View Full Version : Map request for CB vs Aggie --MAP MADE--

Aggie

Cartouche Bee : Carthage
Aggie : Persia
Level : Deity
Map size : standard
Version : 1.21
Barbarians : I don't like them, but they may be random...
Victory conditions: all
Island game, meaning: we'd like to see a couple of civs seperated by water. Only to be crossed in the late middle ages or by suicide galleys. The idea (my idea anyway) is to avoid weak AI's very early.
And nicely balanced between the two humans.

The rest: random or up to the inpiration of the Map Maker.

Thanks :)

hehe, I just recently figured out that my game with Skyfish was not Panegea, pays to read. :) As long as the game doesn't have any goofy fog or oher crap the AI can't play against. ;)

Map is done (this is the biggest understatement possible given what Killer has been through to perfect this map!) and sent.

Thanks Killer for map-making dedication above and beyond the call of duty!!

I got the map today and forwarded to aggie. I'll start a thread with my start position.

Killer, thanks :)

Lt. Killer M

you are welcome.....

hte time I spent was simply to avoid that one of you can simply outproduce the ohter in modern age...... it would be dumb to play a game to 1800AD and then find that the starts are uneven..... ;)

Aggie

It's not 100% yet. I got 3950 BC as my first turn. In fact, I should be first in line....

Lt. Killer M

aggie: you were, but using 1.21 to start up means the first player loses a turn :(

I could have done this the other way round, then CB would have lost a turn....... should I have done that?

Skyfish
06-06-2003, 10:01
YES !

Aggie

Thanks for the info Killer, I don't mind that much but a turn in the first phase of the game is quit a lot. NP I'll continu then :)

Lt. Killer M
06-06-2003, 10:39
aggie: you only lose 1 turn vs the AIs, which isn't really too bad (at least for me).

you STILL are the one to go first in the trading and all.

Aggie
06-06-2003, 10:44
KIller, that is true. I can live with it, but it was odd and I never saw it before. ;)

Lt. Killer M
06-06-2003, 10:59
ah this stem from using 1.21 to set the game up - it is no longer possible to save during the turn.

I *could* have sent you the *.bix and had you start the game.....

Cartouche Bee
06-06-2003, 17:13
Aggie, ok, I'll start up the game and then do nothing and send the game to you. That means we both lose a turn to our deity opponents. Although I can't say that is really a very good solution.

Aggie
06-06-2003, 17:43
CB, no need. I'll play along....

Cartouche Bee
06-06-2003, 18:06
No, it's not fair, I'll resend.
