Thanks a lot, it is very cool. I cannot post it on Hattrick but hopefully, I will one day get a supporter and then will be able to post it.
Thanks, Misfit, I see a new angle on my original logo. I think that "H" might very well be a brick wall but I never thought of that before. Will use the first version, thanks. [goodjob]
Edit: actually, I will probably use the alternate versions every now and then when I feel "orange" or "grey" ;)
Explain supporter please... what's that all about?
Participation on hattrick is free, but you can choose to pay and become a 'supporter'. Supporters get some freebees like more stats, notepad functions and a logo.

The logo I've had since December (when I got supporter) is a just picture copied and pasted off a google image search for "yellow boots." As you can probably gather, I have no computer graphics skills whatsoever. ;) Do you suppose you could make a logo for me? I'd be glad to help you out with your team once you get one (I wonder why it's taken so long, btw).

I have to admit that this is one of my favorites to date
Wow, that looks really cool Mistfit, even though Snaken has 0% to do with Snakes (means something like the jolly persons, or rascals perhaps... something like that I think (it comes from the Dutch translation of the Thieves Guild in Feist's novel "Magician", called "De Snaken")), it looks very good this way.
Also, "Der" Snaken sounds a bit German to me, in the Netherlands der = de, so if you could remove the "r", and since I'm asking stuff here anyway, also could remove the snake thingy in the "S", I think I'm gonna use this one, thanks a lot! [goodjob]

Looks very nice too, but I still like the other one best, I actually have to admit I had given a possible logo some thought when applying for supporter in hattrick, and somehow you must have read my mind as the inital "striking snake"-like logo (even though as said it has nothing to do with the name) came up in my head as well, including the white green crest! (Though the snake would have been more like, if someone is familiar with them here, the "flying fang"-snake like creature from the forgotten realms world/Eye of the beholder 2 (hmm showing my age here I guess, I'll see if I can google a pic of that some time...)
Your impression though fits the bill perfectly, with the slight modifications, I'll get it up on hattrick asap! :)
EoB was cool. I still have all three versions, even played EoB 2 a couple of years ago. Both avatars fit nicely in the atmosphere of these great games imho.

Mistfit, a logo for my team, that's great! i will try and get the second one in hattrick. y team is called thsi because I live across a place where used to be the "burcht" (castle). Yellow and Brown are the city colours but that would suck in the logo. So thanks a lot.
After sleeping on it for a night, I would like to have a falcon in my logo. So could you make the second ont with teh name below and whre the name is add some kind of falcon? Thanks in advance

I think you were still drunk when you wrote that. Anyway, I think a roman battlestandard or a reference to the oldest city in the Netherlands would be appropriate.
the logo you are showing will perish here. If I use that I will die a painfull death. The "valkhof" is the name of the "burcht" (castle). So a falcon would be good, but nothing to detailed. And for the non-dutch valk means falcon.
I'll work on that next week.

Now I wish to ask another stupid question. Why can't I get the amazingly cool thing uploaded? Is there a rule about changing your logo? The first time it worked like a charm. I just don't get it.

Hey mistfit, I have a logo request for a friend who recently started. His team is Pyknites, and I have an image as a reference:

We're still in the dark whether a pyknite is the guy hiding behind the tree thing, or if it's the tree thing itself. Also, do the wings belong to the guy or to the tree?
well seeing that I cannot imagine a tree stump taking your scalp unless you happen to fall on it. I will assume that it is the dwarf/elf/pixy looking guy in the background. I also assume the wings belong to him... I see what I can cook up for you. My guess is that I should have time for this by wed or thurs of this week.

I trounced him 1-7 yesteday, sending him sms messages for every goal. Nice part was that he was bragging about injuring my players, but instead I kicked one of his men off. Heh. Anyway, he's very glad with it.

The only thing with the cycling logo is that one of the frames seems to be misaligned unless its on purpose?
Yeah one of them is 1 pixle off. I saw that as well. I just didn't bother fixing it.

I like the shield, but the circle around the orange/head should definately remain black. Another option is like I've used it in the past, with a white lining around the head. If you want to play with that, I have the logo in EPS format (for adobe illustrator) as well, mucho easy. The text is in the wrong font though. It should be something gothic.
BTW, no problems with the background here. Must be punishment for you using internerd explorer instead of firefox.

The black circle looks really bad... Perhaps the head needs the same grayscale effect as the other black. Text looks great!
Thicker circle I think makes it look better. Using the gradient on the maks does not work

No, I like it, I am contemplating on whether I'm going to use it or not. I'm not satisfied with my current logo anyway.
Could you move the text up/down so that it doesn't hover over the shield? I think it should either be more incorporated with the shield or stand apart, to retain that classic feel. And I'm a bit worried about the background color. I'm forced to use internerd explorer here, and I see the greyish color here as well. Why don't you use the gif format?

Edit: Nevermind. How about I just make the Graphic bigger. I did it in .gif this time. I prefer png. due to the quality. Also the funny color does not show up anywhere but here on a .png

Did you receive the one without the diagnal orange stripe? I do think it makes the lower lettering more readable... but the overall effect is a bit less colorful. Anyway. I'll get back to this tomorrow.

Haven't seen it without orange bar, but I like the bar. Perhaps visibility could improve through an extra black line around the white letters.

It looks really great! But the orange bar certainly added something. Is the "vires" unreadable if you add the orange bar? IIRC you didn't have the white fading effect in the orange bar in the old version.

With my new program I am able to do so much more that I decided to re-do some of my older logo's...
First off is Kemal done in 2 styles.

Great work Mistfit, but I'm still undecided... I like the snake to be relatively large on the logo (as is the case on the current one), and it seems to me that on the newer logo the snake has shrunk a bit in favour of the fancy linings around the picture.
I'm going to think about whether, and if so, what kind of enhancements I'd think would fit the current logo well, in my opinion. Thanks for these two offers already, and I'll let you know if I come up with anything in particular. :)

You could take the circle with the snake (the red part) and make that into a shield. The bottom would be round, and the top, well, like a shield. Then you get a huge snake!
For me the biggest difference is the text. If you want the larger snake I can easily do that, I just wanted to show off a bit with the fillagree around it.
Do you like the text inside the shield or like it outside the way that it was orginally?
Club colours need to be in as well of course, so the quartered green/white background I'd definitely like to remain in. The text outside I'd think would fit better, at least how the logo currently looks. Still undecided on that as well, I suppose...

Mistfit, I like the old shieldshape better, which then fits better with the old falcon. I like the lettertype of the second a bit better. and I wonder if tehre is any way you can have the bottom of the text coincide wtih the bottom of the shield and still have teh text readable and that it still looks good. I also like the yellow thing at side a bit better than the green leaves on the first one.

Colors.. Either Royal Blue or Navy Blue and White.. Would like to have some sort of soccer ball incorporated into the design and the name FC Twisters and some sort of tornado looking symbol..
