Season 31, Day 1

Another season, and one change : I stop quoting my match reports, it's pretty useless.

Well, this new season started with a pretty sad 0-0 tonight (away match). :( I think I was very unlucky, as I dominated the midfield like never before (my poor (very high) to his wretched (very low), ie. 7 sub-levels, making it 70% and 76% possession for me !), and my defence and attack was on par with him. To add to this injustice, I got my best winger getting a red card. :( Well, too bad, too bad, I fielded my best team, most of my players were in good form, I had PICed Wednesday's match, this was a derby... In the meantime, the best team got a nice 4-0 away against the other decent team (coming down from D.VII), while having much less possession advantage (but a far better attack, I agree).

I hope this changes quickly, otherwise I'm stucked in this division one more season, and this would suck. I'll start searching for better players once I have sold my formidable GK.

I hope you guys will get better results than poor, old me.

You think that's bad, try being stuck in the same divison for eight seasons...and winning the league in the last two seasons, but losing the qualifiers...! ;)

I won 2-0, with goals coming in the 83rd and 86th minutes. :)

I lost 1-4, scoring my first goal ever in the IV. My ratings were quite okay actually, but my opponent just outclassed me, so I can't really complain on the result, which was fair all in all I think.

Btw, did I mention his 2 8-star midfielders...? [scared]

By some grave injustice I only lost 1-0 away against the topcontender for the title while I was piccing and fielding my b-midfielders. Since I expected to loose anyway and hope too win one more match for the cup.

I had an almost sellout... it was raining, so I think that's ok. 14944 out of 15001 seats filled. Gave me income of $107 929 :D so far I'm dominating possession, but my lead scorer had a negative weather event right at the beginning of the match. it's currently tied 1-1 with 18 minutes to go.. I need to win this match to win the league I believe.

EDIT:: won 2-1 with an 81st minute score :D

Had a very close game with league leader and almost made it but eventually lost 3:2 which is not that bad. Tough season ahead and all teams in the league have very nice midfield while mine cannot get past weak because of horrible "form disease" which specifically strikes midfielders for the second season in a row. Also, I'm sick of world class players playing at 3.5 stars for the whole season and might consider training a few weeks of general training again if this horrible disease continues. Good thing is that apparently I have saved a bit of cash on salaries because of this since those guys had lower TSI when the season started.

I lost 3-0 and am in last place in my league. Still it beats losing 5-0 to kick off last season. Despite having his top 2 midfielders injured, my opponent managed to achieve a paltry 39 stars or 11 better than me. Hopefully I can run off an impressive string of victories like last season and finish 2nd again, as first is out of the question.

The other problem with my team is that since I switched from a passable coach to a solid coach, all but two players are at least a level lower in form. I thought it was supposed to work the other way (haven't trained stamina either)

I won my first match in the VIIIth division 3-1, scoring two goals in the 85th and 86th minute. Next week will be a real test, away vs the favourite of the league.

Won 3-0 at home versus the other demoted team from the 6th. Played 5-3-2 with my 5 B-team defenders, 3 IMds and AIM. Had a passable midfield, passable Central Attack. Looking very decent so far.:D

@ akots, remember that training General doesn't improve background form so after you switch to something else, your form will head back towards the players' background form

I won 2-0 at home against the only serious contender in my division whilst PIC'ing.

First time in a while that I look forward to the season ahead.

I won 6-2 on normal as the opposition played defensively.

I started in division IV with a 2-2 draw. Missed a penalty that could have brought me the victory but the guy deserved more goals anyway. So fair result.
