Wow!
I think, the CDZ Cup already has the first surprise.
Elchtracht Elm has won 1-0 against Schip although almost all ratings were better for Acorazado Fuerte!
Tomorrow another team from Elm will beat a Dutch team...

haha, we'll just see about that tomorrow then...[guns]

My friendly team is far worse than last year so I expect to struggle.

Gotta love that I had a formidable(+5 weeks) striker in that lineup get 2 stars...

Not exactly happy with hattrick at the moment. Confidence is stuck on wretched after a dismal defeat. TS is irritated after two PICs in a row managed to only raise TS by two levels in total. Oh and the total lack of goals in the last few matches.

A defeat at 7 goals is a great start in the CDZ cup for me.

BTW, I've updated the scores and tables as at 15.30 CET ( please forgive my mistakes and let me know)

How much if any is TS and Conf. effected by friendlies?

Kingreno
13-07-2005, 20:11
The result of the friendly has Zero influence on your TS and conf. However the TS and conf both have effect on your play, as it would in league or cup games, meaning that lousy Conf and TS lead to worse performance, while positive ratings lead to better performance.

My pleasure![cool] And I am now in the lead and this will last a whole week!:D Ok minus two hours. Was a bit of an agressive match. Trying to avoid last place at any cost.[soldier]

I beat Crvezda Strijp 2-0. Easy vic, no injurries on both sides. :)

Both of my starting forwards injured One for 1 week the other for 5 [eek]

This takes 2 points off of my League team :(

I just hired four docters to get my two starting forwards back before next week second most important game left.

Doctors: 8

All 3 players may be back for the game on the following week.

f*ck! What happened here? Congrats the Elm of course, but he was just lucky. Mel will feel the pain of a sweet revenge :D

if anything, this will make our group more interesting and will improve the stamina of my players because the punishment-training is set for the entire week.

[lol]

You very funny man.

Now with a very simple season for me it's likely that I'll be mainly playing my first team [fdevil]

mwuhahahahaha! You suggest I actually have two teams ?!? I do have some trainees but they are outstanding [] Accept the friendly, and get ready to get your ass kicked ;)

I have a problem: the team I'm playing this week - Black Marlins (77077)- didn't accept my chalange yet. And his last logins are:

5 latest logins

17.07.2005 at 10:35 from Hattrick Clubhouse
16.07.2005 at 10:21 from Hattrick Clubhouse
15.07.2005 at 10:15 from Hattrick Clubhouse
14.07.2005 at 10:15 from Hattrick Clubhouse
13.07.2005 at 10:11 from Hattrick Clubhouse

Strangely, he did log to clubhouse but not to hattrick. What is the deadline for his acceptance of the chalange?

Kemal
17-07-2005, 13:08
Maybe he is on holiday... iirc you can get clubhouse to login everyday automatically, isn't that so?

I'd say if he has not accepted by tonight, make sure you get yourself another game.

I've waited until now, I think it is fair enough for him.

Now this is what will kill the competition... Bit disappointing when teams do not give warnings that they will be away or even to warn that they may have difficulty accepting the challenge.

Schip

or try to avoid n humiliating defeat, no offense. It's winter in Australia now btw, so vacation is a bit more unlikely.

Kemal

Well, I echo dell's view on this and understand the frustration of ciuly and donald kipper (and I've already seen one other match not arranged as well)... :(

I really do not understand that, if people decide to play this cup, that it is too much to ask to just challenge/accept a friendly once every week, taking about 10 seconds of your time.
Atm, people are letting both their opponents, who need to find a friendly on very short notice now, and their cdz-hattrick mods down who have invested quite a lot of their scarce spare time in setting up this tournament in a way that everyone could be granted friendlies each week.

To already have 4 walkovers in 2 playdays is really quite disappointing. [sad]

Thrawn

Yeah, sorry ciuly, I shifted house and it took them a week to reconnect my net. :(

yndy
19-07-2005, 06:59
It appears both walkovers have happened due to lack of internet connection, I have mailed both Pluxx and Thrawn and got no response. Even if I understand things like this can happen,I urge you to give us advanced notice.

OTOH, I do not want to believe that this will ruin our tournament, everyone should accept, if not understand, that while we increase the number of participants, the rate of walkovers will increase as well.

However, repeated walkovers from the same team will earn them a ban for participation to future editions.

Kingreno

I'd advice those who forsee lack of internet ... to think in advance of what can be done about it.

Mod action: I don't want to risk giving people the wrong idea about this forum and your suggestion is against the rules of the game, therefore I edited it. (Yndy)

Sorry guys, I had completely forgotten that it was time for the cup to start. A gentle reminder in the HT forum would have been sufficient to alert me. I'm afraid I don't stop by CDZ much with several handfuls of other forums I already have to check.

I'll be ready for the next round though.

Kemal
19-07-2005, 21:09
Well, it looks like miscommunications and holidays are to blame for the recent rise in walkover, which is good since it is not lack of interest then, which would be far more difficult to find a solution for. :)

The HT forum isn't used much iirc, since the large majority of us rather use this as a permanent base of operations, but I agree Isak there should have been a message there for those who do not frequent cdz much, I'll keep that in mind as to improve on that next time.

Furthermore, [zip] as yndy says, perhaps people could at least give an indication of the periods of time you think you will be away from hattrick, either at CDZ or at the HT forum, as that would already be a major step towards preventing overall frustrations and disappointments for your next cup opponents.

Lets get back to playing hattrick now then, good luck all in the remaining matches. [charge]

Daniel Ajello of Aristocats received a yellow card in the 26th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The referee showed Aristocats's Denis Panvert the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.

2 yellow cards in a minute...

Matthew Ryan dominated in his new position as an offensive IM, pulling a massive half a star. Hopefully he will sell.

very unhappy with 1-1, though no injurries compensates a lot.

Ironically I did get a higher rating in that friendly than you did in a home friendly 2 weeks ago.

I am very happy that I have beaten Saarbrücken.
I prepared for a big loss but my defense was good against his strong offense.

Thanks Kemal, and I'll take my part of the blame too. The heat must be boiling my brain, or otherwise I would at least have thought to stop by here and check the starting dates again. :)

It was pure luck that I was online when FC Suca challenged me - I just thought "hey great, a Div.IV player wants to play me .. gotta accept before he changes his mind." :D
