What to research what to build???

We've got some choices. It's now 1700BC we seem to be on an island by ourselves completely surrounded by the enemy.

I figure there are 2 ways to approach the game

1.) Alphabet ---> Writing ---> Lit (for GL)
2.)Alphabet ---> Writing ---> Map Making (for galleys)--->then Lit

I presume that we should start our prebuild for the GL very soon our best non-capitol city. Can we aford Map Making first? Please gimme your thoughts.

I listed other as an option if you choose this though you have to give another viable option

I'd also like your opinions on the FP. It seems that the 2nd ring cities will have around 55% corruption already. Can we afford to wait? or should this be started in our second best city?

I guess we enough time for TGL to be completed so we could research MM first.
But anyway, prebuild should be started soon.
And FP should also be completed in time, bt I don't know, maybe we could wait for our second leader!?!
