Turn 40.
Settler on its way to coast, to cover incense.
Amsterdam will be a magnificent four turns warrior/settler factory in 3 turns. Rotterdam will crank out warriors and workers.

Oh, I replayed the turn for the pic. I think (or hope) I did send that southern worker 1 tile northwest.
BTW, writing in 3 or 4 turns.
The Carthages have 4 techs for me.
So, I decided to do a philo run. I know that sounds abit vague, when you don't strat with alphabet....., however,
Keirador doesn't have it either. On emperor, the AI can be a dumb tech developer. In my first C3C PBEM (vs Errik), I did not know the philo-run existed, and headed first to CoL, then to philo, and got Rep as free tech [cool].
And, I do not really want to know where to find horsies or iron this soon.
When I met my first AI (Carthage, quite near, in hte west, they had 4 techs to offer, whereas I had none to offer.
When I got writing, the Carthages did not have it. But the would be insulted to do a 1v1 tech trade [eek].
Conclusion: they were near writing themselves.
I am 3 turns from philo now. I know 3 AIS, none have philo. A 4th AI came visible in IT.
All known AIs are 4 techs ahead.
I have two lux online, and a 4 turn warrior/settler factory in A'dam. R'dam is cranking out warriors and workers. The first cuuragh is northwest. A second curragh just went southwest. A warrior is in the north for exploration purposes.

Judging from Keirador's spoiler your score is considerable lower than the AI and also Keirador. Is your settler factory malfunctioning ?
Nope,
I have barracks, which did delay the settler output of course, but the 4 turn warrior+settler house has been online for a while now.
I'm number one in in pop, money and production.
And catching up in score rapidly!
So, why is everubody posting in Keirador's spoiler, but not in mine?

Because Keirador posts far more screenshots and far more strategy plans to comment on. You just state facts which we take as a "FYI" (For your information, not Fuck You Idiot).
And, Keirador named 3 cities: "Rik Meleet" "Is" "Awesome" ... ;)
He also named a city "NovioMagus Batavorum" (Nijmegen)... ;)

I have one:
Mass build veteran warriors, run to republic, go into anarchy, during anarchy bring iron online, mass up grade warriors, hit the Carthagians hard!
The only thing puzzling me is where (and when) to build the FP.

We're in turn 82 now.
I have two more cities on the southern river, the most southern one at the cost. It is not on the tile I wanted it, because the Carthagian settled on the spot next to [u]my</u> spot.
Mapmaking had been around for a while (to soem civs)
About 10-9 turns ago, the Carthagians demanded my 21 golds. I principally refused it. War happiness kicked in. And I have 30 warriors.
Three turns later, I got republic. The AI once again was stupid. I got Poly, MM and construction, and about 200 gold. I mm-ed every city towards immediate spears and archers, to get into anarchy the next turn. In the meantime, the Carthagians did send only 4 warriors...
After two turns of anarchy, I got currency + some gold from another AI.... This fucking soon in the middle ages.....
The turn after I became republic, iron got connected (top-planning).
Now, I also made some mistakes. I never realised I needed 90 gold per warrior for upgrade. I only had money to upgrade three warriors. The turn after (turn 81), I got my GA! I minimised research, and get 75 gpt. Core cities are on markets now.
I have too many barracks.....
I'll simply keep defending against incoming warriors (also from Byzantines, who were dragged in by the Carthagians). When I have a dozen GWs, I'll strike!
A few turns further now. That Carthage city visible is no more. In a fw turns, I plan to take their capital.
A minor downside, the counter strike was succesful, so the Cs have their GA as well.
Is anyone reading this?
I'm not doing this for fun, so I'd feel screwed doing this for the cat's cunt!

I'm three techs behind on all (lit, mon, feud)
50 turn path to engineering, but might go full power, once all warrior are upgraded.
Carthage will be pointy-sticked to give me all techs.... at some point.

I made peace with C. One turn later, I started a lux deal. the turn after, it flipped back, being size 5, having a rsuhed temple and 8 GWs.....

Ouch that must hurt. Why didnt you wait a few turns more before making peace and whipped it down to one?
I made peace and got lit for it. TGL is there in 2 turns (would have been 1, but my GA just ended). I have too mnay units anyway. All GW production has been changed to horsies (to be upgraded to knights). I will retake Carthage later. It just sucks a bit that I have to make peace again in 18 turns, whereas my lux deal last 19 more turns.

I dont think you can renegotiate a deal that hasnt expired yet.

IIRC you can't renegotiate deals which haven't expired (unless you declare war to human player and then negotiate again :))

In 2 turns, my gpt-lux deal with the Carthagians end. In 6 turns, I have Leo's finished [jumpD] .

For some reason, I agreed peace with Keirador until turn 150.
Actually, I plan to hit him as soon as I have cavs. I'm currently saving money fro upgrades, but I'm also racing to mil-trad.
It's good to have TGL!

In the south, I have had 1 or 2 elite victories every turn, but no leader yet......

So how are you doing in this game?
We're at turn 147. I just upgraded all my knights to cavs. In three turns I might strike....
I had metallurgy first, but Keirador had it the turn after....
I just have miltrad, but he has it already....
Not really good.
I will go to war anyway. But I doubt this war will be decesive.
Most brown dots on the minimap above are either ornage or disappeared now. I can reach one town of Keirador with cavs, right away.
Another thing:
We have peace until turn 150.
But Keirador marched into my lands this turn (I noticed this turn, he must have been there one turn earlier).
What the hell is he thinking?
It's his first PBEM, but otherwise I would have goen to war right away!
Another note:
Could any of you lurkers tell Keirador it is not really allowed to put military units on automove, once the peace-deal is over?

ok, I will tell him in his forum.
I surrendered, after a suicidal raid with my Cavs. I was kinda deluded by Keirador's continuously complaing about doing poorly. He was simply awaiting with his cavs to counter-attack, leaving my realm with exactly 2 cavs and a handful of GWs.
Keirador then decided to go on, and in return I gave him the world map (by jpeg, I will give it for real when I can).
Right now (turn 157) we have decided peace until at least turn 200. I'm finsihing market, libraries, courthouses in non-core cities/banks in core cities, occasional harbours, before building muskets in rax-cities and canons in others.
In 2 turns, I have magnetism, only needing ToG to get into the next age. My plan is to head for railroads and then to espionage.
I will most likely spent nothing on science afterwards, but simply steal anything from Keirador :) .

At turn 177 or so, I do my things ( I just got industrialization, sold it for 71gpt + economics to Sumerians ans sold it for 103 gpt to Vikings, Keirador has idus too, but he didn't sell around....).
When clicking end of turn, I see a useless Cathagian sloop rowing around, and then my advisor comes in:
The Celts declared war on us.
The Celts, that's Keirador!
It might be that our 20 turn peace deal, just ended, I dunno, but that shouldn't make a difference, right?

When renegociating peace, I can solve this shit, but it does cost me 10% tax/science due to WW.

I've replayed and excluded that.
It is EXACTLY 20 turns after we made peace, so I guess that must be it.
I just loaded 192.
Keirador and I have peace until 200. It's unlikely war will break out soon afterwards. I have a spy in Keiradoria. Keirador does not even know how to spy.
The tech path is interesting. A dozen? turns back, I stole Medicine form Keirador (I think before I had espiongae already). Five turns ago (I was doing corporation slowly) Vikings had sanitation and corporation. From a chat I think I can rightfully conclude Keirado did corporation, whereas I expected electricity.
I sold espionage to the Vikings for corp and some stuff. I want 100% for elec, which took 6 turns.
Last turn, I needed 2 more turns, but now I have it :). This simply means Keirdor has it (indeed) !
I just sold electricity to the Vikings for sani, 101gold, WM & 61gpt.
Scientific method it is! I have it in 4, but so, of course, does Keirador. I have a Uni Suffrage in 6, as a prebuild for Darwins, and a palce in 7, asa prebuild for Hoovers.
Now, if Keirador is smart, he has Sci Meth before me. Does he have a prebuild? Well a palace probably, but only this turn he has a Uni Suff for the first time in F7. I think I can be sure he does NOT have two prebuilds.
If I miss Darwin's, I can still steal my way into electronics :)
I got SM.
And Keirasdor doesn't have it. Sold it for 145gpt to Vikings.
Next turn I'll have Darwin's.
The turn after Hoover's.
I didn't really plan. Simply happened to work ok.
Wasting 138 shields on ToE.
And probably even more on Hovver's next turn.
So, I have hoovers....
More interesting:
We are at turn 200, so the peace deal is over!~
I have a solid defense. Keirador has raised his cavalry force from 13 to 21.
But only 1 city is in striking distance at that one is filled with rifles. Another city might culturally expand, which would cause another of my cities within range. It has massive rifles too.
Two other cities are within army (4 moves) distance, so they have two units.
Keirador has 1 army (with cavs)
I have 3 (all empty).
If he strikes, he's dead!
However, it is my plan to hit him with marines in 50(?) turns.
