For Civ3 we had a sort of unwritten ruleset, that differed in every game. Of course anyone playing any game may decide on their own rules. However, it might be a good idea to make up a default ruleset. This way, any game started on CDZ have these rules, unless agreed on otherwise.
Here's something I've come up with so far. If many of you disagree I'll remove it. And if there's anything you think of something the rest likes as well I'll add it here. So I hope to see a lot of fun discussions here. :)
[u]CDZ rules for Civ4</u>
- No map trading outside the game, until map trading is allowed in the game.
- No diplomacy between two civs until they have met each other.
- No discussion about technologies or science tuning, until techs are tradable.
- No unit switching between aggressive and non-aggressive civs for the non-aggressive civ to gain experience.
- One may not say where resources are unless the civ has the technology to see for himself.
