Whomp + tubs, you've still got a civ4 challenge from me and robboo, of course if your scared i suppose we can just accept a win[assw]

Whomp

Yip yap. Can you let me finish a couple SG's first? Sheesh...

Tubby Rower
18-06-2006, 03:47
My foot is available for a butt kicking. I could take you both on by myself but I'd have to sit down so you could run your bum into my size 12.

Robboo
18-06-2006, 06:18
We will wait for Whomp...kicking both your butts is just too much to pass up just to kick your Tubbs.

( Remember in the big pitboss game..cross that river and your cities are mine.)

what weird places you have your arse in america, your foot? who would have thought it.

Tubby Rower
18-06-2006, 21:36
yes I do kick your butt with my feet. If I had to kick both of your butts at the same time.. I would have to sit down so that both feet will be available one for each bum.

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 00:22
sit down, you'd have to lie down with such crazy ideas as them, the new baba and lack of sleep getting to you tubs?

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 03:35
yeah but that's not the point...

Robboo
19-06-2006, 05:22
you know I'd call thsi game "the old folks vs the young guys" but I think I am older than tubby...

1973..tubbs?

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 13:57
I'll be 30 in November... so your older than me. But my partner more than makes up for it. Although he's really 13 (mentally) [:p]

Furiey

It's never too late to have a happy childhood - that's what I always say....

Robboo
19-06-2006, 14:50
yeah that what I figured...mentally I am closer to BC's age than I am to my own age.

I can wait a while to play...By mid July I should know if I am moving or not..that will throw a wrench into alot of my games. At least I wont have to pack since the my wifes job would pay for that...

Whomp
19-06-2006, 17:18
I'm not 13....I'm 12 1/2. I'll leave this up to Tubby. Two of my SG's are coming to a rousing finish so I'm ready to use my fists of iron while Tub head snaps both of you punks. Bring it!

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 17:48
Should we ask someone to create a map so neither of us can accuse the other of cheating or i can set it up dont mind.

we could call it bcg and boo vs tubs and baldy

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 18:03
I'll be gone for all of next week (6/24 - 7/1) to the beach with no access to anything but sand, water, and <s>bikini-clad women</s> sand. So if you guys don't mind Whomp playing my turns then I'm fine with it starting up.

Also I'd suggest turns alternate between team memembers™. That way Whomp and I can toy with you two a little more instead of killing you quickly. [:p]

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 18:07
1212 style tubby?

well thats cool letting whomp play for you, so long as you dont mind your opening city having a hair deficency problems.

are we going to do locked alliances-so you can do duel research?

whos playing your turns in pitboss tubs?

Whomp
19-06-2006, 19:31
I will also be gone from June 29th through July 3rd ish.....it's time for Juicy to make the run up to Milwaukee for Summerfest with no access to anything but sand, water, beer, Pearl Jam and Tom Petty and <s>bikini-clad women</s> sand..

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 19:39
well i can fill in for you both during that time.

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 19:43
How about lets kick it off on July 2nd. We need :
1) a map-maker to make a map by then,
2) civs, and
3) I suggest the play order be

Rob / Simon
Tubby
Simon / Rob
Whomp

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 19:52
doesnt matter so much play order, we'll be kicking your ass either way

what map do you want?

how are we going to choose civs? and also what level?

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 20:16
Monarch level... map type doesn't care but I'd like for the mapmaker to give balanced starts.... So a "Balanced Map" is probably the best option (less tweaking).

I don't care which civ I play as.

Whomp
19-06-2006, 20:16
Level: Noble seems to make the most sense for pbems.
Map type: Pangea for early wars?
Civs: Will depend on map type we choose. As you two know by now. [:p]

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 20:27
No im really happy with the civs we chose after recent updates :D

im more partial to a noble tech speed but ill play monarch if you 2 want that, though seems to be fragmention amongst the team already :D

How about continents one team member on each continent?

we could each create a list of 3 civs and their opposing number has to pick the civ?

Robboo
19-06-2006, 20:56
sounds good..
map..i dont care..dont really liek pangea if its really tight..become a rush type game
difficulty: i dont care..I can beat Noble at AI but play higher
Civ..nail down the other aspects and let me see 1 of the other teams Civ and I will make my decions. Otherwise BC idea of 3 civs is OK. I can play just about any civ and beat you guys...as BC is about to find out in our 1 on 1 game.

Order should be...Simon, Tubby, Rob , Whomp...roughly East to west. Just a warning I wont be playing alot of civ around teh July 2nd time due to my inlaws in town..but I can play a turn or 2 a day. BC and I dump our team games into a joint mailbox that way if teh save is older than 5 or 6 hours the other one plays it. If you guys rather not have us do that then we can send it to our personal boxes. If you guys want to set up a joint box..we can work that way too.

/maybe i will get a forum by then and I can hav emy own spoilers ...otherwise i will have to continue to co-op space in BC's

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 21:11
I don't care about the level. Rob's order sounds good to me.

Balanced maps are Pangaea so I'm sticking with that choice.

My list of preferred civs are (subject to change with mood)
1. Eliza
2. Qin
3. Ghandi

I think that it might be best to just wait until after July 2 to start

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 21:26
tubs you can have a balanced map with continents if its going to be created.....

not sure about civ list and robboo for a team game it helps to only have one spoiler.

Robboo
19-06-2006, 21:29
that cool on spoiler..

pangea is fine..just as long as its not too tight in space.

barbs or no barbs..I vote no.

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 21:30
i'd prefer no barbs and also no huts if possible.

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 21:30
of course barbs... you two are playing [lol]

I honestly don't care.... just let me know the settings and I'll figure out what civ I got when I play my first turn.

Whomp
19-06-2006, 21:34
Here are my preferred civs since I feel the need to handicap myself against you two.
1. Catherine
2. Kublai
3. Alexander

pangea makes for better fights and no barbs is ok I guess.

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 21:40
Well then how about, standard size map cut up into 4 quadrants by rivers/lakes- doesnt wrap. This means you 2 wont be able to bumble your way through the game and put a bit of thought into it.

noble speed, barbs seeing as tubby wants them, locked alliances

Robboo
19-06-2006, 22:21
BC..we need to talk about our civs..no more screwups like last time...

pangea is fine...who are we going to get to make the map???

Dam you guys like finacial civs hmmm. Do we pick yours and you pic ours out of the three you posted?

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 22:27
we pick theres, they pick ours.

ok ill start a thread.

Whomp
19-06-2006, 22:32
BTW feel free to give me any of Tubby's top 3 too. There are some quality civs in his bunch.

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 22:33
well when we pick civs are we going to pick in turn order as well? so would mine be first?

Whomp
19-06-2006, 22:36
Fine.Done.Go.
What do you want?

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 22:40
dunno, were chatting about it.

Tubby Rower
19-06-2006, 22:51

Robboo
19-06-2006, 22:58
Well you gusy sorta suprised me with this...I figured i had more time.

I was busy drinking yesterday to worry about this adn i was busy this mornign gettign banned from a sports forum.:)( this time it might be permanent.i called a mod a nazi)

BCLG100
19-06-2006, 23:03
well mine are

hope you can keep up

Robboo
19-06-2006, 23:08

Incan,Qin,Cathy

BCLG100
20-06-2006, 00:29
So you pick my civs first :) then i pick whomps is it? and so on and so forth.

Robboo
20-06-2006, 00:31
they have to talk about and tubby probably has to run some sort of statistical computer analysis....

Tubby Rower
20-06-2006, 17:25
Simon will be Caesar... I picture him as a Nero really. As Rome will burn, if not by his hands then ours [:p]

btw, do we have a map-maker yet?

Robboo
20-06-2006, 17:55
Ok well let me and simon decide for tubby.

I will make the map...yall need lots of cows and no iron right.

Tubby Rower
20-06-2006, 18:11
might as well throw in the pigs too. I'll PM Furiey to see if she could make one up.

Robboo
20-06-2006, 18:16
no problem..if Simon would ever respond we could pick your civ...there must be a SOCCER game on.

Tubby Rower
20-06-2006, 18:27
Yeah SOCCER is pretty important to these guys... even though the college world series has been exciting, as well as NHL finals and NBA finals.

Just give me Ran Dom.

Whomp
20-06-2006, 18:40
Tubs you've got a full plate with Clemson still hanging in the CWS. Big game versus CS Fullerton tomorrow. Are you a Hurricanes fan too? Who knew a rookie goalie could win a Stanley Cup like that? NBA Finals...not my cup of tea. NBA is boring but Mark Cuban is entertaining.

Robboo
20-06-2006, 20:04
tubs..you are elizabeth....

So far...
BC is Rome
Tubby is Elizabeth...( its gogintot pain me to kill a person with the same name as my daughter...oh well)
Rob ?
Whomp?

Tubby Rower
20-06-2006, 20:13
Rob is Qin pro Quo

Dude that reminds me of a story....when I was at Uni I took a badmitton class (half gay and all) because it was the only one that was after 10am (I had partying to do on Thursday night's so 10 am worked). Best thing I ever did. I've never met so many hottie pahtotties in my life. There's nothing better than slamming a shuttlecock down some chica's throat. They loved me. ;)

Robboo
20-06-2006, 21:12
remove a word from Whomps message...and boy does that have a new differnt meaning....( we might need to explain that to Simon..he is a bit young)

I took "fitness" jogging..2 reasons.

1. I ran track so I figured it would be easy. A friedn that I mad ein teh class was in teh army and was returnign after desert shield told me to slow down..he aslo ran a sub 6 mile. I sandbagged the first 1 mile skills test(7 minutes) to make hide my 5:30 a mile speed. I ran teh second mile test in 5:25 got an A and beat everyone. It was fun.

2.Girls in running shorts and tank tops and it had a 5 to 1 ratio guys to girls. I met this nice looking one from the Mariannas islands..blonde, tanned, blue eyes, all legs and..umm bouncey. LAter in the semester, I found out she was staying in the dorms for Thanksgving. So I invited her to go out for dinner. Good move on my part..She was...very thankful. Unfortuneatly her dad got sick and she never returned to the states to go to school. Oh well..just moved on to teh girls in my biology class, then physics then biology then I met my wife.

Whomp
20-06-2006, 21:33
I doubt that's a problem for kid's Simon's age.
What he needs to do is learn how to drive a car.

Dude...what's so tough about driving on the left, using a clutch, properly yielding through a roundabout and staying in the slow lane when someone is passing on your right?
Come clean with us, brah.
Inquiring minds need to know. What happened?

BCLG100
20-06-2006, 21:48
oh right yer, dunno i was up late talking to you guys :p

I did all of them things just paniced a bit i guess.

Robboo
20-06-2006, 21:54
Yo BC...want to tell Whomp who he has?

Sounds like you drive as good as my wife...

Whomp
20-06-2006, 21:56
That's crap. If you were pissing drunk then I could understand. Knackered, though? That doesn't work for me.

Left foot wouldn't work with the right one? Grinding the gears? Almost got hit by a truck when moving into the roundabout? Come on...give me something to work with kid.

BCLG100
20-06-2006, 22:11
i didnt do anything especially badly! all manouevres were perfect, i think i failed because coming out of a junction i swung out a little when a car was coming the other way forcing it to slow down. you fail if you force another driver to change speed etc.

whomp your kublai

romeothemonk
20-06-2006, 23:41
You crazy guys going to school where there are girls and stuff. RIDICULUS!!!

At my school we have 5 guys for every girl. Most of the girls you wouldn't touch with a class 3 biohazard getup.

Yay Rapid City, one of the clamidia capitals of the US. For Phys ed I took choir cause that was the one place where girls equaled guys. That was why I was in drama club, where some nutty gals hung out. (One of them honestly thought she was a cat, strolling around on all fours and purring, and biting and such).

Oh well, it all worked out as I got married to a great woman, probably way too hot for me, but Im not complaining.

And if it makes you feel better I failed my first drivers test by nearly crashing on the way back into the lot after passing everything else. Stupid city changed the stop signs like 2 weeks before.

Robboo
20-06-2006, 23:43
Simon better hurry up and marry that girlfriend of yours...otherwise mommy is going tto have to drive you all around.

BC..Rome
Tubby..Elizabeth
Robboo...Qin
Whomp...Kublai

Sounds like fun....So planned kick off is when? BC..go ahead and start the real spoiler thread in your forum..

BCLG100
20-06-2006, 23:51
well see rob theres a little trick i know, want to see it? go look at your thread :)

Furiey
29-06-2006, 23:52
OK, second attempt at this post after having completely replaced the first with one smiley [blush] I'm looking at doing the map for you and what I have so far is:

It's a 2 team PBEM. Permanent alliances, and I think that we would all prefer a balanced pangea map.

BC..Rome (Team 1)
Tubby..Elizabeth (Team 2)
Robboo...Qin (Team 1)
Whomp...Kublai (Team 2)

You can have Balanced or Pangea, you can't choose both.

So any more preferences?

Map size?
Climate?
Sea Level?
Era?
Speed?
Difficulty Level?
Victory Conditions?

The there are all the options about city flipping, barbs etc. You could leave it to me but you never know one team might find they're playing at Deity, the other at Chieften [evil]

BCLG100
29-06-2006, 23:57
is that a sign that the map maker has made the map?

Furiey
30-06-2006, 00:10
You obviously saw the smiley only version of the above post which is somewhat shorter than the one it replaced. I didn't get to look at doing a map at the weekend at my sister's, I spent far too much time at the stables and was too knackered to do anything when I got back. I'm looking now and thought I'd give you the chance for any last requests before I actually generate the thing.

Do you want me to set up your passwords (in which case you'll have to let me have them) or are you happy to set them up yourselves on the first go?

BCLG100
30-06-2006, 00:15
lol yer, its a bit different now :)

Erm think balanced is best. Dont want tubby whinging if he gets an ice start. Plus a balanced tends to be just one landmass anyways.

Normal speed, Standard sized map. Era just the normal starting one(ancient?), climate=temperate, sea level=dont really mind. Victory conditions=may as well leave them all on, whomp can shoot for a cultural one. Erm normal barbs and think we agreed on a noble tech speed.

Whomp
30-06-2006, 00:20
What Simon says. :D

Robboo
30-06-2006, 02:22
Sounds good...We can set up the passwords ourselves...I trust everyone but my teammate.

Furiey
30-06-2006, 03:56
OK, I'll generate the game tomorrow evening.

Furiey
01-07-2006, 01:17
Sorry all, today has been one busy day, I'll do the game Saturday.

BCLG100
01-07-2006, 04:31
No worries furiey as both tubs and whomp are away for the weekend :)

Furiey
05-07-2006, 19:27
Sorry about the delay everyone, I've been ill the last couple of days plus have been having a few problems getting a balanced game for you. I thought I had one, but need to adjust the resources a bit, however I seem to be unable to start the World Builder at all (for any type of game, single or multiplayer), Ctrl + W just switches between active units as if I was just pressing W. I haven't tried Worldbuilder before so don't know if it's always been like that for me. I'll keep trying as I want to know what I'm doing wrong anyway, but if you want to get someone else to generate the map for you I'll understand.

Tubby Rower
05-07-2006, 19:34
maybe if you go to the menu and then select World builder from there?

No rush, just do it now !! [lol] j/k

Furiey
05-07-2006, 19:54
This is going to sound like a silly question, but where in the menu?

Tubby Rower
05-07-2006, 20:45
upper right corner I think. next to the [?] civilopedia

Furiey
05-07-2006, 21:04
Reboot PC and try again and this time it will let me start the Worldbuilder from the menu (wasn't an option before) if I start a new game, but not the one I already have that is almost there. Here's to a new game then....

Furiey
06-07-2006, 04:06
OK, having corrected the slight problem that I'd given 1 player a pride of lions in place of the usual starting units, I think I've finally got something for you. You'll have to set your passwords and fingers crossed it gives you a good game.

BCLG take it away!
