No Grs allowed in here!!!!

Game Details
Standard sized continents, seperated by ocean.
Monarch level AI - either 6 or 4 should be fine, depending on the ammount of land we get.
BCLG100: Lizzy; grs: Louis XIV
Balance the map (not symmetrical please).
Standard rules.

I went with lizzy because with the continents not able to cross till we can move across oceans i felt the time would be ripe for me to have redcoats, also financial is very nice and have recently come to like the philo trait.

Heres my start

I moved the settler to where the blue ring was, not because the blue ring was there but because the wheat will be very handy early on, as will the other selection of resources there, wheras i only had fish and cows from what i can see around me in the original location.

Akots-promised some weird things with this map so it looks like it should be enjoyable to play :)

i should really update these things more often, ive met washington and kublai- kublai seems to be racing away but im ahead of both washington and grs in score.

techs so far are AH, masonry, fishing, bronze, wheel and now i think im trying for a religion

i have both horses and copper just outside of my big cross, and a settler in the works shortly (my city is at size 6 now so already past the happy limit but as health isnt past it doesnt matter so much)

I'm planning on settling the copper and also gaining some rice in the process.

I'll post a picture next time im in game :)

I built the oracle in lucky, i was initially planning on going for a CS slingshot but i decided to delay that and instead use it on metal casting so i could build forges and then the colossus for some added commerce, i also assumed as grs is a fan of the oracle he'd try and build it. however while it appears i have marble in my borders i get the feeling grs has pyramids and therefore stone on his.

my 3rd city is also up and running, aiming to be some form of GP city with 2 food resources and all that floodplains i can farm or cottage depending on my mood.

About 15 turns ago now kublai declared war on me, not surprising really as i was really weak militarily and he seems to be fuckin huge! however after beating back the first couple of 'waves' of attackers i seem to be in a position to finally do some damage of my own and maybe clip his wings a little.

i have 3 axes around the city and another 3 on the way, inside are 2 archers, 1 spear and a chariot. im tempted to wait till cats.

Me and washy seem to be getting along quite well so i think ill spread my religion to him, hopefully get him pally with me. I shall be signing peace with kublai asap as i dont like being involved in an unplanned war this early. Peace would also allow me to pursue my next goal of the great library-i think as i have marble that this is still a very decent chance of me getting it :)
