Huayna Capac (me) vs. Kublai Khan (grs).
4 random AI's, small sized pangaea map...
Let's hope I can at least put up a fight this time... [blush2]

Hmm, not that powerful a start for a small pangaea map, I suppose...
Btw, which difficulty do you guys play on?
edit: good luck of course, and might just be I can join you two in playing MP civ4 soon! :)

It's monarch level...
The start is a bit weak, I agree, but it could be worse!
And it would be good to have some more Civ4 players around here. [goodjob]

Last turn grs had a scout near my lands and we made contact. Now I've got a quetcha (sp?) near his borders...

An undefended capital... ;)
I'm guessing grs will have remedied that next turn...

Next turn: Still no defender. I've got to at least try... :D
War has been declared.

One picture says more than a thousand words, right? :D
Congrats!
Well...kind of embarrasing for me, but there was nothing I could do in time. I started a worker and once I new the danger it was already too late.

So, that was the root of the problem apparently?
Well, yes. That in combination with being so close to each other.

Wow. The irony, no?
grs was out scouting, and seemed to have a good plan.
All of a sudden, the person responsible for that plan had his capital sacked [lol]
Must be a record for civ4?
And does nothing to reflect the skill of the two players involved. Sometimes you're unlucky and sometimes you're not

I don't think so...
This was a small-sized map, so I imagine that tiny and especially duel will potentially be over even faster...
Back to standard sized maps, I guess...
You can ask somebody to make a map to make sure this is not repeated. ;)
