Ok gentlemen, I'm probably going to be getting a wireless router in the next couple of weeks. I've had problems with getting the router I have now to work with pitboss. If any of you have any know how about setting up a router and configuring it to work for a pitboss session then let me know and I'll try to get one working.

I've hosted one as well, but I made it work with the trail-and-error method. I.e. I just tried a few settings and asked someone whether he could connect.

In any case, count me in as a player. :D

Anybody familiar with hamachi? Oyzar told me I could use that and it would work around my router. I'm clueless though.

Im familiar with it sucking for that arbor day game. Other than that, no.

Really though, I could only not get it to work the first 2 out of 3 times. Ever since it has been fine. And I will say it loads the game on the VPN seemingly faster.

I played C&C3 as well as Wc3 fine over Hamachi.

I need to get the dang computer out, I've been lazy here lately.

My wife won't let me set the computer on the floor for some wacky reason, so I've got to get a table to put it on. I'll try and get one tomorrow and start working on the set up.

The PC is on a table now and I'm patching the BTS as we speak...type, whatever. Anyways, I tried to connect to it, but it had critical file difficulties, thus the patch. Anyways, I'll probably need a volunteer sometime soon to test the connection. If succesful, then we're probably looking at a game within the next few days. I'll start a new thread once I make sure the connection will work. Take note: VIA HAMACHI..... www.hamachi.cc

This patch is taking for stinking ever to download. I'd say I'll be ready to test in about an 30-45 minutes.

EDIT: The stinking patch crapped out at the last minute. Redoing it now, but it'll be tomorrow before I'm ready to roll.`

All patched and ready to be tested! Someone PM or IM me and I'll give with the info. Be sure you've got Hamachi running and you're "online" with it once you get the info from me. I was able to connect from my own computer to the host PC, but not sure if that counts. I was able to when I just did a direct IP before, but no one else could because the router problems I encountered. But Hamachi somehow bypasses the router problems.

So if this works, I'm thinking something like a startup between Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. We'll see if it works first though.f
