CFC MTDG warmup **Spoiler**

Well with the CDZ team participating in the MTDG over at the CFC i along with BCLG joined in the the pitboss warm up game to fly the flag for team CDZ.

After logging in i got a strange feeling of deja vu, its like i've been here before in a previous game (http://www.civduelzone.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4576)

I hope simon had a bit more luck, its not like he could have less.

Anyway having had previous experience i've learned a couple of things;
1. No need for defence, no could possibly be that stupid to want my land, and if they are they are welcome to it
2. No point worring about infrastructure, i could easily keep pace early but then everyone just takes off into the distance

So with that in mind my plan is to first reasearch fishing, get some food into tummies, prey to god there are horses in the city radius, and while i'm hopefully building lots of chariots get BW so i can whip away merrily. Then it a matter of finding my first neighbour/victim with my recon/invasion group.

The capital is actually looking quite good. There is awful lot of food, a luxury, and some hammers to chop and to mine. If only you can find a neighbor which can be conquered and conquer him rapidly...

I'd feel bad quitting so soon, i might do a bit more exploring in the vain hope there is something else out there, but i probably will eventually

Do the honorable thing: put a settler on a boat and settle on a 1 tile island. Best civ3 strategy that won't work in civ4 EVER.

Looks like you've got yourself an isolated-start OCC.

Without getting a foothold somewhere good, I don't see how you'll be a factor in that game. The only hope I see is if there's good land open to the south that you can get to by galley. You'll still be behind everyone in development, but then you'd have a shot.

Not much to report, have two warriors out fog busting, due to be joined by a third shortly (it not like i need to defend myself from anyone). Research wise i'm aiming for a religion because well... just because

Not much new, the village down where the green stuff is was hostile so i lost my warrior. There is another headed that way so we'll see what else is around.

The other warrior on the ice bridge found a dead end is head back.

For an attack on Mongolia here. Confidence in the attack is hovering a fraction above zero, much like the temperture in Robigrad. Maybe i can catch him with his pants down, thats really my only chance. As you can see he'll have MC in 9, i'll have BW in 10 lol

Its been a while since i update the status of this train wreck. Not a hell of a lot has happened. Since my attack Ceiliazul against was brought to a halt we have remained in a state of war although no battles have been fought. I did try to come to a settlement but he wanted techs for free which given i'm last i wasn't willing to do. So i don't know if he will come to take me out or not.

I have got IW and found some iron nearby so i can actually buid some decent units and i've got another city underway. I doing Aeshetics since no one prioritise it usually to hopefully get some tech swaps for alpha and maths

Not much has changed in the last 15 turns except for growing a little bit. I'm in the middle of negotiating a deal with Donovan that if we can come to an agreement i'll get some techs so i can at least have some fun with my neighbours

I know your all dying to know whats happening in this trill a minute game:rolleyes:

So here it is:p

I was trying to make a deal with Donovan were I would be his vassel, which sums up my position when being a vassel would be a step up. I was looking for something in return in that he would supply me some techs up front so i could go and take out Mongolia and Ethiopia who are AIed, after that I would have been giving him lots of gold, so short term benefit to me, long term to him and a win-win. However Donovan wasn't interested in the first part, only wishing to give me techs at a discounted rate after I paid for them, this would mean I still be in the same position I am now so I said no thanks.

On to domestic matters here is my cute little civilisation, slowly growing
