Welcome at a new feature of Hattrick at CDZ! The toto!
I will selct 5 matches each week that in my eyes are close. I will also try to get most teams of our "community" in it at least once. Everyone can submit their predictions and after each 10 weeks a great winner is announced! You do NOT have to predict the exact score. the Dutch toto system will suffice (same as in England iirc): 1=home team win, 2=away team win, 3=draw.
IF you reply to this post please begin your post with the predicted result, preferably: XXXXX (e.g. 13321)
Where the first number corresponds to match nr 1 ect ect. After that you can chit-chat any reasoning behind this any way you like. just start with the numbers so it is easy to see for me.
Starting next week I will have the new list of matches ready by tuesday, this week, wednesday is the best I could do.
Points: One point per good prediction, 3 points for highscore of the week. results are due saturdaymorning 10 am. (if that is after any of the matches please tell me.) If you do not sub,it one week you indeed get no points, so joining on a weekly basis is smart.:)

This weeks matches:

Toffee's United - Tidders Town (35891353)

English Brit's Toffee's take on the league leaders at home. We will see a midfield-battle here. Toffee's will have to win to stay in the race for the top-places.

Meli's Manglers - Covey Gdn Utd (35888888)

Melifluous' Manglers have a tough homematch this week. Being last in their league, this battle vs sixth place Covey will be important. Covey plays a very Balanced 4-4-2, Meli usually plays 3-5-2 and will need posession badly.

Real Roorda - Aristocats (36009643)

Leagueleaders Roorda meet KR's Aristocats, currently 3rd. The league's best midfield versus the league's best defence.

FC Suca - SC Cooperativ (32142270)

What can I say? Passable midfield versus passable midfield. nr 1 against nr 3. Will Ciuly's men win and dominate V.249?

PP SV - SLH United (36036465)

Very important match for PP that will determine the course of the following month for him: win and stride for the better half of teh league, lose and fight to stay in the 6th.

KR's prediction: 12111[:o]

You reckon a loss for Toffee's at home and 4 draws! [:o]

IMHO draws are extremely rare in hattrick, and I for one am not gonna be drawing my game :D

Already 10 people submitted their predictions, and several more I know I will get soon too (right Schip, PP, Shabba and Swingue and others too?).
To celebrate this I made this flashy scoreboard:

http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Kingreno/2005224144746_p20040224.jpg
16.61KB

Nice to see CDZ has confidence in CDZ teams (except for Meli, that is[hmm]). I am also amazed that you guys not only see me not losing but actually winning my Match!??? Hehe, so many of you did not give a "1" , I may even PIC and field a B-team.[fdevil]
The other 3 matches have general agreement. We'll see!

Melifluous
24-02-2005, 16:13
ok so how about a percentage for each game?

Like this
http://www.civ3duelzone.com/forum/uploaded/Kingreno/2005224144746_p20040224.jpg

Total CDZ 1=60% 1=20% 1=20% 1=70% 1=70%
2=20% 2=80% 2=40% 2=10% 2=10%
3=20% 3=20% 3=40% 3=20% 3=20%

% CDZ Win 60% 20% 40% 70% 70%

CDZ gets some pts 80% 40% 80% 90% 90%

So PP and FC Suca Hot favourites to win.

All teams hot favourites to get points.

Except me 40% chance of any points.

Nice chart and good idea with the win percentages aswell.

You PIC and field a weakened team in your game Kingreno and I'll be out for revenge in the CDZ Cup. lol

I was going to use database to help predict the scores but haven't had the time so:

Schip

I will go for the 1-1-1-1-1

did a quick midfield analysis, and I don't think KR's counter is going to pull it off this time. I hope i'm wrong though.

Go, Meli, you'll take this one easy!

Kingreno

It is no longer possible to join this weeks toto. please keep in mind you can join next week! I even give a bonuspoint for that.

Good luck all, in both the games and their toto.:)

So now the votings over I can answer this one.

He regularly posts a team with about 36-37 stars.
I manage about 33.

I cant see myself winning this one unless he PIC's.

hehe. Thanks to all the people that voted for me winning though [goodjob]

lol.

My games going to be amazingly close. I'm PIC'ing it atm but I'm still undecided wether to play normal instead. My whole division is unbelievably tight so if I don't PIC it and lose and then lose next week I'll be well annoyed. I think I'll PIC it anyway and hope the HT gods are on my side.

Kingreno
26-02-2005, 13:36
MOTS it! [smirk] and that has nothing to do with Toto-predictions

Are you serious about Piccing? You need your midfield as his defence is very strong. I would most definately not PIC.

Kemal
26-02-2005, 13:38
I'm with KR on that.... ;)

English_brit
26-02-2005, 19:20
Hmm, prob true. I did buy a new "brilliant" striker to replace my old excellent one this week. The only problem is, sure enough, his form dropped to poor on Thursday, sigh.

Ok, I'll play without PIC'ing it. If I lose I'm not gonna be happy though. lmao

Schip
26-02-2005, 19:20
how long thus the increased TS hold? (I saw you have a coach with passable leadership)

English_brit
26-02-2005, 19:55
The last league game I played normal when I was "walking on clouds" as it was a tight game "drew 3-3 away" then I PIC'd my cup game. It's currently on delerious. Was on "Walking on Clouds" yesterday.

I just hope whatever the result tomorrow it doesn'f affect the result in my next league game which will be close aswell.

English_brit
26-02-2005, 19:58
I finished 2nd last season so had to play the champions away in my first game, which I PIC'd. PIC'd the next game afterwards aswell.

I decided to take the loss against the champs away and make up the shortfall in the other games and I'm planning on beating them in the return at home.

The champs MOTS'd vs me which I expected but they slipped up in other games due to it. Currently we're both on 4 points with me having played him away and also having played the 3rd placed team from last year away aswell. So currently my cunning plan is going well.

As I have a passable leadership coach I decided to get my TS up high ASAP rather than to try and beat the champs on their own turf. Hopefully it'll pay off.

First result in...

FC Suca slaughtered their opposition 8-0.

[:o]

Seeing as Cooperativ were pressing I guess they PIC'ed away from home.

Melifluous

1-2 to them now though [cry]

You were unlucky not to get a result. :(

Dell19
27-02-2005, 21:10
I feel like my result wasn't satisfactory. I guess it doesn't pay to have inexperienced forwards which means that I may train players for longer to get their experience up a level to try and sell them for more.

English_brit
27-02-2005, 21:18
Yep. :(
