After way too many years in the crazy den called Museum für Naturkunde Berlin I am now starting my own company. Palaeo3D provides 3D scanning, 3D file editing, 3D printing readying and printing, and 3D visualization services, with a focus on natural history and archaeology related specimens, research and exhibition.
Furthermore, I offer workshops and one-on-one teaching on 3D data capture via photogrammetry, 3D file editing for research, outreach, and education, as well as we consulting on 3D related research grant writing.

well, there we go! :)

So far I have one really fun project (digitally repairing a damaged huge neck vertebra of a huge dinosaur), a fun project made difficult by someone else's incompetence (digitally articulating a fin whale from bad pre-existing scans) and a nibble for a huge project in 2018 (scanning models of agricultural tools).
We'll see what the future brings (stares heroically into Outer Space)

Sounds pretty cool.

Dinosaurs and 3D. Two cool things!

Good luck with that big project! I’ve recently turned freelancer in IT, but I’m not motivated enough to start a company for real. So hope you’ll find all the resources to succeed. And find a dinosaur in outer space. In 3D. ;)

aaaaand CDZ needs a new smiley! (which I now should design): a T. rex!

just got confirmation for a big contract to work on ANOTHER T. rex, this one even better than Tristan (that landed in the Berlin Museum).

Congrats, Lt. Killer M.! [yeah]
And good luck with the business!

Here's my gift for your grand opening. It's a bit larger than normal smileys, but then again, dinosaurs are big...

But it's neither animated or 3d...
