So who is your best player? "Best" because whatever reason you see it that way.

Mine:

His name is Timmy Vink and he was promoted from my own YS on 27-06-2004. I trained him in Stamina and Defending. His form is almost always Solid and he manages an easy 4.5 stars on passable form as a CD or Wingback-defensive. I plan to train him on to Briliant. He will likely pick up an ounce of passingtraining too. After that he may be sold but that will be a difficult moment for the club. [tongue]

Timmy Vink
TSI = 3 920 , 19 years, solid form
Has wretched experience and inadequate leadership abilities

Stamina: solid Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: weak Passing: wretched
Winger: wretched Defending: outstanding
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: inadequate

So, who's yours?

Nicolae Laporte
TSI = 2 330 , 22 years, passable form
Has poor experience and weak leadership abilities [Technical]

Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: excellent Passing: poor
Winger: passable Defending: weak
Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: inadequate

Scored the goal that won the BDFN cup and has improved my midfield immensely in terms of ratings. Also he cost £131 330 which I feel is a bit of a bargain for an excellent PMer.

No doubt about that, it has to be Berke Can Ozturk, long serving member of FC De Snaken, who has seen it all and experienced both Snaken's ups and downs throughout the team's history. Can always be counted upon to do his job flawlessly while granting others a place in the spotlights.
Has been Snaken's captain for almost 200 days now, and, together with midfielder Baldemar "hintermass" Hintermayr (another Snaken icon) has been very influential in getting Snaken where they are now.

Guaranteed a place in the starting lineup unless injured, and with near passable experience, has already negotiated a long term contract as future coach, hoping to bring even more glory to the team.

Can't answer the question very honestly. I love them all and they are all good, those which were and those which will.

But as it stands now, the strongest player:

quote:Anselmo Mininni (39542156)
20 years, passable form, healthy
A controversial person who is balanced and honest.
Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities.

Nationality: Canada
Total Skill Index (TSI): 2 210
Wage: 1 224 US$/week including 20% Bonus
Owner: Chemists
Warnings: 1
Injuries: Healthy

Stamina: weak Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: inadequate Passing: poor
Winger: poor Defending: poor
Scoring: formidable Set Pieces: poor

But I don't happen to like him a lot, so he will be probably sold and rather sooner than later, apparently at the beginning of the next season or if he promotes during the end of this season. He already came to the coach and asked for salary increase a few times but was sent away to train more.

It'd probably have to be this player:

Playmaking: magnificent Passing: poor
Winger: inadequate Defending: inadequate
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: poor

Career Goals: 4
Career Hattricks: 0

Cup goals this season: 0
He's the furthest ahead of my PM trainees and has the highest skill level of anybody on my team, so he gets the nod. Most of the other trainees aren't far behind him though (he popped to magnificent this week, the first of my trainees to do so).

Marin Ilinca [2 accumulated bookings]
TSI = 7 190 , 26 years, inadequate form
Has passable experience and solid leadership abilities

Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous
Playmaking: brilliant Passing: poor
Winger: poor Defending: wretched

It has to be Marin Ilinca, most expensive buy of all times, captain, set pieces guy, future coach and best midfielder.

Mine is prolly:
Haddad Salim Al-Sulayman (38846043)
28 years, solid form, healthy
A pleasant guy who is temperamental and upright.
Has inadequate experience and disastrous leadership abilities.

Speciality: Head

Nationality: Nederland
Total Skill Index (TSI): 1 060
Wage: 760 €/week
Owner: Dom Ducks
Warnings: 0
Injuries: Healthy

Stamina: excellent Goaltending: wretched
Playmaking: weak Passing: inadequate
Winger: weak Defending: weak
Scoring: passable Set Pieces: weak

Always in good form and high stamina. Scores plenty (though not top scorer since that's my set pieces man Sjakie Boerkamp), has nice specialty and brings the best experience. Reading this thread it only occurred to me that he might make a good next coach, although I have no experience yet with promoting players to coaches. My current coach has now been working for the club since last October. How long do coaches regularly last? I read somewhere that they generally get decrease in quality the longer they have been appointed?

He would be a bad coach since he has disastrous leadership. Really the player would need inadequate or higher leadership to make it worthwhile.
