This thread is to whinge about being attacked and discuss what we can do about it!
If you want others to assist you in revenge sabs/attacks/masses etc. then here is the place to ask them! [charge]

brainwash - has attacked me 2 times in the last 2 days. I took Dr.A's suggestion to:
1.) Send a nice letter
2.) If that does not work send a threatening letter
3.) Guy still being an ass come here and we will all get involved

Interesting gentlemen. I was sabbed out of 5 IS's then attacked lsoing 200 men and 4 mil gold. Ideas on how to combat this?

Edit I bought a couple of skelleton keys to be able to spy a bit if needed. This Mad Legion guy is pretty tough. He's got 18 officers and is listed as renk 125.
For now could you send him a letter. If he continues I will start the war with him. But for now lets try peaceful resolutions. Until we are all stronger.

The first three guys are from a small chain that has been trying to hit me, but hasn't been able to for a few days, but they keep poking around. I am thinking about trying to actively discourage that, but I need to know what I am up against.

Meli's probably the master spy right now, I think I might go the route of whoring spy this age but for now I have 0.
btw - I will always suggest the first thing to try is to ask politely for them to stop. It often works, and if it dosen't you haven't lost anything by trying. I tend to the route; ask nicely -> threaten politley -> action + messages telling them no more. Of course you can always get someone higher up the chain to intervene if you want, just ask and I am sure any of us will send them a message asking them to stop - then if they don't we can plan how to stop them.
Hopefully it will only take a message and them being reconned by some high rankers in the chain to warn them off [satan]

Urebril is just a guy that kind of randomly attacks and kills stuff, and doesn't loot any gold. I warned him nicely once, but I think he is in need of a bigger reminder. I can see his gold with my pitiful spy, I just want a DA and SA # from him.
The other three just keep spying on me. I just want to know if I should be worried. I like my first warning to carry some heft to it. Like several BPM's worth of heft. My officer can take care of the hitting for now, we both just lack the spy to see if it is an intelligent move.

If you mean that you like to sab them first then that's fine - but be warned that you might get into a war you cannot win. Sabbing is very powerful this age with a max of 40 (48 for elves) weapons sabbed at once, practically that means almost no-one is safe from a concerted effort to mass sab them. The bigger your TBG and sentry the more concerted the effort needs to be but really only top 20 or so will be totally immune this age.
Basically I mean don't bite off more than you can chew, and personally I don't think sabbing people for spying on you is to be recommended but YMMV [fdevil]

By hitting them hard, I mean probing them about 15-30 times to kill several hundred men and ruin their equipment.
I will never start a sab war, I just would be an annoying prick with probe attacks to just waste on their resources.

I get attacked every night. Very annoying. This morning I got robbed of nearly all my money, only 23 minutes before I logged on (and I'm an early bird (unfortunately not by choice)). My defense is too low and my TFF is way too high, but as long as everybody keeps pounding on me I don't have the money to make any significant investment. Suggestions?
I have the same problem. I am attacked almost every night.
Last night I was attacked at 4am by a small orc striker (with the help of a high level spy account). Lost 6.5M and 350 soldiers - all mercs.
I had a DA of 19M.. it seems that is not enough.
Best thing is to make sure they can not see your gold and that you look though.
I'll be raising my DA a bit more.. till 150 IS, but will focus on sentry from there on (and upgrade my fortification).
The large ammount of soldiers we have still generates a lot more gold than they can steal, so it is still profitable. To protect your income you can buy untrained mercs.
If you want to buy something expensive you just have to bank your gold.

I was chatting to Mistfit last night, we have very similar DA's and I have more TFF but he was the one being robbed every night not me, the difference is that I have high sentry and he has very little. also I am rank hiding, which I am sure helps a lot too. someone posted in the KoC forum 'top rankings' thread that apart from the top 2 no-one on the front page (top50) can hold their gold more than a couple of turns(!)

Ok, I'm getting sabbed. Or at least, I intercepted a sab attempt. I got 1M off of PorkChopSandwichNowPigFree this afternoon, I guess he couldn't take it as a man. He's not in any chain. His spy is about twice my sentry, so unless he's really lucky I doubt if he has succeeded. If he has, though, I expect him to be sabbed/massed out of this game.

Keep us updated. I can have my brother run a spy attempt on him, then we can figure out our course of action. On the other hand, Doc could train a few spies and single handedly whoop his butt, or at least tell us how we should whoop this clown.

he could well have succeeded - although maybe not with a large amount. Have you been attacked since he maybe sabbed you? If he didnt try and break them himself he may of not succeeded or gone for BPM instead.
If someone can spy him and post his stats we can see how best to retaliate. Personally I think retaliation should be slightly proportional - so instead of sabbing/massing him out of the game I would do one set of hits then leave it [medic]
I wasn't going to get round to training some spies for another week maybe, but if needed I can probably tool up and train a respectable spy rating in about 24hrs [ninja]

They're basically all slayers with no DA or Sentry, but I haven't had time to follow through the command chains and see who's all connected. I know a couple of them are, ad given the timing of the hits and the stats of some of the guys I suspect I'm on a farm list somewhere. Thanks

There not all connected, but there are two chains: shibuii and PR. The other three are in the chains of silverwolf (?), conspiracytheory (?) and raato. Now I actually know that last one, since some dude was complaining because I had hit him twice. Should've put his money away I'd say.

They are timing their attacks, so I suggest you use the Autobuyer function.
I use it ever now and again. Just set it for quarter after the hour or quarter to the hour, and it works just dandy.
Just concentrating on D wouldn't hurt either.

I've tried using Autobuyer but about every other time it makes it to 0 time and wake up or get home and nothing happens. Kind of annoying. Hit three more times today, so I'll try sending some messages out. Checked that wolf_angel connected with KING_KONG, Neogin is PR, greenbud seemed to take advantage of Autobuyer failure. Just kind of sucking, since I haven't had time to do banking. Will try and send some messages out.

well he is just probing instead of reconning - that 150k probe meant you were holding a couple of mil so it wasnt worth him attacking in full.
If it were me I would message him and tell him 'I really hate ppl who probe instead of recon and kill my spies - next time you do it I sab back.'

This sucker spied on me 5 days ago, and today again for the full 11 (11?) times. So in turn I spy on him 11 (11?) times. Next, he attacks me for a single turn. Wanker.
Apparently this guys spy is only 9M to my 21M, so he can't even see my gold. No clue as to why he bothers to spy on me.

I have written notes to a couple people in this chain (don't know what it's called, but it has the_orc_warior at the top and I've only been attacked by people under Lord_ODEN), but I have still been attacked by 7-8 people in the chain in the past week, many for less gold than could be gotten elsewhere for their SA, wondering what a solid next action would be. None of them has hit me twice, but it is annoying especially as it seems they always hit like 1-30 min before I log in. Open for suggestions.
By the way thanks for the tip on PR, as they have left me alone since a sent a couple notes to them.

Yeah, the guy was a bit of a jerk. I hit him as a target of oppurtunity and then he went psycho about it saying he was going to sab the whole chain back to the stone age. Fortunately Dr., Mistfit, and Bonzai were willing to step up and return the favor on his stupidity. Not sure if he has any BPM's left. Some people are just psycho about being hit even if they have loads of gold and no Defense.
No such thing as an age without a sabbing war :D

Could someone check on Durins_Bane for me? He seems to be the one doing the recon for the repeated attacks on me. It's getting annoying as the last two attacks stole 5M and 800K respectively but it's been 4 hits already today, and killed a lot of spys. They seem to be after gold since no sabs or using only 1 attack, implying they just suck, but I hate it. Sent him a nasty letter so only recon requested for now.

one has an _ behind his name: Durins_Bane_
which one is it?

Hey guys.
The last sucessful attacks on me have both been pulled off by the same guy doing the spying, then one of his officers (Who are all SA only orcs, no D, no Spy, very little SA) doing the attacking. I would like a little info on the guy, as I think that he is playing both characters, spy comes 2 mins before attack.

I am deliberating asking for a mass sab sweep of his officers, as I have already sabbed them myself.
They are taking ~ 1/2 the economic min of gold and are just really freaking annoying.

no need for them to be the same person at all imo, some of our attacks would look exactly similar im sure. I would like some more info on who has done what too, I think we should only sab those guys who have actually spied/attacked you.

He could not see my defense and not see my gold.
Lost 18M.. thats not a big deal, but it pisses me off!

This guy doekoeh started in on me once I attacked his officer Fastwolf. Romeo hit Fast wolf for me yesterday, but apparently this isn't working. I've been handling it on my own but it seems as though he wants some payback for an attack.

Well with 0 DA, our weapons won't get hurt. That would let us bigger boys bomb the hell out of his spies.
Hold on. I know Doc sent a pm about another guy to 5x1 tomorrow so why can't us small guys dink this guy tomorrow too?
After I'm done with these two I plan to mass upgrade my technologies so if anything I'll kill a bunch of his spies.

yeah his spies/sentries can be killed by massing (along with his 640UP) but thats about the only way to damage him.
Israfil is the alliance target for tomorrow, there is a thread at cyberia about it here. (http://s14.invisionfree.com/cyberia/index.php?showtopic=222&st=0#last) good idea to hit this guy at the same time, maybe we can drag in some allies too? although maybe we shouldn't needlessly escalate it [scratch] he is in DES and they have nasty sab threads which are a pain to get removed from (been there... heh) so perhaps we should just hit him a little and see if he backs off?? your call.

If it's really bothering you, post a thread with logs in the war room in the cyberia forum. But if this can be resolved otherwise that'd have my preference. Too many sab wars will hurt the smaller players more than the big ones.

Btw, let me know if something else is going on. I'll help out. I don't have a lot of troops or weapons but I really don't care if they get sabbed/attacked.

That would be a serious blow for small timers like myself.
640 UP = 1.5 - 2 weeks of banking
you cannot hurt the production. You can however kill off a bunch of untrained soldiers when they first come on line before the guy has a chance to train them.

I followed Tubby's lead and destroyed 100 of his knives.

A while ago I mentioned that I was being pestered by an elf, with 10 attack only orcs directly underneath him.
I sent him a nasty gram, but he just attacked again anyway.
Therefor I am offering a 1000 click credit to whoever sabs the most BPM's from the combination of YoLGeZeR and his orc officers.

EDIT: The orc that attacked me is bebegim. He has over 3100 BPM's.
I got 10. Yolegazr is sab proof, no more than 10 of anything. His spy is only 209 mil, so countersabs are unlikely.

apparently this started because PG sabbed one of us (probably after a gold hit) and TUA sabbed him back on whoevers behalf. That would of been the last anyone else knew of it but I think PG sabbed TUA back so in retaliation TUA has been sabbing him every day for the last 2 weeks.... for some hundreds of IS/BPM...
I tried to explain to him how I see the role of a chain leader in regards to wars, sabbing, escalating stuff and responsible behaviour :P I was backed up by the others in the channel, cyber & shards etc. so hopefully TUA will think a bit before he lets something escalate again. But really he had to be persuaded by a bunch of us to solve it with diplomacy instead of trying to take it further, and it pisses me off that I still don't think any of them have a real concept of being responsible to their sub-officers :(
TUA also has some brain-fart idea to split the chain too, into big guys + sabbers and weak guys + growers. He seems to think the weak guys will be able to send clicks and cash to the strong guys (I have tried to point out the obvious flaw here but to no avail) and that this will suddenely mean that we are an effective war clan. I can't really see this working too good myself, and I'm not very keen to split the CDZ chain at all... he and shards seems fairly set on the idea but they agreed that they would need pretty much a total consensus to achieve it. Even if it was a workable idea (which I am dubious about even as a concept) I am 120% certain that they cannot organise it.
Anyways, right now I am just waiting for the clicks to start being paid, last nights conversations just convinced me that these guys cannot lead - and they would probably get in the way of anyone else trying to lead them too. They are just kids who want to have fun and fuck anyone else, including the 2k little guys under them in the chain. And they cannot be arsed to do the work required to make the alliance run well, I have told them exactly how much work needs to be done in the forums etc and they agree that yes thats what we need to do and then do nothing... cyber and TUA are I think incalpable of taking a proper lead.
Lack of vision? check. Lack of ability? check. Lack of work? check. Lack of leadership? check. I think we got a full house on what they lack...
