if your name is Simon or Rob..... Think twice about looking at what we are thinking as your head may explode!!!!

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 21:55
so what civs do we want them to have??

I think Asoka should be one of them

Whomp

Here are Simon's choices....
Caesar, Saladin and Kublai
and Robboo's...
Incan,Qin,Cathy

I think Saladin for Simon and Roboo Incans.
What do you think?

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 23:16
So we have to give them one of their 3 choices? What are the Incans? I think that as much overlap as possible on starting techs. Giving them 2 spiritual civs is a mistake though. I hope they make that mistake with us.. as we could get all of the religions.

Whomp

OK here are the traits for Simon..
Caesar organized/expansive....fishing/mining
Saladin philo/spirit...myst/wheel
Kublai aggress/creative....hunt/wheel
For Rob...
Incans aggressive/financial. Ag/myst
Qin indust/fin....ag/mining
Cathy creat/fin...hunt/mining

That tells me Cathy and Kublai or Qin and Caesar.

Tubby Rower

I just wrote a long post about which two that I thought would be good and then re-read the starting techs and it blew out my entire arguement...

I think that the aggressive trait could be a bonus on a tight map so I'd steer clear of the Incans or Kublai. Qin and Caesar are fine by me.

Whomp
20-06-2006, 15:38
OK done. I think we pick for Simon then they pick for you then Robboo then me.

Tubby Rower
20-06-2006, 16:20
Why is picking civs so complicated? I just perfer Random. He's a nice guy you know.

BCLG has played the first turn and started posting spoilers. I'm curious to see how this game unfolds so although I kept you waiting that's no excuse to keep us waiting now!

C'mon - post some spoilers! [whipped]

I played my turn but didn't have enough time to post a pic....

I started researching BW (due in 17). I have 2 pigs and Whomp has 2 cows... How appropriate Furiey [thumbsup]

I'll try to remember next round.

So 6 months on - got any new cities yet?

Tubby Rower
08-02-2007, 14:21
did. but as soon as I planted, there was a Robboo warrior 2 tiles away. unfortunately my warrior was 3 tiles away. It was presumably razed this turn... I'm building another settler currently. I have a horse pasture, pig farm, copper mine, gold mine, and a FP. So I'm getting a good return on the settler build.

Furiey
08-02-2007, 15:29
Ah yes - make sure your next Settler has some tougher nuts....

Tubby Rower
08-02-2007, 15:34
ouch.. my nuts are pretty tender at the moment. Robboo's warrior has stomped on them pretty hard.

Beorn
08-02-2007, 15:39
Chestnuts maybe? Harder to stomp on, big ribcage support ...

Furiey
08-02-2007, 15:58
My horse's nuts are soon to get a similar treatment..

Whomp
08-02-2007, 19:37
Sorry Tubs. That was tough luck and a great spot too. I'll be sending escorts with my settler I think.

With sailing and boats hopefully we can sneak in their backdoor.
What should be research next?

Tubby Rower

horse nuts...

I think that we should go for Construction so we can build cats.

Furiey
08-02-2007, 20:47
My horse happens to be a chestnut...

Sorry furiey, I just wanna call whomp lard ass and I'm being indiscrimate about where I post.

all this stompting of nuts is vaguely disturbing...

Tubby Rower
31-03-2007, 22:14
well I'm looking dead in this game.. I'll post a picture when I play tonight

Furiey
31-03-2007, 22:23
Eeek!

I was hoping to see nicely growing empires at the next update!

Whomp
01-04-2007, 16:50
Yep it's not looking good for Tubs. He's got 4 chariots marching on his capital.

Tubby Rower
02-04-2007, 12:16
and I've been packing getting ready for the move. So I haven't had a lot of time to play the save. Freaking builder mentality!!

Tubby Rower
03-04-2007, 11:24
well here is my current situation. I still stand a chance since I'm making a new warrior every turn.

Not good, as long as they don't disrupt your Warrior builds or more Chariots arrive... Can Whomp come to the rescue?

Whomp
04-04-2007, 01:14
We're pretty far away but I am thinking of sending my two chariots (the light in the south of the minimap) that are near Robboo towards Simon.

Tubby Rower
04-04-2007, 04:19
I'd bet that Simon has emptied out his lands.

Beorn
04-04-2007, 05:21
If you keep making warriors can you mass upgrade them to spears?

Tubby Rower
04-04-2007, 12:41
if I ever get my copper re-connected

Whomp
04-04-2007, 19:04
Tubs I'm not sure how I can help but getting some cats to hammer him with should help too.

Tubby Rower
04-04-2007, 20:22
no probs. He just kept sending them.. I have killed a few at the beginning, but losing two cities as soon as they were founded suck big hairy monkey balls

Furiey
04-04-2007, 21:12
You lost 2? I heard about the first but 2 really sucks!

Tubby Rower
25-04-2007, 16:54
Well I'[m not sure of the status of the game anymore. I was doomed and I didn't want to hold up the game anymore. So I started attacking the chariots that were very quickly filling up my land. Simon put 1 on each square of my capital (only city). All I could do is build warriors :( I did manage to take out a couple of them. Turns out he was waiting on his praets to come finish the job.

Sorry Whomp that you had such an incompetent partner.

Whomp
25-04-2007, 17:51
It's no thing Tubs. I'm shocked he was able to knock out that many units tbh. Should we give them the "W"? I have the save at home.

Tubby Rower
25-04-2007, 18:29
He said that it should be wrapped up unless you got "really lucky". So I think that they have the W whether or not we give it to them [col]

08-05-2007, 16:21
good game guys, i was 1 or 2 turning chariots and 2 turning praets at the end, admitedly i only had the one city.

Whomp
08-05-2007, 17:05
Nice game guys. Those chariots were ridiculous!

Robboo
08-05-2007, 19:56
Dang it..I had axes heading to whomps land.. :)

You guys really got unlucky. My warrior fell into Tubbys settler. Otherwise yall would have had a better chance.

Robboo
08-05-2007, 20:02
additional post

I have to give BC credit...My plan was 2/3 cities then smack Whomp. BC decided he would do nothing but units and once he got cranking it was a chariot every turn or two. I have to say IT was a thing of beauty and i plan on trying that again at a future date.

Furiey
08-05-2007, 21:40
I can't believe this finished so quickly, I thought I'd got things much more evenly balanced than that.

BCLG100
08-05-2007, 21:42
You had, just i don't think tubby was fully expected for war, he had by far the best starting position imo.

Tubby Rower
09-05-2007, 03:09
true.... I made a mistake by unescorting a settler, and then proceeded to waste resources on trying to replace said dead meat twice I think. By then I was swarmed by Simon's patented "screwed by horse" procedure
