btw, what does "FC" stand for? I think that I've seen it on the end of some Pro teams.

hmm.. now that I can access Hattrick at work via the IP address (bookmarked) I think that it might be wise to start up a team before the end of the season. Or should I wait until the break? I printed out the 36 page long rules to peruse while in the can. I've read Meli's intro for beginners. Anything else that I need to do?
I do need a team name though. So far I'm torn between The Meltdown and The Massive Strokers.

Not at all... it's a reference to the phrase used in wikipedia accompanying articles that are in need of further expansion by its users, since they are at or below minimum information level... i.e.: "this article is a stub".
Pretty lousy reference I admit. [blush2]

Yeah Oragne and blue... Thanks in advance for imploying your creative talent. I looked for you in the USA division and couldn't find you. How do I find other teams? Is it likely that I would be in the same division as you?
There are 1024 Division VI series consisting of 8 teams per series. It would be very unlikely you'd be in my series... Especially if I get lucky and promote to the Vth :D

There are 1024 6th leagues, so that'd be a real coincidence. It would make for a nice rivalry though.

I was jusst checking and I saw that there are now a ton of people on the waiting list. The number on the waiting list up until today was 0 even though I was there..... I hope I'm at the front of that line

You're going to get a team before the start of the new season. They're going to reset ownerless teams soon I guess, and since there are way more teams than users in the USA there's not a real reason for a waiting list.

Does the # of teams represent all teams with an owner and the ownerless teams in division V and above? or is that just the total # of teams?
if you have 6 divisions then the total # of teams IS 10920 = (8 + (8*4) + (8*16) + (8*64) + (8*256) + (8*1024)). But I wasn't sure if that number includes teams that are currently available or not. I really just need something right now to keep me from bugging my wife about her non-existanct labor so I don't get her steaming mad [backstab]
