Small, 3 AI, and shuffle (whatever that means)
Here goes, looks like random shot me the finger by giving me Isabella. Got a good starting spot, and am working the shore (2 gold) to give me Buddhism in 6 rather than 8 turns. Probably mining next for the gold, and might as well go BW after that to see if I can get copper. Then I'll shoot AH for the pigs and hopefully some horses. I've never successfully pulled of an oracle sling to bureaucracy, but think I'll give it a go here. Thoughts?

Good grief, not sure why it's so small, but you can see the basics. Pigs are one square N of my NE corner. Gold on the hill on the coast.
come off working the coast, if you miss med so what your trying to do a CS slingshot so hampering your initial growth when your planning on founding confusc is not worth the effort :)
what civ did tubby get?
Don't know what civ he got, we're surprising eachother. I'll fix it next turn. Appreciate the advice :D
Not looking good for the home team, and we're only a few turns into the game. Tubby found me, and he's got Quechua's. One so far, but now that he knows where I am who knows. Think I'll try and finish BW, then go for archers if I must. Expecting a DoW next turn.

if you get lucky with the bronze your ok...based on your fat cross...it wont be there. Gut feeling.
Dont neglect chariots agaisnt them. HE has a bonus right against archers?
I'll have to double check that on the archers. As I said, I've never succesfully pulled off a CS sling. Does this pretty much kill that thought? EDIT: What I mean is that by having to divert and research other things basically just to ward off tubby, does that put me behind on the CS race?
No i shouldnt have thought the idea is dead, not sure what level your on but still should be fairly easy to get.

Turns out Tubby is very near me. My wandering warrior found his city and just pillaged a farm. He offered peace but of course I denied. Kind of sucks we're so close, but that's what happens when you don't have a map maker. His Q is still running around my land, but I have 3 warriors blocking him from getting my worker who just mined that gold. So, I need to get axes, swords, or chariots I guess ASAP and try and end this quickly. Next save he sends I'll get a screen shot.
EDIT: And I get BW next turn. If there's copper in the hills north of me, I'll probably chop out a settler.

Ok, not a liar anymore. There's the dancing warriors. His Q is running around all over the place waiting for me to misstep. Need to tiles roaded, 3 turns each.

Finally produced my first axeman. He's only got 2 Q's in his capital atm, but will be a couple more probably when I get there. Think I should get 2 or 3 axes and rush him? I was thinking about going ahead and chopping a settler, building axes from it and starting the oracle in Madrid (need to rename it Kingsland, I know BC).
Oh yeah, He finally moved his Q in my territory where I had good odds on it. So I [estwing] it.

yeah, think I'll do that....although he just got alpha and traded with Hattie apparently. He's up pottery, alpha, AH, and hunting on me.
Apparently Tubby got Hattie to declare on me. No big whoop yet, cause all she has is warriors. I snatched one of her workers with my axe and 2 warriors running north and just kept rolling towards Tubbs. Also killed an egyptian warrior near my capital. Score wise I'm sucking as Hattie and Tubby both have near double my score. Unless they find Iron around somewheres, then I'm on top of things for awhile. Also founded my second city. Screenies next time....

Screenshots as promised. As you can see, I'm not really in the tech race at all [cry]. Also planted my second city on the river there so as to have expedient delivery of copper by my drunken river cajuns. The yellow in the middle of the other one is Hattie, and the northern yellow is Tubbs.

Well you should be able to catch all the way up once you finish math.
Ok, I'm up at least one tech on everyone for now. Up two on Liz and Tubby. Working on cats now to go finish Tubby off if I can. I've cut his iron, and I have 6 axes causing trouble while he's down to 3 axes and 1 archer. I still have 2-3 axes on the way as well. One of you has pointed out that I need a library and some scientist, so as soon as I finish my axe in madrid I'll spend 6 turns on a library to do just that. Picture of the warzone below.
Oh, and I'm first in GNP, second in MFG and second in soldiers.

I found his horse city and razed it so Tubby suicided his last units. He had no copper, iron or horses while I was pushing a bunch of axes on him so I don't blame him except for one thing.....Hattie declared war on me the same turn and my quick route (Hattie's roads) was cut off. I wouldn't have been able to get any more axes up there for awhile having to deal with hattie right next door. Good game Tubbs, I enjoyed it. Been nice playing a game you don't have to wait a week for the save :D

if you would have attacked with those axes the game would have been over a lot quicker. I made a bunch of stupid moves, but that's my fault. [lol] Why didn't you attack with the stack of axes net to my capital?
The reason I suicided is mainly because I knew that I couldn't extract your guys from the forests and it was just a matter of time before you got your units back up to me. good game. And now.. . who is the king of the losers? [king] the winner of the game or the loser? [hmm]
Yeah, my odds with those axes on your fortified city garrison were like 11% and lower. Had a catapult 2 more axes and couple swordsmen headed up that way when Hattie stopped me. That's ok, cause she just had archers :D I learned to just stay put and make them take the bad odds from Simon. You did suicide quite a few units on me, sometimes taking 2, and once 3 units, just to kill one pest.

well the thing is that you were destroying my improvements and I knew that you could out-produce me.. so I had to take some chances
I was dumbfounded about city #2 though. I checked the diplo screen and saw you had a second city, just had no clue where it was. Until I saw your horse archer that is. You lucked out by having that forest and those two hills where they were too. Made it harder for you to attack on that hill across the river, and the forest was a good hide out as well. Did you ever see any Mansa Musa troops? I gave him CS to declare on you...lol

well Hattie and Lizzie got Metal Casting to declare on you [:p] And no. That scout scooted on and I saw hide nor hair of him. But the funny thing was that he never would talk to me.
