About this game called Hattrick...

Apparently, there's something called "the CDZ cup". Once this was so succesful that Hattrick decided to come up with numerous cups to prevent teams from playing in it. What's up with that? I tried to get kicked out of this cup, but it's too hard. Halp.

They have cut the cup in the USA by two levels recently, IIRC, three seasons ago. I'm usually out by round 3 or maximum 4 whereas previously, it was possible to get to round 5 or 6.

I have also noticed that if you win the serious competition starts a lot earlier in the cup.
But if you loose you can pay a few rounds of looser cup(s).

That Apollo or whatever cup has same income as regular national friendlies and same experience. I usually lose right away so I can get more experience from international friendlies.

I tried to fight there but after I win once, I usually get to some Division II team again anyhow in the following round.

But, IMO, I have accumulated some cash and I'm in position to spend it. Not next season but maybe a season after that when my current winger training starts paying off. Should be enough to propel me to Division II with some luck. I then would probably go bankrupt and quit for good. I think I would start gradually improving the team next season to hunt for bargains and pump up loyalty. One or two utopian playmakers and magical defenders cannot be that expensive. The problem with bargains is that I don't have enough time to spend on the market. It needs too much effort.

I think, experience is the same as in international friendlies, but I might be wrong (rules don't cover t exactly IMO)

About the finances:
My last match in one of the loser cups had 17K visitors, never had half of that in an international friendly.

(2nd team had 9K visitors in the loser-loser-cup, which is still more than an international friendly)

For me, the Apollo cup had 11K spectators and it was an away match. So, I got $18.4K out of it. Which is complete bs as I get progressively 40K/w from sponsors just by being in Division IV. Also, some international friendlies can give more money, depends on team. I get decent pay from playing with Shabba, for example. I'm not sure about experience, but I prefer to field training squad as this nets more income in the long run IMO. Winning a match in that stupid cup requires primary squad.

I had 4 away matches in the primary cup which I won and I lost 5th which was my only home match. I then had secondary cup as an away match. So, I'm not sure what is going on there. It seems, that the only way to get decent income from the cup is to actually demote yourself to Division V and try to finish there as number 2 or 3. I checked last time whether this brings me more money but it seems that it is not that advantageous as now, I'm making same money or slightly more than I had in Div 5. And I can still keep training what I want to train. So, basically, there is no point in the cup unless the team really is overqualified for your actual division.

Also, Germany or any other major football country has way more options. US/Canada are just blemishes on the map. 75% or Div 6 are bots and bots. We even had a bot last season in Div 4.

With respect to training: You are right there. Training winger, it is a little easier to get training and play in the cup. But this week might be a problem there.

I like the challenge of the new cups, but I will not sacrifice too much for it.

It was not an easy game but Barbiers made it! And the CDZ cup goes to .... CANADA!!! And not a single goal scored against the mighty barbiers during the whole cup. This is quite a record IIRC as it never happened before.

At least they don't spam your inbox with some ads and email only when its actually needed or not needed. I do try to login at least once a week. Can do it from the phone waiting for a bus, no big deal.

I do try to log in once a week, but I had other things on my mind. I never tried the new app, but the old app was worthless since you couldn't actually do anything with it. I found that logging in once a week isn't enough to buy players. Not that I could sell players for a profit anyway, so I don't really miss that.

I don't particularly care about trading as it requires too much time. But you can train normally without much obstructions and switch setup between league and friendlies. I do use web page, no app. It works well on my Galaxy s5 in chrome.

We'll probably have 6 or 8 teams, I guess, so we either need 5 or 7 weeks for round-robin...

I won another game in that Enterprise cup for some reason. Very unexpected. I'm in round 6 of 10 and my next match is against number 2 in division II. I should lose but I should have lost 2 matches ago as my recent two wins in that cup were clearly against the odds. Let's see what happens when the odds of me winning are at about 5% and draw is at around 8%.
