Today I ordered a frame, which will be built in my bathroom next saturday. I need to buy the urinoir itself somewhere next 4 or 5 weeks.

I am on some sort of waiting list now. The urinoir will be available from september.
At this moment a urinoir frame already is installed in my bathroom (since last saturday actually). This afternoon a start will be made with walls and tiles and such. All will be done by the same man that constructed the new bathroom of Willem & Maxima.....

Well, I did not complain. Before I knew what the price would be, I was affraid it might get out of hand, so I decided not to pay more than 1000 euro's on the urinoir. Since it is 500...... I read something about it on 'teletekst'. It was something about a corporate head office (Virgin iirc) that had them installed but decided to take em out after lot of complaints from customer [lol]
Yes, there was a discussion after it was being removed from JFK airport. Virgin atlantic placed them but...a part of the Americans was shocked. There were demonstrations and a woman claimed that now all men would think that they could do that with every woman. They also interviewed the woman that designed them :D
This can be bad news for the delivery date Bas. Now the will probably get very popular and less exclusive!!

While the designer defends the urinals as sensual art, a complaint led a McDonald's outlet in The Netherlands to remove them in 2006. The complainant was an American who saw her work in a magazine, not in real life, said van Schijndel.
So no one who actually visits that McD is offended but some american sees a picture and the thing has to go. This really offends me.

very much so. And some of the more conservative villages in our bible belt are very adamant about their Sunday's rest. This year remembrance day is on a sunday. Because they feel the 2 minutes of silence aren't in accordance with the sunday's rest they've moved remembrance day a day forward to saturday.
I find the fact that 2 minutes of silence isn't in line with sunday's rest mind boggling. If silence doesn't qualify as rest anymore, what does.

Last week I went to ski in the French Alps with friends. We took a drink at some wooden house in the middle of the ski slopes. I took a piss there and... there was a similar urinoir. I immediately thought of this topic. :D The version I used had a motorcycle handlebar on both sides. :eek: Sorry, no pic, but since it's in the ski station where I always go, next time I'll take one.
We need a picture indeed. I dont quite get the way the handlebar is involved but it seems weird to say the least. :)
