The party was yesterday, but the costless present comes today. In celebration of his wedding we can all try to redo his job: conquer Judith! So here you play as leader of Fiat Coupé 850 and your mission is the conquest of four civilizations with the leaders: Catherine, Elizabeth, Hatshepsut and Boudica, though all renamed to Judith.

Small pangaea map, always war, warlord difficulty, only conquest victory - I'd say hit it! :D
Other settings: Temperate, low sealevel, Ancient start, Advanced start (1000 points).

We play this as if it's a GOTM: you can all post your replay (zipped) in this thread and I'll collect it so we can all see for whom Judith falls easiest. [mischief] So the objective is to finish the game as early as possible. Deadline: June 18th.

Good luck!

Eh, the current one. The one with which I play all pitbosses and says I don't need to upgrade. [crazyeye]

You can upload it here.

It's tougher than I thought, actually. [blush]

conquest in under 1 hour. Impressive! Just finished a small map game to get into Civ again but it took me quite a few hours to reach domination vic. Ofc no advanced start but still, one hour seems fast to me.

With the advance start, if you choose the right setup, (and the AI does not), it's quite easy.

Well, some wedding pics!

First, we arrive at the town hall in Ommen:

After saying "JA", we finally were allowed to get outside again:

Official pics at a dull place are an anbsolute must:

We were wondering if you had worn the same suit to your marriage. Apparently Judith has more power over you than we thought :D

Actually, it has always been my wish to wear a proper "Morning Coat" during the official part of the wedding ceremony. The yellow tie and especially the yellow shoes should be regarded as stylish and sophisticated additions to an otherwise perfectly classical wedding suit.

There has never been any doubt in my mind anout the yellow tux for the party. The red shirt was a suprise for me. It was handed to me just before the party.

Awesome suit! My wife and her sisters changed dresses 3 times during the reception at our wedding. I, however, didn't have as much class and stayed in the same tux.

What's with you and yellow anyway?

That is a Stapelish suit, a classic along with the yellow shirt pose.

Have you got anything like Stapel_BC-1040_xx.CivBeyondSwordReplay? Barbu1977 too. It's not for distrust - I just like to see the replay and your scores.

And where's the rest?

I did it in 700BC but i think my real time was faster than barbu. I really did pay little attention to micromanaging and built nothing cept 3 rax and WC's.

Stapel
01-06-2008, 11:47
I started with 3 cities, put rax in them, bought husbandry and added pastues and roads. From there only WCs. I kept 2 cities, destroyed the rest. Felt a bit lucky with battles.

I got a postcard from Barbados. ;)

Well, the submissions are a bit scarce, but here are the results after all:

Stapel: 1040BC
barbu1977: 975BC
BCLG100: 700BC
Matrix: 1812AD

Do I suck or what? :D In any case, Stapel won, as it should. ;)
