and now for the important bits: all fingers, toes etc attached? How big, how heavy?

and now for the important bits: all fingers, toes etc attached? How big, how heavy? All toes, fingers etc attached. He is very healthy and very easy. He doesn't cry at all; except every 3 hours when he's hungry. He sleeps well and his nappies are full. Simply everything goes perfectly with him.

He was measured at 54 cm but I think he was just a bit shorter.
His birth-weight was 3652 gram and he got back to that weight yesterday morning. This morning he weighed 3790 gram ... Amazing.

Penelope is recovering from a tough delivery. The contractions started monday night, just when Penelope was going to bed so she had a bad start. It continued all tuesday and at 7 pm it showed the baby's heartbeat was lacking. We were rushed to hospital and continued there. The last stage of delivery was also hard; Penelope had to push lying on her back, but that way Quentin's heartbeat would drop dangerously low so Penelope then had to lie on her side the next 2 contractions while on oxygene so Quentin's heartbeat could recover. But then the progress the pushing had done was lost so it didn't move forward at all. So in the end they put a suction cup on Quentin's head and got a big pair of scissors ... and he was born finally.

That's about Silja's size, weight and difficulties - but that had to end in a not-so-smooth Caesarean. Be glad that all went well :)

Viggo also had the same difficulties. Just like Killer's Silja it ended in a Caesarean. I can imagine that you felt very nervous during the delivery and very very relieved at the end!

Actually: not that much.
I was fully concentrated on making sure my wife wouldn't get a panic-attack (as that is a risk when she really lacks sleep). Besides that; the top of Quentin's head touched the surface-air and it was just the last few centimeters that couldn't be overcome. A Ceasarean-possibility never really crossed my mind.
