Just don't forget to send me a PM when you're ready. I'll be needing teamname, 5 civ list, password.

Ville
23-06-2005, 22:28
I'll send it tomorrow evening, bathsheba hasn't showed up since 18th...

Ville
24-06-2005, 14:24
Sent.

Bathsheba, how do we arrange the email? Maybe create a new gmail account?

Rik Meleet
01-07-2005, 21:11
Is bathsheba still playing the game ?

Ville
02-07-2005, 09:06
Yes, he had problems with internet =/

Ville
04-07-2005, 17:34
Let's use "teammetal at gmail.com" as our email. Password is same as in the game ;)

I am curious as to why you didn't settle on the gold hill. You would've been able to work the plains wheat right away, be founded on a hill for defense, get gold for early research and $$$, and you get an extra turn of production compared to this wasted one.

Ville
06-07-2005, 20:16
I thought that we'd waste the bonuses. We wouldn't?

digger760
07-07-2005, 09:48
Hmm strange start, does the RNG normally put a settler on forest???

Rik Meleet
07-07-2005, 10:34
Bonus would not be lost; only shields and food are influenced by the Despotism penalty.

Ville
07-07-2005, 11:41
DAMN!

Ginger_Ale
07-07-2005, 14:37
Actually Rik, it is affected by the Despotism penalty, IIRC, so one is taken away, but it still goes to the city center, unlike food which doesn't (ie; settling on a cow).

This'll make your victory even more incredible, Ville. ;)

Ah, or should that be: duhhhh, this is the forum you meant.
(I registered on some other forum through your signature Link.)

I sent a PM style email the other day, and later went ahead and played the second turn anyway.
though we might be in danger of having the enter button popped on us.

You were in favour of alternate weeks playing this.
Let me know when you want to start / stop.

Ville
11-07-2005, 19:42
Let's forget that and first one to get it plays :) We need to discuss our plans.

bathsheba666
11-07-2005, 19:56
OK, I made the next run as well since it was a no-brainer.

btw I chose Bronze Working for the tech.
I'm currently building a UU, but I assume we will want to change this so we don't get a GA with only one city....

Ah, just saw your recent post.

I can win races as long as I don't know I'm in them...

Rik Meleet
11-07-2005, 20:34
Bath: Noone is going to press enter for such a mistake. The enter-thingy is just for when teams don't play for a certain amount of time, to keep the game going. And you first get a reminder in the forum.
Don't worry about it; I and Markstar have no intention to ever skip a turn for anyone.

Tip: post in this forumthread when you play, that prevents confusing.

Ville

Looks like a great start [happy]

Let's build couple of MJs and maybe try to rush the nearest neighbour [mischief] They are great explorers anyway.

Bronze Working is good tech since we don't have alphabet and we have our UU, let's go for Iron Working :)
Builds:
Few MJs [crazyeye]
Settler
Granary
Settlers

In our 2nd city, build workers and military.

Ville

I'm away this weekend. Have fun :)

Ville
15-07-2005, 16:38
I'm not away...

Ville
02-08-2005, 16:36
First Metal Jaguar built, he was sent to river forest in NW. I think we might meet someone there most likely.

bathsheba666
06-08-2005, 19:18
Good Call. Met the Milfhunters.

btw
Just recovered from another set of PC problems,
but a third set loom.

I'll be away Aug 21- Sep 5

Ville
06-08-2005, 19:42
Now that they know we are near, we might not have a chance to rush them... unless their capital is only few tiles away and empty. ;)

An update picture would be handy. Us lurkers have some outside knowledge that is incomplete due to your lack of pics ;)

Ville
08-08-2005, 14:46
Let's take a picture next turn ;)

I'm about to go on holiday from Sunday until Sep 5.
Enjoy....

Ville
20-08-2005, 09:40
Do tell me what you'd like me to do in the game...

grs
03-09-2005, 15:41
Sorry for the lack of input, since I "joined".
Ok. I loaded the last save and I guess you started irrigating the wheat. I would chop the forest ne of ToT for a granary after that and build the 2nd town on the hill next to the wheat.

Ville
03-09-2005, 22:50
I found Milf border [groucho]

Ville
18-09-2005, 21:42
They had defender in the capital and warrior coming towards us so when Beam contacted us and proposed peace till turn 60, I accepted, we might ally with them getting rid of other possible teams in this island...

grs
18-09-2005, 22:26
Could we trade techs?

Ville
19-09-2005, 15:37
Haven't checked, they are willing to trade though :)

bathsheba666
21-09-2005, 22:12
Doesn't look like we have anything to trade that they need.

Turn 18:
Met the Gremlins north of the Milf city.

Offered them BW.

We should decide what we want for it?,
and also whether to have peace treaty?

grs
23-09-2005, 22:44
Yes, peace is good. What can we get for bw?

digger760
26-09-2005, 10:25
you meet Gremlins? how about a map update then

bathsheba666
29-09-2005, 23:55
They apparently had nothing to trade.

Where should our settler head for the next town?

Ville
30-09-2005, 14:39
quote:Hi Metal, this is the Gremlins from the Superfast game. We welcome you as friends, and would like to meet you on MSN someday. We see you have a tech to trade (maybe more ?), and you already know we have at least one as well. Tell us your preferences for an MSN meeting, or maybe just a plain email negociation.

krys, on behalf of the Gremlins team (also Darkness and Banzai)

Ville
09-10-2005, 09:12
Turn is in!

I agree with grs that we should build the 2nd city on the hill next to the wheat.

grs
09-10-2005, 09:46
I wrote this to krys, while we wait for an anwser we can still discuss, what we want to trade.

quote:Hi krys,

on behalf of Team Metal I ask you if you would like to trade techs with us. We can offer Bronze Working to you, what will you offer in return?

Christian
grs
I also recalled one of our jw. We must at least have one protector at home, switched ToT to a granary and started the chop for it. Settler was moved to the hill next to the wheat to settle down there. We should connect our wines next and we need a 2nd worker after the granary.

Edit: And why have we been running 30% lux last turn(s)???

Ville
09-10-2005, 11:49
Hmm... last turn I've played was 16 ;)

Ville
10-10-2005, 14:04
Lux to 10%. City name? Build? Moves?

grs
11-10-2005, 16:59
quote:Hello Team Metal !

We're unfortunately not interested in getting Bronze Working from you. But we are open to any future trade, and may come back to you, should the opportunity arise.

krys, team Gremlins

P.S. : Any team email address we can send messages to ?

grs
16-10-2005, 14:41
quote:Hello Team Metal !

Although we declined your offer, we think it would be nice to see you in a chat on MSN, to discuss about a possible peace deal. What about it ?

Team Gremlins I think we should try to fix a peace deal. Any objections?

bathsheba666
16-10-2005, 23:30
I agree about a peace deal.

btw, I went back to move 17 where I started playing a few moves.
My apologies, I didn't spot lux was (already) up to 30%.

grs
16-10-2005, 23:45
Ok I replied that we are interested in a peace deal.
