Fish and tobacco as well! Looks like a solid start with app. forest nearby as well. What level and Civ are you playing Haruka?

Wow, in case that's the Iros chances are getting 2 fast settler (worker) pumps running.

And good luck!:)

Hopefully you find some more BGs for one more settler/worker factory.

Irrigate one cow, settle on the river, and you already have +5 fpt in one city. The problem here is finding shields.

Good luck.

I'm going to irrigate both and try to find the shields and try to get two factories running. I am the Iroquois.

Is that a green border I see? That could be Killer!!! [swordman]

If it is indeed Killer, I will have a pretty good advantage, because I start with Alphabet and he doesn't. If I can get a ship and land some distracting warriors who pillage all over the place, it would be devastating, especially since he won't have MM.

Of course, if it's not Killer, which it probably isn't, this is all for naught. Maybe I'll try to get a curragh out there to find him (but not "find" him).

uhm... curraghs don't carry troops ...

Haruka said 'MM' = Map Making, for Galleys. He was talking about curraghs if he just wanted to make contact, and since he starts with Alphabet, he has a head start to Galleys (Map Making).

PS: It is probably killer, since the color matches the one on the drop down bar for points.

Actually, I'm not referring to officially making contact. You see, I can't really tell what colour that is. However, there aren't any colours close to green other than Killer, so I ssumed that. It would be interesting if Killer was thinking the same thing. I have several AIs who have the similar colour to me...

I could be really colour-blind, and that could be Theo or something, of course.

Anyway, I think that, as long as I don't end my turn with a unit in or next to his territory, I won't make contact. I wonder if I can keep him from knowing that I could be right next to him preparing a fleet and some MWs...

Getting a curragh two tiles W or Erheam should let me see clearly what colour it really is. I'll be kicking myself if it's not Killer.

Moment, from what I see on the latest pic, you have no access to Killer's land (if we suppose that's him). Ships aren't able to cross the mountain ridge, unlike in Civ1 and Civ2. Land troops can walk on the mountains but ships can't cross it. To have access to the other side, you must first find a way around this difficulty. But it isn't needed if you just want to make contact ; in this case, just drop a unit from a galley on the mountains, and that will do it.

Maybe trying to find a way before making contact is better if you want a surprise attack... [groucho] As for just making contact, it's up to you, regarding science.

Can realy feel your pain.
[hmm]Could it be that Killer found a way to conspire with the AI?

Taking a look at the map, the Arabs got a city from the nearby hut, allowing contruction of warriors there, very close and very annoying, but it can happen.
It is always one of the risks of having barbs...

Restarting is an option I think.
