Russians
seem to live in the jungles. :)

turn 23: lost my 2nd warrior on a barb :(
turn 25: met Korea (polite), trade pottery for 43 gold
turn 26: research mysticism back cant get masony form russia or alphabet from korea
from them, so I settle for warrior code and 22 gold... (which they both had)
turn 35: lost my #???? warrior to barbs [mad]
turn 45: suddenly I have two more contacts. I manage to buy techs and sell contacts
with the Russians and end with more money, marsony, alphabet, writing and horseback
riding :) I am Lucky I got those contacts because the Koreans are still blocking
the passage! Bought embassy in korea.
turn 46: sold ROP for 22 gold to the Koreans.

map turn 47: its a farmers gambit all the way, only the Russians
have more cities! ;)

Hey, someone tell those Koreans that blocking that isthmus is a RBCiv exploit!

The odds changed dramatically yesterday. I was afraid to get stuck in
isolation for a while and fall back in tech but now I am ahead in
tech and have an excellent position for conquering to the south and
lock up the bottleneck! (After filling up the lands first.) I expect
the Russian and Korean expansion towards me to be slow as there are
jungles and desert between them and the plains south of me. (I will
have a 7th city in 3 turns.) Also, only the Russians have more cities
than me while 4 of 5 other ai's only have 5 cities! I am researching
Map Making now, due in 34 turns. I am realy anxious to see what the
world map looks like!

turn 63:
Bought the WM two turns ago and it seems Yndy is still quite small.
Bought a embassy and ROP with Russia as they were annoyed and walking
in my lands. Their capitol was building an archer...

turn 103:

I declared war on Russia and took 1 city. I have 5 horses, about 18 swords and more horses underway and am strong compared to them so I expect this will be a walk-over. My hopes are on a leader for the FP.

pics will follow.

turn 108:

The war against Russia is going very war with low losses and steady
advance. Within twenty turns I will be able to get the entire sub-
continent and have a healty empire (with a FP).

Turn 130:

This game is not going very well atm. I stumbled upon large forces from the Russians in those
jungles. I forgot they were at war with some civ in the east. Their troops turned around and
I had to kill them first. The good news is that I got a leader some turns ago but I still dont
have Moscow yet.

Yndy is doing extremely well and has taken almost all of France! [eek] I dont know how he
managed to do it but I am sure you can read it in his spoiler.

I dont know yet what to do...

Turn 150

I think Yndy is just killing time with killing
every AI that is near his border. Once he has
cavs I expect him to sail over and kill me off...
I am way behind in tech (not sure how much) and
unable to attack my next neighbour because of the
dense jungles and inability off the Koreans to
clear them. I have a strong military but large
shoreline. Yndy has the Great Lighthouse and
Leo's. He said he only got one leader but must
have the FP too as he outscores me every on point
(I have a very good located FP and big empire).

Dunno were it went wrong in this game but the fact
that there were so much jungles between me and the
Russians slowed me down. I also ran into Russian
troops (returning from another war) when I started
my attack. Another point is the fact that Yndy has
good access from his peninsula into AI-land while
I dont. He did a good thing killing the Germans early
but the reason for that was the fact that they build
the Great Lib. (And that they were the to-be-taken-over-AI.)
So that was a give-away... After that he destroyed
the French, capturing a bunch of other wonders. I
could only dream of doing that as I would have to walk
100 tiles of Russian and Korean jungles...

Turn 165

The damn game will be over soon thank god! Yndy is going through the
Korean cities at top speed. I moved in just to get a fight.
Unfortunally I had to move everything in range of Yndy's canons and
probably a stack of cavs too...

I wonder if the Russian stack that surprised you from the East at turn 130, was originally headed for my lands following the declaration at turn 80.

Nice game Erikk, I understood you got stuck in the jungle but I still don't understand why you slowed your tech pace. Like I wrote you in the mail I was a little worried of a second stack of Samurai even if I could have faced them too eventually.

You still missed my true stack of cannons further south, I'll add some pics in the open thread when I get home.

Edit: Read the open thread Meli!
