I predict that I will get to round 3 this season.

My first round is against a bot team that has won 5 matches in a row [:p]

I may get to the fourth round as my first three league matches will probably be PICs (win, lose, lose)

I doubt to make it to the second round.

If I play my A team and he plays his B team, maybe that with luck... and a MOTS. But should I MOTS right at the start of the season? I guess it will all depend on my league fixture.

Dell Do you have your league fixtures already?

barbu.. I don't know what everyone else does but I would PiC and lose before I'd MoTS and win a cup match. Granted they are nice cash but I don't see them as being worth mussing up my TS for league.

The fixtures are always the same so I have a spreadsheet where I just change the team names. It also calculates the potential points for each team.

Now that I'm training PM, I don't expect to advance beyond round 4, and even that will probably be difficult. I will have such difficulties in my league that I simply cannot afford to field my best players in the cup, I fear.

I predict that I will be snubbed for the cup invite this year.... I'm hoping that I do a little better than the bot did so that I can participate next year...

Now off to find some friendlies.. :(

I expect to get to round 3 at least. My first opponent seems doable. the rest is still in clouds.

Dell19: Why should you PIC in the first three league matches? And why is everyone speaking about the cup? Last year I was not in the cup. This is my first year..

First match is at home against the fellow promotee and I should still win the midfield on a PIC. The next match is away to a PM team so I may PIC or normal and then I play the team that will win the league at home so I may as well PIC that.

does PiC'ing 2 times in a week not help?

I'm hoping to get an inadequate leadership coach whenever my brilliant playmaker finally sells.

Maybe me being stupid but what does PiC'ing mean?

Playing it cool, the opposite of Match of the Season.

I hope to get to round 4 this year, I guess I will PIC every match until I'm out of the cup.

Last season I got 15000 Euros in the first round of the cup and more in the second round.
If you are playing at home you get 2/3 of the entrance income, otherwise 1/3.
When I was in the cup for the first time, it was a nice sum of money in the first round, but now it's only a little more then an international friendly in the first round.

I play at home first round against another PM trainer, who can beat me in midfield. I am very tempted to PiC, but I think I will need to play it normal and hope for a decent chance distribution, because as long as I get the ball, I will easily score on his non-existant defense. After that, who knows, but I am not averse to MotSing in round 2, as my league is weak and I should be able to win even with MotSing in the cup (and I will be PiCing my first league match for sure).

If you MotS it, how many times can you do it before it loses its effect? just the once?

Kingreno

You could MOTS every match. But the effect depends on your Team Spirit before the MOTS. the higher it is the better the effect will be. After the match your TS will halve. In general, MOTSing in the cup should only be done when you are certain to be able to win AND PIC at least one, but more likely 2, leaguematches after the MOTS.
If your coaches leadership is poor, it may take longer then you want to get back from a low TS that ruins your matches for quite a while.
