OK I lost this one.

The Match predictor put this game with an average team from my opposition as a 50% chance of me winning, with only a 30% chance of loss.

Well I lost.

0-5.

I'm free next week now.

Hehe...

MatchID: 46042975
Arena: Meli's Manglers Arena
Crowd: 35197

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Meli's Manglers Arena saw a crowd turnout of 35197. Manglers had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Becerra - Carrol, Castellanos, Bryan - Quigley-Parks, de Klaver, Sprengen, Mottram, Magnusson - van de Duin, Eriksson.

Fairclough's tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Jomm - Tulstrup, Serek, Koivisto - Odziemek, Iversen, Fouley, Wilkie, Brandes - Olsson, Knoll.

Manglers saw most attack opportunites on the wings and were directing their passes that way. The referee showed Manglers's Frank Magnusson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, Alexander Iversen spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. Fairclough's took the lead after 11 minutes with 0 - 1. Alexander Iversen placed the ball out of reach for the home sides keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Stephen Mottram received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 18:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score. The game had been on for 21 minutes when Jürgen Knoll broke through to the right, upping the score to the home crowd´s dismay. Fairclough's´s were up 0 - 2. The referee showed Manglers's Rick Sprengen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 2. Manglers held the ball, with a clear 61 percent possession rate.

Fairclough's´s Johan Olsson received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 53rd minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 0 - 3. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. The structure of the game started to change as Fairclough's decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. The visitors Itzhak Brandes took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 57:th minute. 0 - 4 for Fairclough's. The away team´s Johan Olsson took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 63rd minute increasing Fairclough's´s lead to 0 - 5. Alexander Iversen of Fairclough's received a yellow card in the 75th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. A misunderstanding between the visitors keeper Villem Jomm and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Manglers, but Andy Quigley-Parks´s finish was poorly struck. Johan Olsson came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Félix Becerra, hitting the bar. Manglers held the ball, with a clear 60 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Manglers player was without a doubt Rick Sprengen. Frank Magnusson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Fairclough's player was without a doubt Guy Fouley. Alban Wilkie on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 5.

I won my first round BDFNC game against theoretically the second best team in the cup. Theoretically I have the best average side so it was a close game and won with an extra time goal scored by my excellent youth pull :)

Snaken got totally demolished today, but the result was just and fair, with his 52 stars vs my 34.5...

31116 spectators had come to FC De Snaken Arena this cloudy day. Snaken had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Mi#322;ek - Lucado, Öztürk, Barneveld - Balyon, Rogersson, Halling, Espinola - Snoj, Hoseth, Catană.

Paas started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Kodde - Segers, Pohl, Owens, Kozák - Casner, Bohbratt, Sereći, Dicu - Schepers, Heibner.

A well placed corner kick from Carl Owens was followed by Henk Schepers´s hard but accurate header. The nice combination meant goal for Paas. The result now 0-1. The visitors Henk Schepers took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 18:th minute. 0 - 2 for Paas. The visitors Mark Heibner took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 24:th minute. 0 - 3 for Paas. Paas´s Henk Schepers received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 27:th minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 0 - 4. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. This third goal made a hat trick for Henk Schepers. Wietse Balyon was very close to reducing for Snaken in the 33rd minute, but the visitors right back got his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking to a corner. The teams went for a half-time break at 0 - 4. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Paas, with an impressive 61 percent possession of the ball.

The referee signalled a penalty in the 59:th minute following an offence just inside of the box. Carl Owens knocked home 0 - 5 just out of reach for the goaltender. By now Paas were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. Paas´s Carl Owens made it through the home teams defence in the 70:th minute, and had only to place the ball in an unguarded goal when the home side´s defender sprang up from the left, clearing the ball on the line. The referee showed Snaken's Lars-Ĺke Rogersson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Mohamed Hoseth has the wonderful ability to create chances out of thin air. In the80:th minute he drove a bicycle kick straight past the keeper, resulting in the 1 - 5 goal. The referee signalled a penalty in the 81st minute following an offence just inside of the box. Carl Owens knocked home 1 - 6 just out of reach for the goaltender. Mark Heibner came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Stanis#322;aw Mi#322;ek, hitting the bar. In the game's 83th minute, Paas's Thomas Bohbratt fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Thomas Bohbratt for taking a dive. Paas held the ball, with a clear 61 percent possession rate.

Snaken's best player was Stanis#322;aw Mi#322;ek. Florian Lucado on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Paas player was without a doubt Karl Pohl. Costin Dicu on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 6.

And to round four we go! [dance]

quote:Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Milfdome saw a crowd turnout of 24700. Aristocats had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. The following players had been chosen: Pinto - Al-Mahmoud, Gaastra, Ajello, Angelle - bin Omar, Zirngibl, Sitzia, Myrstad, Dalhuizen - Latinovics.

Flottonions started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Toftdal - Buys, Vleeschhouwer, Bargo - Meessen, Ligtenberg, Nuccio, de la Cruz - Bot, van Brederode, Toorenman.

Aristocats seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Piet Meessen of Flottonions received a yellow card in the 2th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 15 minutes into the game Evert Ligtenberg was a hair´s breadth away from giving Flottonions the lead. A prompt block by Armando Pinto saved the home team that time. After 39 minutes Aristocats´s Ger Gaastra contracted a slight foot injury, but could finish the game. Adriaan Dalhuizen was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the enemy box - Miklós Latinovics managed to kick one of them into 1 - 0 in the 39:th minute. Seemingly due to lack of experience, Johnny Angelle needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. The visitors equaliser seemed sure to come in the 40:th minute, following a one on one situation, but Armando Pinto got the best of it, blocking the shot. The game was close to savage at times, and Flottonions's Piet Meessen received a second yellow card in the 40th minute, his ticket out of the game. The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 0. Aristocats, bringing the final ball possession rate to 58 percent, dominated the battle.

Manuel Nuccio came close to levelling the score in the 53rd minute, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. With 69 minutes played Miklós Latinovics could have brought this one home for Aristocats as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. A great save by goaltender Joes Toftdal in the 78th minute kept the visitors in the game as Daniel Ajello struck from the left with a real cannonball. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Aristocats, with an impressive 61 percent possession of the ball.

Most important Aristocats player was Ger Gaastra. Henning Zirngibl on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Flottonions player was Evert Ligtenberg. Boris Bot on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 0.

lost 2-1, got good chances in the calculater but this is the end in this round.

quote:
A scorching day at SwingStars Arena, where 25000 spectators were in place for today´s match. SwingStars had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Garben - Klarenbeek, Kronberger, de Greef - Bronneberg, Kuiper, Allach, Schwansee, Knoester - van de Garde, Sauter.

Dordt had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Hensgens - Kuiper, Lagrouw, van der Kaay - Gaglione, Olofsson, Kronquist, Gorte, de Balogh - van Weert, Ahmed.

Dordt seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. SwingStars took the lead in the 3rd minute of the game by 1 to 0, as Rudi Bronneberg elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. The referee showed Dordt's Ulf Kronquist the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Dordt levelled the score in the 21st minute at 1 - 1, as Matthijs van Weert struck home after a fine midfield combination, leaving him completely unmarked. After 29 minutes Dordt put themselves up by 1 - 2 as Matthijs van Weert finished off a strike from the left with a real cannon placed at the far post. Matthijs van Weert came close to extending the visitors lead as he, completely unmarked in front of the goal, lifted a ball over Mikel Garben, hitting the bar. The referee showed Dordt's Peter Olofsson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. SwingStars were forced to a substitution as Jerry de Greef couldn´t continue playing due to the rough treatment, forcing Alfons Haagsman to come in from the sidelines. The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 2. Dordt held the ball, with a clear 56 percent possession rate.

Usually a powerful player on the field, Rudi Bronneberg looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. Dordt had, after 62 minutes of the game, worked the left side industriously, creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but somehow didn´t achieve closure. Dordt held the ball, with a clear 57 percent possession rate.

The most dominating SwingStars player was without a doubt Mikel Garben. However, Bram Klarenbeek made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Dordt player was without a doubt Nordin de Balogh. Tjebbe Lagrouw was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
