Arena: Wartham United Arena
Crowd: 40000

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 40000 at Wartham United Arena today. Wartham had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. They fielded: Gray - Mason, Matthews, Budd - Pelgrims, Laporte, Gabriel, Hillerup - Kneale, Ryan, Smets.

Reds had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Johnson - Barniville, Jayaweera, Alric - Kundegraber, Mehrotra, Fuchs, Anthonioz, Altmann - Torsson, Benirschke.

3 minutes into the game Guy Smets had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Tony Rowan. Tony Rowan gave his Wartham the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged both the guests central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the goaltenders right post. In the games 28:th minute the visitors levelled to 1 - 1 as Sivaganesan Mehrotra struck home on a bar rebound, following a shot from the right. Matthew Ryan gave his Wartham the lead with 2 - 1, as he successfully challenged both the guests central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the goaltenders right post. 31 minutes into the game Reds´s Theo Kundegraber found a gap in the home sides central defense scoring to make it 2 - 2. Halftime score was 2 - 2. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Wartham, with an impressive 53 percent possession of the ball.

Matthew Ryan gave his Wartham the lead with 3 - 2, as he successfully challenged both the guests central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the goaltenders right post. Daniel Jayaweera received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly, probably out of lack of experience, in the 56:th minute and almost caused an opponent to score. In the 74th minute Wartham's Robert Pelgrims tried to nail the coffin shut, but the shot from the left glanced off the bar to fall behind the net. Wartham´s Tony Rowan had an excellent opportunity in the 77:th minute, shooting on a through ball, but he missed the goal by miles! Matthew Ryan of Wartham received a yellow card in the 80th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Wartham, with an impressive 58 percent possession of the ball.

The most dominating Wartham player was without a doubt Nicolae Laporte. However, Robert Pelgrims made a disastrous appearance. Reds's best player was Martin Fuchs. Helmfried Benirschke was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 2.

Could have been a comfortable win in the end if my top striker had not been taken out after just 3 minutes. Kind of a shame we both could not go up since we are both good enough for VI.

Snaken end the season on a high, beating in the return match the only team that took points away from the team this season:

quote:
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 9090 to vv sliks united Arena. united had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. They fielded: Tegelaar - Bax, Boote, Groenewegen - Faulkner, Vikwald, Josephine, Gerhardsson, Hoek - Creemers, Medrano.

Snaken tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination. Lineup: Mi#322;ek - Poorter, Lucado, Öztürk - Fjällander, Balyon, Rogersson, Irvine - Snoj, Sánchez, Billand.

Some quick foot work on the left side of the field in the 5:th minute left Snaken´s Wietse Balyon completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. The referee showed Snaken's Joakim Fjällander the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. In the 28:th minute Snaken put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. Scorer was Harold Poorter. The structure of the game started to change as Snaken decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. Stephen Faulkner of united received a yellow card in the 36th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The referee showed Snaken's Lars-Åke Rogersson the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Wietse Balyon could have added one to the visitors lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. 0 - 2 was the half-time score. Snaken held the ball, with a clear 67 percent possession rate.

Snaken´s Wietse Balyon made it through the home teams defence in the 46:th minute, and had only to place the ball in an unguarded goal when the home side´s defender sprang up from the left, clearing the ball on the line. The referee showed united's Simon Josephine the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 52 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Peter Billand who increased Snaken´s lead to 0 - 3. Snaken came close to extending their lead as Peter Billand delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was too sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal. Klemen Snoj was, after 63 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors lead with a well placed diving header but home side keeper Willem Tegelaar saved. Snaken, bringing the final ball possession rate to 79 percent, dominated the battle.

The most dominating united player was without a doubt Alejandro Medrano. Odd Gerhardsson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Snaken player was without a doubt Stanis#322;aw Mi#322;ek. Florian Lucado on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 3.

I needed one point to secure the title.
Very close it was!
BTW; Henning Hederer made his first league match ( I know scorers are more or less random but it makes me feel like I made the right decision...)

Helmern - Grasshoppers Elm 3 - 3

View game: HT Live
Date: 07.05.2005 um 18:15
MatchID: 33622625
Arena: Helmern Arena
Crowd: 18050

18050 spectators arrived at Helmern Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Helmern had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Simon - Koerner, Karlsson, Kie#322;pikowski - McAdam, Ljubinkovi#263;, Staniucha, Pires, Takátsy - Boone, Falch.

Grasshoppers had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Heinicke - Höderlin, Meininger, Bölkstoff - Kirchlengern, Díaz, Teuscher, Pr#281;tkowski, Hederer - Etzel, Hopfgarten.

Some quick foot work on the left side of the field in the 5:th minute left Grasshoppers´s Sebastian Etzel completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. Helmern tried to reply with long plays towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitor´s defence got the best of it. Manfred Kirchlengern increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 0 - 2. A misunderstanding between the visitors keeper Reinhardt Heinicke and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Helmern, but Bert Boone´s finish was poorly struck. The local teams free kick specialist Józef Staniucha, reduced the away teams lead to 1 - 2 with a 29:th minute cannonball. Helmern's Mads Falch got himself booked after a foul. Helmern appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only solid. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the fortyfive minutes.

During the break Helmern´s coach went through the teams new tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. Augusto Díaz seemed highly inexperienced when in the 57:th minute he was loitering with the ball, allowing Józef Staniucha to intercept and strike 2-2 for Helmern. Helmern took the lead in the 69:th minute of the game by 3 to 2, as Mads Falch elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A penalty in the 80:th minute gave the home side a chance at adding to the score, but an overconfident Józef Staniucha shot the ball wide, in an effort to put it away in the top corner. Henning Hederer showed why he is feared on the counterattack, scoring for Grasshoppers in the 82nd minute to make the score 3 - 3. Grasshoppers had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially in the 87:th minute when Sebastian Etzel came up alone against Ronan Simon who managed a block. Grasshoppers held the ball, with a clear 52 percent possession rate.

Helmern's best player was Rajko Ljubinkovi#263;. However, Eru McAdam made a disastrous appearance. Grasshoppers's best player was Augusto Díaz. Jonas Hopfgarten on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 3.

MatchID: 35888927
Arena: Meli's Manglers Arena
Crowd: 28418

At Meli's Manglers Arena, 28418 punters turned up, and despite threatening clouds at the horizon, no rain came. Everyone was excited about the upcoming Hampshire derby and the crowd was divided evenly. Manglers had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. Lineup: Becerra - Magnusson, Spreadbury, Carrol, Castellanos, Bryan - Carroll, Mottram, Belyaeva - van de Duin, Eriksson.

scarpio had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Hjortbo - Kjellbom, García, Oppenheim - Wahlmo, Hardy, McAleese, Tuvgård, Lipsanen - Sousa, Garrido.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Manglers. scarpio´s Julius McAleese refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 6:th minute. Manglers was great at switching from defense to attack, and in the 14:th minute, Stephen Mottram swept through in the middle after such a counter attack, making 1 - 0. scarpio got a chance to level the score as Bruno Sousa suddenly found himself free with the goaltender but the finishing shot hit the bar. The referee showed scarpio's Gary Hardy the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Visitors Julius McAleese was alert on a play coming in from the left, making the score a tie at 1 - 1 in the 32nd minute. Manglers's Daryl Castellanos got himself booked after a foul. Halftime score was 1 - 1. scarpio held the ball, with a clear 72 percent possession rate.

In the 48:th minute the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending and Joonas Lipsanen put the ball away for 1 - 2. One of many good passes from Joonas Lipsanen at the wing was recieved and skillfully taken care of by Ramón Garrido, scoring for scarpio to 1 - 3. The visitors Bruno Sousa took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and central backs in the 82nd minute. 1 - 4 for scarpio. Gary Hardy could have added one to the visitors lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. After 84 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Bruno Sousa who increased scarpio´s lead to 1 - 5. The structure of the game started to change as scarpio decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. scarpio, bringing the final ball possession rate to 72 percent, dominated the battle.

Manglers's best player was Xavio van de Duin. Shaun Belyaeva on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important scarpio player was Frank Tuvgård. Ramón Garrido was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 5.

1-1 at half time.

Beaten 1-5. Still no worries huh?

Congrats to all CDZ-champions!

I managed a solid 4-2 win against the number two. My stadium sold out for €300K. Ended up in 3th place, not to bad. I hope to be a bit more competitive next season.

Congratulations Dell!

I lost again 3-1 to my arch rival (well, not actually, I support his team but we promoted simultaneously so there's a bit of a rivalry between us), and I lost ANOTHER midfielder, my 4th.

Grrr.

Finished 3rd, like previous season. Depending on the relegated team (I doubt any promoted team has a chance) I am a serious contender for next season.

quote:4212 spectators arrived at Alta hawks Arena, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. hawks started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Deloach - Jack, Vera, Johnson, Conroy - Hooker, Outlaw, Chamorro, Isaacs - Dye, Mcgill.

Yellow had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Brown - Hawkins, Slipèeviæ, Falbrant - Burri, Biler, Piñeiro, Berntsen, Örnbom - Train, Gruber.

It was an obvious ambition of Yellow to attack on the flanks. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area, but at last hawks´s Elmer Mcgill was able to shove the ball in. 1-0. 18 minutes into the game Yellow´s Ryan Train found a gap in the home sides central defense scoring to make it 1 - 1. In the 25th minute, hawks's Manuel Chamorro received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Yellow took the lead after 25 minutes with 1 - 2. Ryan Train placed the ball out of reach for the home sides keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Gilbert Conroy behaved like an inexperienced youth player in the 37:th minute as he gave the ball away to an opponent. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Yellow´s Josef Gruber received a play slashing through the home side´s defense in the 37:th minute, chipping it past the keeper scoring 1 - 3. The home crowd was not pleased with that one. Miguel Piñeiro increased the visitors lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 1 - 4. After this Yellow lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. In the 38:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 5 as Ryan Train finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. At that, Ryan Train was noted down for a hat trick. hawks's Clyde Johnson got himself booked after a foul. The Yellow player was David Brown who had to be helped off the pitch, unable to finish the game, but Gerald Pickens came in to finish the match. Halftime score was 1 - 5. Yellow held the ball, with a clear 83 percent possession rate.

An indecisive goaltender looked on as a free kick by Yellow´s Josef Gruber put the visitors up 1 - 6 after 56 minutes. 59 minutes into the game Luke Hooker had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Tyrone Bowens. In the 68:th minute the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 7 as Johnny Hawkins finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The game had been on for 74 minutes when Ryan Train broke through to the right, upping the score to the home crowd´s dismay. Yellow´s were up 1 - 8. Josef Gruber of Yellow received a yellow card in the 77th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Yellow came close to extending their lead as Miguel Piñeiro delivered a long range shot from the right but the angle was too sharp, and the shot hit the side of the goal. The away team´s Miguel Piñeiro took advantage of a mistake to the home side´s right in the 84:th minute increasing Yellow´s lead to 1 - 9. Yellow´s Miguel Piñeiro left the field after 89 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Alejandro Villar. Yellow held the ball, with a clear 94 percent possession rate.

The most dominating hawks player was without a doubt Tyrone Bowens. Arthur Vera on the other hand, had a terrible day. Yellow's best player was Silvio Biler. Gerald Pickens was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 9. An easy win ends the season for me. Two players were injured and one was suspended; fortunately, those won't really matter. I placed 6th in my series and drew a bot for the qualifier, so I'm assured of staying in V.1 for next season. My main objective for this season has been accomplished. :D

I managed a win 1-2 but still went back to the 7th division.
Pity, there was better potential but luck seemed to be on the other side

I won 1-2 but it was not very important. I ended 5th in my division and in the end that is okay, since the main goal was staying up without investing heavily in new players.

This is nice though:

I won 3-1, came in 3rd, could have been second but no2 managed a win in the last minute (dutch teams fate these days) so I missed 2nd place just by 1 point. It was a close league:

1. ka3 14 29 - 9 29
2. gangstars000 14 29 - 22 28
3. PP SV 14 31 - 17 27
4. Octopus 14 26 - 21 21
5. nick's dream team 14 34 - 28 19
6. SLH United 14 11 - 20 15
7. Del Deus United 14 17 - 32 11
8. Smullies 14 17 - 45 10

Still very much satisfied with my 1st season in 6th division. I;m gonna sell Zeev Cohen, buy reinforcements on my midfield and switch to forward training. Looking upwards for next season.
