notice the low casaulties(!) - I have untrained mercs and I'm not sure if they are just really tough to die or if there is some other reason my casaulties are so small?
The other point of note is that I took weapon damage even though I defended the attacks! This is a change from last age and will mean that massing bigboys is now very viable. Together with the change to BPM strength it should be tougher for DA whores this age!
Untrained mercs do Die! I've lost around 200 of them on sucessful attacks. The limited losses may be because they were defended.
I've not been able to do any clicking today because wf was to buggy. I prolly will not be able to do more till sat or sunday

[spam2] I can't play at work any more :( If anyone happens to see my treasury up, go ahead and attack me or log in as me and spend it. I'm getting hit at least twice a day now for half of my TBG (~100k). I play as soon as I get home, before I go to bed and when I get up in the morning but I'm still getting hit. I plan on leaving my defenses low, but I might have to increase the emphasis on them now.
That's a bummer TR :(
Has everyone else found it difficult to get on KoC recently? (Besides you Tubs)?

I pretty much always get on but oftentimes I get the 'forbidden' error or just hanging etc. Its definitely worse around 5pm-midnight GMT for me, so I find its better from work than at home in the evenings.

I am seriously pissed off with those assholes attacking me.
I have had to date 48 attacks against me of which half of them are from particular chain of players.
I have almost certainly made someones farm list. With the average hit being about 500,000 of my money lost.
I have the 84th best Spy in KoC at the moment at about 860,000 and when I try and sab just a singl BPM I get the crappy message "Your officer tells you you will not be able to sabotage that much of an opponents armoury"
WTF! Whats the point of a high spy then?
Am I gonna have to just bite the bullet and invest in a decent defence?

ah meli - now that I think on it I seem to remember some sab formula that means you need a certain spy rating to inflict so much damage in strength points. That message would indicate you do indeed just need a certain minimum amount of rating to inflict that much damage.
level 10 spy and at least one skeleton key are also desirable for sabbing I reckon [ninja]

We may want to sign Whomp up on clickwhore, even if he never clicks. I wouldn't mind shooting him 50-100 credits a week, and if we all did that, he could get in the game a whole lot quicker.
Just a thought.
Payback will be coming soon to those that have pissed me off.
I got me some good sentry, some solid D, and training lots more of both.

I don't know how you guys do it... My eyes start floating after ~ 1000 clicks. I can't do much more than that at a time. I wouldn't mind transferring some of my credits to Whomper or AK or anyone else that doesn't have time right now to click. Just let me know if you want some....I don't have much but I'll share.

I'm getting a bit cranky
Seems like 90% of all spy attempts fail (whilst i can see my targets gold, why else would I spy? ;))
And I often get errors while spying.
I quit the hunter out of frustration this morning.
I hope KoC will get more stable soon.
I think it is very busy at the server, although I'm getting less errors lately.
When the dust settles a bit it will be a lot better..hopefully.
I noticed that your spy level is 5. Try upgrading it to 10.. that will definately help :)

I am really fed up with the poor performance of the KoC and wildfire servers. I can't decently hunt nor put up a decent clicking streak.

I've been transferring some to AK (akidiot) So far I've transferred 1000 in 2 500 increments.
Yeah. It doesn't make sense to have the two or three most heavy clickers at the top of the chain. A lot of clicks are being wasted.
I'm fine at the bottom, but it would make sense to rotate through the ranks after Dr. A, Banzai, Shabba & Meli get set with men. I realize you'll never have the amount that you want but it would help the chain out by rotating.
I'm not even thinking of removing meli from the top
I just think someone should be above meli to catch clicks
1/2 of meli's clicks
1/4 of Doc's clicks
1/8 of Doc's officers

I think its a good idea too :)
It will need to be carefully organised to minimise the amount of commander changes used up. Like whoever is going to be moved to the top being dismissed by his current commander (free change) instead of wasting a change by ditching his commander(uses up one of the 15 changes). Then Meli will have to make that person his commander - then to change back the guy at the top will dismiss Meli as his officer and make his old commander his commander again. Also we can only do this so many times; Meli has only 15 changes so we should use the tactic wisely.
That being said should we get someone on the top straight away to catch the massive flow of early credits? who deserves a boost?

yeah for some reason wf just started working really nice for me, well for the first 500-1000 clicks of a session then it spazzes out but I have a long list of proxies....
I have been getting 50-70 cpm, had to revert to mouse-clicking today though as my fingers were beginning to ache a little [crazyeye]
The clickback rate atm is ~4000 a day (!!!), thats pretty insane but I guess it will drop off pretty quickly so I intend to get what I can whilst the age is young :D

He is on msm some mornings (GMT) - I am not but I can dismiss shabba one morning first thing if we have organised it so Meli then makes shabba his officer a couple of hours later or so.
Probably best to co-ordinate stuff here unless we are all on msm one evening soon.

wtf, how can you click that much without getting RSI? For me clickwhore works a lot better with the new M version.
I'm not too sure about this changing the chain. I'm in it mainly to give dr. A clickthroughs. Leading the chain sounds dangerous too. Meli said he got attacked frequently.
Romeo ~ Dr A will prolly not be giving away any of his clicks right now as they are coming back to him so quickly (3,500 - 4,000 per day return)
However...
I will make you a deal. Between you, your brother and I, Tubs too. Post a screenie of what your total click count is right now. I will post mine. If you end up with more clicks in the next 7 days than I have I will double the difference back to you in credits.
For right now we will just keep this within our chain.

Here are my latest stats.
True to my word, I cannot click on Weekends (Dialup at home [blush2])
Lots of clicking at work with those wonderful School Broadband connections.
This week it is my goal to put up 11,000 clicks.
This might not be that impressive as Doc got most of that in a day, but I think it will keep me going. Maybe I can steal a click or 3 from Mistfit.
My Goals this week are as follows (By next Sunday)
1) Get 11,000 clicks.
2) get my TBG over 1 mil. (Higher than all last age)
3) Train more Sentry (Stay in the top 500 Sentry)
4) Get my 320 man upgrade.
5) Get my D over 100 mil (Might be a stretch, but I think I can do it.
Shabba, I will not have civ4 right away as I am moving. I have more important things to do than play civ4. But since KoC is played primarily when I am at "work" play on. [music]

I am not adverse to running a clicking competition for the whole chain, I had thought to reward clicks with gold - but I can see no practible way of anyone in the chain being able to steal from me without me selling off a huge chunk of DA... so it will have to be click credits.
I am happy to offer a straight 4000 credit prize - winner takes all? (I will not participate in the comp ;))
All those participating will need to screenshot their current wf credits as you 2 have already done (actually its the 'given' bit that is important). I would say 'starting now' except we need to give everyone a chance to be included. Suggest a starting date that gives everyone enough time (presumably it will be a week in length) and I'll start a new thread with all the details etc.

yeah well that is a factor I guess, but still there are ~1000+ clicks a day to be had by being Meli's commander... might be worth the risk! And I totally agree with giving me your clickthrough [evil] but the idea was for people who can't/aren't going to click a lot to get some extra free men in the meantime. If you don't want or need the boost its no problem, we just skip you and ask Whomp if he wants some :D
btw - Whomp you should sign up a wf account! I have already made one charitable donation of clicks to shabba and I couldnt do the same for you. (note to mad clickers - this was a welfare redistribution, clicking prizes and normal redistribution will commence shortly!)
I am more than willing to participate as I said in the other thread. I am also willing to move down the chain behind Shabba or something to help him.

In fact, he wasn't that stupid. He was stupid because he could've hit a better target. But he hit me multiple times with a single or double attack, after I defeated his probe attack. So his attack closely matched my defence.

Hopefully tomorrow I get the other superfast computer configured for clicking, basically allowing me 5k rapid clicks per day. WOOT. Much hope.

Guys. I just tried out clickwhore 2o. WOW!! My clicking time will be cut in half. No kidding this is an awesome utility, especially with the splitscreen option.

yeah I agree, its a lot faster! I'm not sure the splitscreen will help me any, I tried it and it was just as fast but I kept confusing myself by looking at the next one... when you are clicking 70cpm its easy to get confused! [crazyeye]

Edit: I will need lots of beer. I just sat through the worst offensive football game EVER. Our Offense had more possesions than yards. We got 1 first down and that was with 6 minutes left in the game. Our D kept it close by blocking a field goal, 2 extra points and causing 3 turnovers. Wow, our Offense sucked. I am still training, and not approaching attacking yet. I did a couple of dry runs to see what I could hit, and I found that I am 2-3 days away from being able to make some big scores.
However, KoC Server performance has to improve in the meantime, or this dude aint doing any attacking, and just feels plain dumb for not being HOOOMan.
So I am not the only one with problems..
Just managed to get through to spend my gold.. just in time as moments later I noticed several spy attempts in my log.
Hopefully it is fixed soon.
Problem is that it has been this way more or less since about 2 weeks before the last age was over

I hope it's okay this afternoon so I can spend my attack turns. I get attacked every 5 hours or so, a clear indicator that my DA is too low (and my TFF is too high ;) ). I hadn't seen the error message I pasted above before, so this is clearly something new.
With the server being buggy my Auto buyer has not been working...
Sometimes ya get lucky when you log on in the morning :D

Just to let everyone know, tofak was looking for a commander and contacted me. He had unwittingly chosen a poor first commander who had attacked PR repeatedly and was consequently banned from ClickWhore. I'm keeping him on a short leash for now, but I told him about Doomsday and gave a couple tips. Hopefully this pans out, but don't attack him (even though he is small right now).

Hey Matt, Try this one on your troops:
Every Week you will institute the anti-tax. For every Thousand clicks, rounded down, that your subordinate collects, you give him 4% of that total.
i.e. 2800 clicks last week, 80 freebies from you.

This is now a policy for all those that are underneath me. Please post a total click count on all clickers here on Monday morning, and Each week I will pay off the 4% anti-tax. (You chooose the credit types, all clicks summed, then anti-taxed).

sz, we are free to recruit others into the chain I reckon :D obviously membership of this forum etc. is a bit more precious so we will have to be very wary of who we let in.
I am also thinking about some kind of lite version of kocutility that might be less risky to let others in chain use, but anything not in a 'pure' IE window is probably illegal to koc rules...
nice click plan romeo [goodjob] I was wondering about maybe running a click reward scheme instead of a clicking comp for the moment, maybe that would be better for everyone?

Anti-tax sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately I am not able to institute this policy as DD doesn't let you transfer clicks and he was banned from ClickWhore. Surprised me because he was looking for a top 1000 guy with no officers and I was the first to contact him back. I figure give him some time before I mention anything about the chain above me, maybe get him contact with Dr. A and let him decide what to do with the forum if everything goes well.

I didn't have time to spend my attack turns (or the site was down) and I didn't have any decent TBG until "someone" donated an absurd amount of wildfire credit.

Since I did "the hunt" last wednesday I haven't been attacked. I can hold up to 7.5M, at least that's what I got this morning. Being small helps, plus only 800 or so people can see my gold, that might help as well.
All in all, I'm not unhappy.

The goal was mainly to try out this whole proxy thing. Still a solid positive credit should negate the need for too many credit transfers (not that I would turn them down).
But a quick note to the Dr. about my officer: Don't let him join the forum, he has been trying to instigate some clan wars by repeatedly picking on someone bigger than him and then comes crying for help. Fortunately the other command chains have been understanding (since it would take several steps up to even compete with me let alone do anything). Discharging may be in the near future.
It may be time to switch me out as commander. I can't attack anyone due to the size of my untrained units. As well, I was gone this weekend and lost considerable sums of cash and units and will be gone again in two weeks to Montreal and in London Dec. 14th.
BTW anyone up for some [beer1] when I'm there?

I just upgraded to Dynamite for my orcs though.
The KoC Server has been extremely buggy for me today. Because of that I probably won't hunt for a week or so.
On the plus side, I have 700 BPM's with Dynamite. I am going to go after some of those D heavy Bitches soon.

I ran once through the LaCN recruiter after you mentioned trying it. Was highly unimpressed as it kept saying I miss clicked (about 1/4 of the time). Gave up after that.
As far as the clicking competition. I've got a take home test on Wed/Thurs so I figure I'll stockpile now and hopefully bring home a 2nd or 3rd. Today could have been better though.

yeah random factor seems to really sucky this age. maybe I will change the utility so you can set it to only show a green light if you are x% higher in SA than their DA.

Umm, I tried sabbing this guy, but his stuff don't die.
My officers tell me I can't possibly sab that much of an opponents armory.
Someone want to send a Nasty-Gram instead.
Edit: I saw that he had a bunch of sticks and guantlets. I settled for breaking some dozen sticks. I noticed that I could sab his guantlets as well, but was highly dissappointed by the fact that I got the DNS error from KoC's Server every time I tried.
I sent him a note...

My hunting days are almost over :(
I am down to less than 400 attack turns, so there is still some hunting to do.
I want every attack turn to count though, so I have been wondering..
More SA so I can attack those guys with lots of gold but high defense?

Currently my SA is 429M (ranked 86) and my spy is 160M (ranked 62)
I can not see the gold of the entire top 150 with the exception of about 8 guys, including me and Romeo.
So.. I tried to spy on some bug human armies in the top 150.
To my surprise I could get through in 1 or 2 attempts in 8 out of 10 targets.
To my bigger surprise I noticed that 6 of them had a DA between 300 and 400M.. all within my reach. They did not had lots of gold though, but that changes often... they all had at least 100k soldiers.
Therefor I think I am at the point where it is more usefull to upgrade my spy rating instead of my strike action.
I'm going for record steals! (have to beat Romeo's 35M steal... my best steal is 34M :))

I have recruited a new officer.
At Drama club practice last night (I am a staff member and still get to act), I saw someone else in the cast hunting with KoC. I then told him, that he really needed me as his officer, and showed him my rankings, as well as Doc's, Banzai's, Mistfits, and Matts. He quickly joined up. I now just have to get him to do some clicking, as he is currently totally opposed to clicking.
He may be a guy to throw at the top of the chain to help grow up some too. He is a good guy, and will probably become a much better player, once I help him a bit. (If Matt is interested, it is the Buzz man)

oh, a small word of slight caution: please only involve members of their chain who are either sabbing/attacking us already or who are under balistic_virus. IOW do not attck ppl up the chain, sweet_shadow and fastrobbie are on a sab vendetta against PR and we should try and avoid tangling with them I think :)
and lets keep some sort of record of what damage we do / they do. So far I am 5 down and have sabbed B-B and snto for ~5 weapons each (hard to do more as they dont have any more!) and also another guy who helped them attack me (to break my IS) - hitphilwithstick for 4 weapons.
annoyingly most of these guys dont have many weapons to hit... but let us know the names and amounts so we can make sure the right ppl get hit back :)

They have gone Sab Happy. The best way to beat that is to probe them with a huge SA guy, 15-20 times and kill sevearl thousand spies. Without clickers, they can't get them back very fast.

Nothing like a good war to have some fun this age. I would say if anyone wants to opt out of this so they can gain score it's fine with me but I gotta say I look forward to this type of thing. As Doc said this makes it more fun. Seeing them come beg for mercy will be more fun than just playing this baby out for max score. Just my 2 BP's.
Since I am likely a good target for them and I will be gone tomorrow through Sunday. I have sold all my BP's and IS's. With the cash I upgraded my techs to buchets and a moat. I'm carrying 95 lookout towers and 5 skeleton keys and will continue to train men and buy lookout towers today.

IIRC mel, you can only attack someone a certain number of times a day. same thing with sabbing. Not sure what the number is, but if you do attack them only attack with 1 attack turn to maximize the troop damage.
I have yet to be hit I think. I had a sell off to get to 320 UP. Only have ~60 - 65 BPM's at the moment with 5 Towers. AFAIK so far I have been untouched. I have enough SA to help mass tiny attack them.
Whomp, if you need someone to baby-sit your account let us know so that you don't lose too much.
So far I have not yet retaliated, but if I find another sab attempt in my logs tomorrow I will sab that person back and probe him too. Also his officers will be send a nice mail that they have 24 hours to ditch their commander or be sabbed and attacked.

If they don't sab any of us tonight for example then I would like us to be able to 'walk away' from this, I really am trying to think of others here because I am practically invulnerable to a handful of pissant sabbers :D but its the guys without a huge TBG and large sentry who can be hurt...

Over the recent days I'm getting attacked at night. Each time it's an orc army that attacks without reconning. Each time they don't have an army. They don't have anything besides attack soldiers and a lot of BPM's. No spy, no sentry, no defense.
My bet is that these are pigs being fed for someone else. Because they aren't linked to anyone they can attack without retaliation. In itself it's a good idea, but you have to find someone stupid enough to do it. You know, like your imaginary friend.
Oh, if you're bored give EdThaSt0rm a visit. It's a total moron who doesn't bank his money often enough and sabs everyone who hits him.

Guys, I had an idea. I know that is scary, but hear me out please.
I am not sure that we are being properly respected in our new alliance.
They have a lot of clickers and some obnoxious little shits. I personally think Doc is the greatest, and he and the rest of us are being dissed.
In their latest clicking comp, I don't think any of us can win on our own. But if we "team up" we can easily propel doc to victory. Here is how I envision it working.
I figure we will need 100k clicks to win. Here is the hard part. Doc has to trust us with his account.
We work on a rotating schedule, each person clicking as much as they can on a day. I am probably good for 5k clicks per day, then I pass off the clicking to Mistfit. He rolls up 4-6k clicks, and passes it to Banzai. Banzai rolls up a number of clicks, and passes to sz_matyas. We can roll up 12-15k clicks per day, and show everyone who is boss. Then Doc can do whatever with the prizes and knowing him, will probably donate most of the clicks back to us anyway. This will have several effects.
#1 Respect from the clan
#2 Respect overall. I see Doc becoming the #1 click credit guy at WF for a while with this plan
#3 free loot for us.
#4 I like to win. Helping Doc win is a great thing, especially for all the good he did for me in KoC.
Sound off with a yay or nay on the plan.

on an entirely unrelated matter: Is it just me or does that wildfire clickwhore thingie sucks?
I experience frequent exploere freezes with it and the 'downshifting' for easy clicking works only 50% of the time. I use IE6.0
Actually I have found Clickwhore 2p2 to be quite reliable

You can also train your men to attack soldiers. This way you wont lose soldiers when you are attacked and you maintain yor income.

I agree turning them into attack soldiers saves lives, but still leaves me as an appetising target due to large TFF for my rank. Training down to 500 men and turning the last 500 into attack soldiers makes me less conspicious and hopefully my sentry will encourage people to look further for easy targets.
I bank a lot during daytime, but that doesnt really help. Most attacks are probe attacks, I suspect apart from testing my DA they're also testing my gold. every probe attack still kills 30 or so men.
I send out some nastygrams(TM) to repeated offenders who were taking small amounts, telling them to take a hike. Worked pretty well. All small timers without serious chains, so I would have shifted to sab mode in a jiffy should they have ignored me.
You can also buy some mercs. When you are attacked they will die first, protecting your gold producing soldiers.

Don't forget to hit on Israfil today. I read he's going to be massed tomorrow, but since he tried to sabotage me today I have no obligations if you bomb him back to the stone age today. Don't try it if you have a lot of bpm's though. It costed me 2M in repairs.

I hit Istrafil again today for probing attacks and sabbed > 100 knives. I got caught twice, but when he sabbed me about 12 hours ago, he failed 11 times :). I thought that you could only use spies 10x per 24 hours [hmm]

He received a 5x1 and lost 360 knives as I went 9 of 10 on sabs.
He has yet to sab me back but even if he tries he won't have a lot of success since my weapons are all less than 10.

I think the singleton all orc all bpm armies have to be cheating accounts, but whether they are multiples or not they are very fuckign annoying. Now the repair bug is fixed then yeah they can be sabbed, of course they can always try and guess how much you sabbed to sell it off (as you cant force it to break as with a sabbed IS) but its better than nothing.

I did a round of hunting this morning, and I noticed that either my SA is 100% too low to hit decent targets, or my spy is ...% too low to find them. A real pity.
Without heavy clicking it's impossible to keep 2 things up (for instance, SA to be able to hit even the smaller targets and sentry to keep those sabbers and farmers off my back) while increasing a third (spy, in this example). Previous age I had little trouble with it, though that was most likely later in the age.
To be clear, I almost consider a 10M target a waste of turns, but it's about the best I can get. Sometimes I find bigger targets, I get a sander attack and only score 6M.

FWIW, Israfil sabbed me the other day, but I hit him 5x1 previously that day. I'll not do anything else to him until he acts first.
@ [shabba] I'm having to hit 10M G targets too. I still have ~2k turns though. My spy can find folks that are out of my range with 12-15M but I'm not sure if I am looking in the right rank range. I generally go from 15k - 45k ranks, and no one is keeping a lot of gold.

In other news, I haven't been attacked (or even reconned) in a week. In fact, the total amount stolen from me over the last two weeks is 34M. So I must be doing something really good. My guess is that it isn't my DA, so it must be either rank or sentry.
I have been talking about not being able to find decent targets, well, I'd attack myself if I could ;) My spy is 90% too low to spot myself as a target. Since I think it's next to impossible to get another 70M spy rating out of nowhere, I guess I'm pretty much dependent on you guys if it comes to hunting (well, the recon part, that is). I can get my SA up pretty quick, and I don't have a huge TFF like some people here so there should be some good money to steal [hammer]

There are good thing and bad things about holidays: the bad thing is that if you don't get up early, people start farming you.

I made quite interesting steals by leeching on online players. NOt getting more popular from that, and seeing some spite attacks as well. COuldnt care less, if people wanna waste good attack turns while they're mad at me for stealing their gold: good luck, someone will steal it anyway. I'd say they would be better of spending their own robbed gold quicker. :D (I hit a low level guy with 5M in cash who didnt spend it for minutes, I even probe attacked him [rolleyes]
and lvl 10 spy in the bag also :)
I got hit 2 times today. Once for 22 mil and the other for 8 mil. I sent off letters to both to see if it was somthing personal or if they just did not notice that my TFF was smaller than theirs.
Both were decently ranked players as well so for now I'm just a bit cornfused [hmm]
