No eskimos.

Any eskimos? Eh?

Ok. Mauer said random things so I picked everything random I could in map setup. We end up in the Renaissance with me as Sitting Bull and him as Bismarck IIRC. ID hasnt gotten to turn 1 yet.

My start is alright with a copper, some floodplains and some corn. Ren starts give you 2 settlers, a worker, an explorer and a coupla LBs. If everything goes according to the master plan, I should be able to rip out some rifles in about 40 odd turns with the Priest-Scientists-Engineer-Liberalism Slingshot, patent pending. Being philosophical has its uses. I dont think Totem Poles work for gunpowder units, but hmmm.... maybe I could upgrade some 10 xp LBs to rifles...

Then pillage, then cats/cavs, then win hopefully.

Loopholes schmoopholes. He can still beat me to Liberalism if he tries. Actually Mil Tradition and Curassiers would be shorter and easier, but that requires horses, Mil Trad is GArtist bulbable, and there really is no way to bulb Rifling. I dont see any horses initially.

I dont think this game is going to get going however.

Ok we had to reroll since I forgot my password in the week it took ID to get unbusy. We are cooking with gas now though.

We got ancient on the restart, me as Darius and ID as Washington. I offered to restart as I have an ancient UU and he doesnt but we are going ahead with it.

My start is pretty darn good. Gemses, cornses, marbles, and hillses.

I like a start where you get a bit of everything to get you going.

Any early research plans?

It wasnt showing I dont think, and starting on the plains hill was hard to pass up. I actually think I started one south by the ocean.

I think I'll start a worker up next turn, leave 1 turn on the warrior, do agri-> AH for some horse pressure on him to try to get to his copper before he hooks it up. I must have hunting though (scout), so probably AH first is the way to go. Worker will mine gems and plains hill for settler at size 2 to claim horses. If no horses-> BW I suppose but dont know about before or after Agri.

ID's capital is size 3 and he has a woodsman warrior running about to harry my worker. I still dont know where he is.

Good news is I have horses on the river up by the marble so I can found on those and immediately start chariots. So I am adding another warrior for 3 total (to cover worker and escort settler) and building a settler unless bronze shows up in my BFC.
