I've had warlords for a few weeks now so i'm ready for my first Warlords PBEM.
I don't have many preferences, 2-4 players and keeping the leader choices to the newly added ones. Apart from that i'm open to suggestions.
if you need to fill the roster i'd play but am a bit behind with my pbems as it is and im sure its pissing many people off when i sign up for more!

I'm up for one, no preferences on anything other than preferring an ancient-age start.
Robi I am interested. No preferences except I dont want to play Korea again.
Ok so that 3 and 1/2 of us.
The suggestions so far;
Anicent Start
Only New leaders to warlords.
Robboo we can pick the leaders of our choice, just get someone to do some rng for the order.
Also while i think of it, do we want a larger map with some ai the pad out the numbers or a smaller one with just us?

No map larger than standard, is my preference.
Want to do something besides a big pancake map? Has anyone done a high-water-level islands map yet?
If we want AI in the game, then i was thinking a 1:1 ratio with humans which is perfect for a standard size map. If its just us then tiny or small.
I had a look at the high water tiny islands map and i have no problem with it.
I think I'll sign up also if it is an archipelago map like Robi D said.
Are you happy with an archi map Robboo?

The only big question that remains is yes or no to having 4 AI join us. And if yes do we set it up so the turn order alternates between Human and AI or as a block.
I have no strong feeling either way, but having AI could add some spice to proceedings. Anyway have your say for or against and we can then sort out the minor details and get started:D

For it - the start of the game will be kinda slow, and having AIs to beat on/trade with will help that out somewhat.
For it....so what will the AI's email be and do they return messages quickly?? :)

If so the map settings are looking as follows;
Map - Archipelago
Size - Standard
Climate - Temperate??
Sea Level - High
Era - Ancient
Speed - Quick or Normal???
Landmass - Tiny Islands
World Wrap - Cylindrical
Resources - Balanced
Leader Choices;
Hannibal, Brennus, Wang Kon, Mehmed II, Ragnar, Shaka, Ramesses II, Churchill, Augustus, Stalin.
Some one can do some RNG for us. We pick our civs then pick the AI. We can do it so the play order is the reverse of the pick order.

Ok, we can start with the 3 of us plus three AI. As far as over christmas its to be expected so thats no big deal. I guess if you want we can wait to start the game after christmas or start now and take a break over christmas
we can start now we may get a few turns in.
Just let me know when to pick my civ. Are we allowing trades, always war between us or what? What are our additional restrictions.
I think just No PA's. We can also make the AI aggresive, but other then that we can be free to do whatever we want. Any thoughts ID?

But I'm good with everything so far, including an aggressive AI - and how about "random personality" for the AI, removing from them that slight disadvantage of being predictable in their behavior?
random AI would be nice.
PA=permanent allinace
If we do random personality, which changes the traits then it does it for all civs including ours i think. I will look into it.
I will also rope someone in to do the RNG. Its everyone ok with pick order being then being reverse play order.
I will try to enlist Whomp to do the RNG, then we can begin soon hopefully
OK I have my kinky dice. Lowest number gets 1st pick. Here it goes.

Igloo and he gets a 2 (fellatio it seems) and a 3 (shower) = 5
Robboo and he get a 2 (fellatio it seems) and a 1 (in the closet) = 3
Robboo 1st, Igloo 2nd and Robi 3rd.

That is correct. You pick first, then ID, then me. I'll play first then ID then you.
The Leader Choices are;
Hannibal, Brennus, Wang Kon, Mehmed II, Ragnar, Shaka, Ramesses II, Churchill, Augustus, Stalin.
We can pick for the AI when we are done.

hahaha....I will give it a go later on.
I may have to leave work today...they forgot to turn on the frigging heaters and its like 40 in here. Good old cost cutting by the university, they forget that some of us work when school isn't in session. Its actually colder inside than outside right now.

That is funny. For some reason in PBEM's if its not your turn their is an asterick next to the name.
I must say its kinda wierd seeing so much water and so little land.
Water water every where and not a drop to drink.
The real turn 2 was played and turn 3 to Robi this morning.
And that has been past along. Its not often i have explored my entire land area in 3 turns :)

Ah, I'd forgotten about the AI cities. What level are we playing on, again?
We are playing Prince, so the AI wont be pushovers but they wont be world beaters either.

I have the save still... I couldnt find my warlords cd this morning. My wife had cleaned up my desk. I found out she put it back in the file cabinet in the other room where my old CDs are.
I am thinking of hiding her new bike helmet....

KEY word on mine...is NEW. She could still wear her old one...just not her new one that i think she would save if the house was on fire.
/she is training for a Triathelon so she has some super comfortable super light helmet.
Hmmm when you put in tiny islands the map generator doesn't muck around does it. Puts a new spin on ideal city placement
You got that right. This is going to be an interesting but different game.
Just to keep you guys up to date, a have a few trips coming up over the next month.
I will be away at the following times,
9/2 to 11/2, 15/2 to 16/2 and 1/3 to 7/3.
The first couple are only for a few days at a time so you probably wouldn't even notice but for the first week in March if you want i will try to rope someone in to play a few turns to keep it moving.

I'm okay with a slow pace, and wouldn't mind if you didn't get a stand-in.
no worries man..if it stops for a week it isnt a big deal.
Takers? Monarch preferred but a level up or down is OK as well. :)
