From this picture, I'd say expand north asap. Grass beats plains.
Might be nice to follow the river as well since there might be some nice foot production tiles there.
Plains > Non-bonus Grass, though. Faster to improve.
I'll probably need to explore first before doing anything...
I'm going for a settler after my first warrior. With AP on, once I hit size three, there will still be three more turns until the borders expand. Until then, I only have two two food or more tiles.

Settler is going up the river.

I forgot... are there any barbs?
Eek, barbs are set to Raging. Better get another warrior then.

Wow... I'd be crapping my pants if I were in that settler group...
Yeah buddy you may want to make a right turn with that warrior.
I'll probably just trod on... It's my style... to be really reckless...
It fits with my policy of creating leaders, not letting leaders come to you.

This early you should be fine. In a couple thousand millenia, however...
A couple thousand millenia = 2 million years. [:p]

[blush2] Oops... well, how about a couple millenia, then, Mr. Specific? [cool]

Updated screenshot. I am now a Monarchy and note the raiding party that is about to form. I hope it doesn't sink.

Haruka I just landed an empty (for havoc sake) directly west of Giddyup. Should I run some interference by heading south?
I'm not sure exactly what you mean. [confused]

Maybe he means that he'll come along with your galley in the hopes the Russians will believe that there are two boats full of troops instead of one.
Well I can either head towards where you will land for additional protection and as RegentMan said as if we are meeting for a double landing.
The alternative is I head north as a distraction and hope they chase me and away from your landing.
Oh, okay. Feigning a double landing wouldn't do much good, since that just makes them protect that place more anyway. A diversion would probably be more effective.

yup, I am. Right now I'm just building markets, libs, galleys and workers. I currently only have 2 boats full of samauri. I'll post a screenie once things change, but not much has changed over the picture a few posts up. I'm hoping that soon we can upgrade some boats and run over and use my samauri before they become obsolete.

You're worried that your samauri might become obsolete? I'm attacking with immortals here! ;)
